I've been following him since Home Town Heroes, then Under the Influence of Giants, and now, finally, AWOLNATION. Really happy with his success. He's always written and recorded some great tracks, so I'm glad they finally broke through!

Right? Bruno's one of my favorite lead singers in a long time. Theatrical, incredible vocals, charismatic like woah. Is it too early to put him right up there with Roger Daltrey? (Seriously, it is a rare front man who can make me actually enjoy rock screaming. Bruno and Daltrey are two of those rare dudes. They are just that freaking good.)

I wish I could meet this guy. I love his art. Every song I've heard, I totally dig what's in his head (as far as I think I might). I feel like I understand what he is saying in his music, and I agree with him. I have since before I heard the music. I don't know many people that are much like me. He would be fun to have a conversation with, like in one of those situations when you accidentally start into a conversation with a person at a party that you've never met, surrounded with the noise of minutia of the crowd around you that you aren't paying attention to because you're just having a really refreshing conversation with an interesting, like minded, intelligent person, who is possibly screwed up too because this world is (no words...)
    THANKS FOR THE POST!

I love the band and I love the singer's story. Inspirational and great. Their music has the right amount of modern sound and punk vocals. It's just good shit.

Really? You know him? How do you sell your soul if you are doing things exactly on your own terms and you are the same person in public as you are in private? He got kicked off two labels because he didn't want to conform to what they were pressing upon him, so he went out and did his own and luckily people love his music. You fault him for being successful? What you see in this interview and on stage is who he really is. Don't see how you can get more authentic thank that.

And you are oh so very deep, interesting, enlightened that you have to go on comment forums and try to talk shit and degrade people's work. So very "big picture" of you.

I saw Awolnation open for twenty one pilots on their bandito tour. The thing that stuck with me most was the performance of sail. Of course like most people I had heard the song many times, but when its performed live you can hear the passion in his voice. My favorite part of the song is when he says "don't do it" just before "maybe I should kill myself".

Seeing this short about awolnation, inspired me to leave a song I've written and recorded ruclips.net/video/W2-HjtOyUFo/видео.html I guess I'm inspired cause my story is similar to Aaron's. I've been in bands since I was 14 yrs old, punk, screamo, grunge-ish. I'm proud of a lot of that stuff but this song is an acoustic song i recorded with one of my best friends in Las Vegas, Nevada. I'm from salt lake city, utah. Believe it or not, I went to vegas to get clean from Heroin. I was lucky to have another friend that cared enough about me that once he heard how bad I was, he drove thru the night from Vegas to slc, picked me up from this really shitty motel in downtown, slc. I packed a duffle bag, thru my guitar on my back and hopped into his car, we then drove straight back to Vegas where I went thru the withdrawals at his abd his wife's house. They even gave me their room and bed and they slept on the couch for 4 nights. Anyway, this song is about saying goodbye to a girl I was with in slc. Both addicts. We have more songs under our paige. Which you can find by clicking the above link. There is so much more to my story. I'm 38 yrs old now, and in the last 10 yrs, I lost my best friend to suicide, 8 months later, I lost my wife in the same manner, became a single father of 2 daughters they were 8 & 6 at the time their mom passed, I became an addict because I was too much of a coward to deal with my pain, that led me to losing custody of my kids, to going to vegas, getting clean, 20 months later coming home to slc, finding full time work, regaining custody of my kids. Thru it all, music has been with me. These songs tell my story. Please listen and give me your honest opinion. If I could somehow turn my misery into my dream, it'd mean more then I can Express. I'd appreciate any and all support.
