People shouldn't come here looking for a Buddy-esque highlight reel. Winning a Brownlow is about consistency, and standing up win, lose or draw; Fyfe competes for 120 minutes every week, and his strength and aerial skills are some of the best a midfielder has ever had.

It’s his marking ability as well as he’s ability to handball to a teammate in space while he is under pressure that separates him from the other midfielders
Deserved it. Didn't win many games, neither did the favourite Cripps, watching all dockers game this year, he truly was best on ground in majority of these games.

@LaZaR SS Fake Brownlow. AFL tribunal corruption let him off with multiple unsporting/dangerous acts since he was the favourite. Not saying he didn't deserve it for his skill, he's an absolute JET, but the Brownlow is for the fairest and best player. Fairest he certainly wasn't.
theres nothing wrong with getting 3 points n a losing performance but some of those games freo lost by a large margin, i dont care how well you played, you shouldnt get 3 in those performances

Al Cohlic only won that first Brownlow after the season before he was rubbed out for going up against the tribunal & receiving a fine ( much like Sam Mitchell a few years back ) so Fyfe & his management had a big sook to the afl & low & behold the following season they changed the rules so that you can be fined & still remain eligible for the Brownlow - then wins it after being up on the tribunal twice but escaping with just a fine. Dirty player & a sook when he doesn’t get his way. Can’t handle being tagged either. He’s an absolute FLOG !
Fyfe can do everything that dangerfield and cripps can do in the middle, what makes him better then both of them is his ability to take good contested marks and this season kick more goals then the other two. Clearly deserved to win this year. From a one eyed west coast fan

Fyfe is really inspiring for me to watch, he is my #1 favourite player and he gave me a reason to barrack for the Dockers and he doesn't even know it.
