The Best Way To COOK and Enjoy PINTO BEANS
      (1 bag)
the one bag will make alot of beans
      IS TO:
Boil 💦Them for around 3 hours or till done
Adding extra water💦 along the way
(make sure their is enough water💦 while cooking and in the end
They must be like soup runny not real thick)👍🏻
      Start your 6- 8 cups of water💦
      Bring to a Boil
Add your Beans & SALT to the water at the beginning 2 table spoons to start you can add more salt later if needed
      Then
Add 2-3 Freah whole Garlic Pc cut them in half...
      Then
Add a peeled 1/2 Onion just drop the half onion right into the water with the Beans
You can also add one whole chili
      (Optional) better flavor👍🏻slight heat
Then just cook the Beans for approx 3 hours stirring occasionally
When the Beans are soft and done
      Taste for Salt
      If needed more add more
You can remove the onion... some times the onion will desolve into the beans👍🏻
Take a potato masher and mash some of the Beans
(by mashing some of the beans right in the same pan this will release flavors)👍🏻
      Then serve your
Beans in a Small Bowl along side your favorite pc of meat with a flour tortilla
The flour tortillas must be warmed/ cooked in a skillet
      Warmed or toasted
      I prefer mine toasted
      Top with salsa
      SO SO GOOD😋👍🏻

Wow someone sent you pinto (red) beans. Easy recipe. Soak beans (that whole bag) in water overnight in the fridge. The beans will swell so soak in large bowl. Drain, rinse, put in large cooking pot, add one large onion (cut up), black pepper, one smoked ham hock, ham, or bacon, fill with enough water to cover beans and bring to a boil. Lower heat to low, cover with lid, and simmer. It is much easier if you have a crock pot or slow cooker. Just make sure to add water to keep beans covered. Beans and cornbread is very good. Red beans is one of those things that taste even better after they have been in the fridge.

Pinto beans boiled with bacon grease or salt pork and then eaten with corn bread is one of my absolute favorite childhood meals! So good! For the Magic Shell chocolate sauce, you pour it over ice cream and it hardens into a chocolate shell. The hot fudge is also eaten over ice cream, just warm it in the microwave for a few seconds and pour it over your ice cream.

When Recky took a bite of the jalapeno, I held my breath. LOL I knew he'd regret it. That's the brand of jalapenos I buy for myself. Hubbie is like Recky. He can't handle hot foods/spices. He CAN eat a little of my jalapenos IF I remove all the seeds for him and cut it real fine (like a relish). So FYI...the HEAT in jalapenos is --> the seeds!

Sorry to comment again! But the Head Country seasoning is someone my husband knew. Believe it or not hubby worked as a cowboy at 18 up in Kansas. He got to know one of the rancher's friends really well and his name was Bud Head. He had this dynamite seasoning and barbeque sauce for pork. My husband talked about it for years! Then one day we were in the grocery store and there was the seasoning and the sauce for sale. It's the BEST on the market and it's nice to know that even though Bud is gone, his family kept his recipe and his legacy is still taking care of his whole family. You're going to LOVE this. We use it all the time.

Caboose is an American term for a type of train car. They were mainly used during the era of steam trains. They were the last car on the train, and were usually painted red. This is where the Conductor rode. The caboose had an elevated observation nest where the Conductor could observe the train in transit. There were usually a few other railway workers there to operate switches and other tasks.

Hi from another Carol! I use the hot fudge as a frosting/topping for chocolate or vanilla cake, warm it a little in the microwave or on the stove to make it easier to spread onto the cake in a thin layer (because it is so sweet), and of course, it is wonderful warmed and served on top of ice cream. Hot pepper jelly is great on cream cheese on top of a cracker. And an important thing to remember about the Bisquick mix is NOT to over mix, small lumps are OK!! Especially when making pancakes with it. So enjoyed your reactions to this unboxing!!

A tip for you... if you do not use the whole can of peppers, put in small container or plastic sandwich bag and store in freezer. I do this with small can of chipotle peppers. I usually only use 1 or 2 peppers in my chili beans. It helps not to waste if you freeze the rest for later cooking. You can mash them to put small amount in other foods you want to spice. Experiment!

What a great video. Carol's eyes still tell an amazing story. For one of your "Not a cooking show" videos, I suggest making 6 or 8 hamburgers and sprinkle the different seasonings on each so you can get a variety of flavors and see which burger is the best. I'm so glad that somebody sent you a new pair of scissors so Recky saves his teeth. 8)

With the mashed potatoes you always have to add more butter and salt until you get it the way you like it. Even add a little milk a few drops at a time , to make it more creamy

Thank you, Dana, for sending them Bisquick!!!
Small tip when handling ANY chili: WASH your hands!!! That stuff stays on your hands and causes problems. You don't want to get that juice anywhere near any sensitive areas of your face or body.
Soup to nuts, they're set for some really great food, now!

Use one of your gallon Ziplock bags, put in 2 Tablespoons of butter and heat in the microwave for a few seconds to start it melting. Add a sleeve of Saltines and a tablespoon of the crushed pepper. Shake and serve as a snack. Carol, you can add a little more crushed pepper to your batch.

Some of my uses for Old Bay:
    (1) Put it in the cooking water when boiling shrimp. Nothing else needed.
    (2) Add it to mashed potatoes.
    (3) Sprinkle into a bag of no-salt potato chips or popcorn and shake it up.
    (4) Shake it over the top of any salad.
    (5) Flavor your Bisquick biscuits with it.
    (6) Mix it into butter, then refrigerate the compounded mixture.

Tajin is GREAT to sprinkle on Honeydew melon, Mango, Watermelon and Cantalope. It spices up the sweetness of the fruit and adds a salty seasoning. It is AWESOME. Some people also like it on squash and zucchini and such. Can also be used on rices or chicken.

On the West coast we use Tabasco on eggs or hash brown potatos. It is great on any tex-mex food too. I always use it on burritos.
My mother always used pepper jelly on her taco pie.
TIP: only 'warm' your hot fudge. If hot it will turn your ice cream to soup! However you can add a little to you cup of hot chocolate to make xtra chocolate flavor...

You can use Bisquick to make hundreds of things. Their pancake recipe is good, but my kids liked a little more than one cup Bisquick, a little less than 1 cup milk and an egg. Makes it a little thinner, but good. Try sprinkling with some crumbled bacon while you are cooking.
    You can make quiche.
