Denver/Golden, CO Severe Thunderstorm/Hailstorm (Lightning, HUGE hail destroys my car) 5/8/17

One of the biggest thunderstorms I've ever seen. At first it was just a bunch of lightning, then the hail came, and destroyed my car...
Ouch.
UPDATE: I am debating posting shorter clips of this video. The ending of this video has actually gathered some attention on facebook. I have learned this storm is the costliest in Denver history, and I don't doubt it. Easily the biggest storm I've ever witnessed. Will never forget this one.
One the plus side, my car has been replaced, and I will wear the dents of my new car from this hailstorm proudly. Battlescars.

Here in San Diego, Ca we don’t get anything like that. Every once in a while usually Aug-Oct we will get a couple of monsoonal thunderstorms from Arizona that’ll make it over the mountains and end up hitting the city typically on the eastern edge with small hail. We don’t get anything like that obviously.

The car is just a material object but be thankful you were not out there and get hurt by that strong hail...it will cost money to fix but you didn't end up in a hospital...
