That's my boat, I miss her. The Plume, and we spanked those other crews at the Pacific Challenge. She's solid wood, and even with both sails reefed once, in wind the teachers probably shouldn't have taken us out in, made her hull sing. She's a great boat. Hope she's getting taken care of at her new home.
I have a balanced lug dinghy. I have been interested in the various types of lugsail for some time. This is the first video I've seen that shows all the steps of tacking a dipping lug. Makes sense to me now. Thank you.
I like it that there is no boom to knock ppl unconscious during a tack. I like the boom less system. tack wold be safer if all ppl had ur sail type system.
