Great information, thank you! I have a house the was built in 1900 with many layers of paint on all the trim, including painted over chipped paint... I guess I'm buying a heat gun soon.
@@sinister_lefty you are very welcome. I don’t show it on my YT channel, but our home was built in 1750. I stripped all of the paint from the crown moldings in one of our rooms using the same method. Please be sure to use a respirator and seal off the room so dust particles do not travel into other parts of your home. Old homes are very likely to have lead paint. Keep yourself and your family safe!
You are very welcome. Please be sure to wear a good respirator for the dust and fumes. You also may want to test to see if it is lead paint before tackling it.
I am sorry to hear that. If not done properly that can happen. The trick is knowing how much heat to apply and when to stop. It takes practice and experience.

Totally agree! This was a great test to confirm my belief.
Thanks very much for this. Great help in deciding. Your voice is very relaxing... you should do meditation videos! 🙂
Glad it helped and thank you for the kind words.
Thanks for this -- I'm going with the heat gun. I have a floor to do.

@@agjohnsonandson definitely, the paint I'm removing is latex, that I foolishly painted on the 110 yr old floors -- lesson learned.
My builder did this and burnt the wood!
