    GREAT REVIEW! Thanks for the feedback on the pack, how much webbing would you like to see added? We'll pass it along and get it implemented on the next round. Fantastic job!

      Do U have a 100 liter pack?
      Poncho is great Addition.
      However It would be nice to have a separate pack cover that we buy or U can add-in. Also this would be alternative to a great poncho if someone like me is concerned about breathability hiking in a fully coated waterproof poncho.

      I'd love to see a pack larger than 90 liters, with a thick rain cover to match, capable of holding 60+ lbs.

    how does this compare with the Baltoro 95L? I hate the price of the Baltoro. Looking for less expensive options

    Quick question if you’ve still got the pack, but are the stays curved out to create that air space between the back and the pack? I just received mine and the curve is pretty aggressive, just wanted to make sure it was intentional…

  • @caven930
    @caven930 5 лет назад +2

    The poncho is cool and all but I would assume most people have rain gear already. I would rather it just be a pack cover IMO.

    How big is the bottom pouch? I have the Explorer which is the size below the 5500 and even with my military sleep system compressed it wont fit in the bottom pouch and I was hoping this one would because the price points are not that far apart. Thank you

    Getting ahead of myself (as I'm still watching the vid) but how is a 5 lbs pack (w/o tarp & poncho) considered to be "Ultralight"?

    • @livingsurvival
      @livingsurvival  8 лет назад +3

      +SoCalDaveL that is what they call it. considering it is a 90 liter pack though 5lbs is pretty ultralight.

    Watched the 2700 vid and you mentioned a 90 liter pack and buddy and my are considering some 7+ days trips, so I had to watch it. Great video and the price of these is so low I can't really believe it for what you get; I showed my wife and she said no, I said why, she said because then you will have to buy a ton of damn gear to fill it....my response was yea obviously, she said stop watching his videos! Lol, thanks for the review man keep em coming!

  • @deela1058

    Another thought to mention, The detachable bag is a very good attempt at what SHOULD BE a larger size detachable bag one that could properly store basic Summit Requirements , yet large enuff to hold emergency bug out bag: winter bivvy sack clothes winter sleeping bag alcohol stove n kit winter emergency food water fuel clothes down jacket & all n kit for emergency.
    Extended Stays of 30 days or more w no Re-supply in extreme remote areas are becoming more and more popular.
    Please create these options
    And tell us of your fabric if it's weatherproof & what type weights of fabrics n such

    I'm really diggin this pack. I have been looking at a few of the TETON packs for awhile for backpacking. I need to get a new pack for backpacking and I don't have a ton to spend. This is a GREAT option for 3 seasons. I wouldn't use it in the summer though because its black. That would be HOT!

    I dunno. My Titan 65 is almost exactly the same, give or take, lighter and I only paid $75 new. (Although the price has gone up)
    And a 90 liter pack is freaking huge! Like almost too big for anything you could carry. To each their own, I guess, but I have more than enough room in my 65 liter.

  • @MG-ze3lf
    @MG-ze3lf 8 лет назад

    This is a very nice pack. I wish Teton would combine certain features into this pack from other ones. It's hard to find one specific pack to my taste. I like a lot of compartments on the outside like the Explorer 4000 and top and bottom compressions for tent and bed roll. A lot of packs don't have those and have to put the tent inside diminishing space for food and clothing. I would also love to someone make horizontal daisy chains on the outside to hang MOLLE bags other than having to by a MOLLE bag. most daisy chains are vertical. I'm almost sold on this one though. I especially like the smaller 3L on the back cause that's where I like to put my medic kit. But not sure if its big enough because I do like to pack a lot of medical stuff since I am a medic.

    great review! I am definitely considering buying this pack. my only real concern is the color.Black?!? usually I am backpacking in the summer so it's really hot. I feel like it would attract so much heat and everything in it would just melt (kidding)! Is this something that I should worry about?

    • @livingsurvival
      @livingsurvival  8 лет назад

      +Real Outdoors They have packs in other colors but I certainly wouldn't use black in the dessert. For me it works as a winter pack as I typically won't need that large of a pack in the summer.
