    This is perfect.
    I've always liked climbers due to their functionality but disliked it for the bulkiness and weight of having to walk them in every time you hunt.
    Saddles are the lightest weight to get you in a tree but 3-4 sticks can be cumbersome.
    This is like both worlds mashed together and I'm all for it.

    Addresses many issues with the DIY saddle climber attempts, except those arms..... Why not have pivoting arms that can be pinned up when climbing, but pivot down and lock into the platform via machining when the post is engaged? Could have made the top corner of the arms grooved for traction and IMO it would have been a much better alternative to that hole in the middle of the platform for foot placement.... Perhaps future improvements.

    • @Pantherplatforms

      This is not a flat platform like traditional platforms, the band tubes offer a level of comfort that’s never been experienced before. When you lock this to the tree I would hate to lower the band tubes because that’s a key feature in comfort, we also hate fumbling with moving parts. We like to just pull off our pack and run with it

    • @kylestauffer6228
      @kylestauffer6228 Год назад +1

      @@Pantherplatforms I suppose if you're a "leaner", comfort would be the only argument for that. I learned quick years ago that leaning is fine for waiting on deer movement or making a strong side shot. In my experience, sitting against the tree or standing is the safest position to move from on pressured whitetails.
      To each their own, but I'd sacrifice that angled tube for a larger flat foot surface and less to lift my foot over as I move around the tree. Good luck with your product!

      That’s roughly a 22 inch in diameter tree….. that’s extremely way too big for my comfort level while saddle hunting. Most two piece climbers don’t recommend climbing that big of a tree. This platform is designed for saddle hunters only even a 15 inch in diameter tree is still a tree I would never climb for saddle hunting, now if I was using a two piece climber then yes all day I’d climb that.

    Yet another company popping up gouging with inflated prices. This is like Lone Wolf's new $1,000.00 climber. Come on guys. Last night I picked up a used climber for $70.00. This morning I cut the bottom platform down, it's now 6.39 Lbs(If you can't pack 6-8Lbs you should re-evaluate) and has more foot room and can go on a larger variety of tree sizes. Should I re-sell it for $500.00?
