Another absolute must would be to add stabalizer straps, to secure the upper and lower portions of the stand, also a bow holder. Third hand archery has some great accessories for summit stands.
My old Ole Man stand had straps where you could secure it when you reached your desired height. This absolutely secured the stand to the tree. Summit stands do not have this. Stepping too close to the tree can potentially cause the bottom piece to fall. If you stand up and catch the top section, it can also pull up and fall. Stabilizer straps remedy both issues. They lock both sides to the tree. I will not climb a tree with a Summit stand without my stabilizer straps. I use the Ones from Third Hand. You can make your own, but I find the ones from Third Hand are hands down the best way to go.
I recently removed my front storage bag because it really got in the way when I was carrying my stand. Once I took it off, I could carry my stand easily again. The bag got in the way of the straps. I did reinstall in on the side of the stand and I'll see how that goes.
Thanks! I’m just getting ready to try a tree climber this season and these are all great, very usable products for making the time more enjoyable. Great job!
Hey Brian! Thanks for checking out my channel and for the kind words! If you need any good climbing treestand recommendations, I’ve got a got few videos haha. Best of luck this season! 👍🏻
I have the Summit open shot and I think that front bag could work on the side of my stand, I could even double it up and put one on each side and not bring a backpack
Do you keep that on the treestand while you're hiking to your spot? I'm assuming you do since the velcro straps would spook any deer in the area. Is it easy to carry while on the stand while walking to your spot?
@@mountainbuck Hey i just got my summit yesterday as well as the pack. I found that it's easy to keep the pack on there with the two buckles while walking, then once there i unbuckle them then use the velcro straps to secure it. This is good since you don't have to undo the velcro straps so you don't make a bunch of noise in the woods.

Thanks a Lot
Thank you for watching igomez!👍🏻
Nice video Duane! I love the Summit climbers, but my favorite is still the Lone Wolf sit & climb, lol.
Haha thanks, Andy! I know you’re a big fan of Lone Wolf. They’re still on my agenda to check out sometime 👍🏻
I had the lone Wolfe sit and climb but in my opinion the viper SD is way more comfortable

Hey Kent! That is a great idea!!! Let me know if you end up trying it and it works out! 👍🏻

I just ordered the case and the phone holder but the case is back ordered but I paid for it anyway just a matter of getting it now.
Sweet! Some good products right there that will help get you set for sure 👍
Regarding the cell phone issue. I'm actually going to order a lanyard to attach to my phone.
Hey Aaron! Thanks for checking out my channel! Good call on the lanyard and best of luck this season 👍🏻
These paid commercials are old.
lol ok
I have the bag but I put it the other way so I don’t have to reach over the rail.
Hey that’s smart Daniel! Thanks for the tip! 👍🏻
