Your Mother lives right down the HWY from my Mother. I was at her home the same time you were in ‘Ol Kentucky. Beautiful country. I am glad you are supporting your Mother. Thank you for sharing your journey.🍁
I'm really enjoying following along on your road trip. Several years ago my Dad and I broke down at the rest rear where you had lunch. A tow truck ride to Columbia plus a $400 repair bill and we were able to finish the trip back to Georgia.
Still hete with you, vicariously enjoying the road trip. Love your video skills, food, and products reviews. Especially your tenacity to explore and travel alone. Keep up the good work.
Fun trip. I always wonder what difference it makes if you park a 4Runner, van, or tent in an RV spot... they get the same amount of rental on the spot. And, the RVs use way more electricity.
Stealth camping would eliminate those time constraints, & it's free. Love the adventure,...& yeah, I get the public bathroom startled looks too. 🙄😉 Happy trails & wagging tails to you & your longfellow-pup.
True. I just like to spend time in the woods and not so much inside my vehicle, especially after a long day of driving 😵💫 I did keep some stealth spots on my back pocket - just in case. 😉
You know what kind of bar is really yummy? Chocolatey and delicious? Snickers…snickers really satisfy 😉. Also, I use Libby to access my library, and it downloads for sure. So, maybe double check. I listen to a ton of books, but I do have an Audible subscription. They have a lot of free books if you pay the yearly fee, FYI.
My dad was born in Benton Illinois. Neat to see your travels in the Midwest. Wow! Such a narrow window for check ins! I’m fairly certain I’d have been locked out 😳. Looking forward to the next leg!
Did Gunther finally get his digestive track back on schedule? My dog went for three days on one trip from NC to FL. She really doesn't like long travel days at all and really only tolerates camping. I have adopted your style of one or two nights and try for every month. That works best for my dog so that then works for me. It is all about the comfort level of our dogs after all!
He finally went at my mom’s - day FOUR 😳 He definitely prefers to go at home, and will only even pee just once or twice at day when we travel, despite that I’m always plying him with water and letting him out every time we stop. 🤷
Me too! The rest area is jane’s that because there is a town of the same name nearby 😊 www.kansasrestareas.com/ks-interstate35-kansas-i35-towanda-service-plaza-bidirectional-mile-marker-62/
Just started watching your videos. I am planning similar trips in a similar set up. Is this a one time trip for you or do you have more plans to travel in the future?
I do that every day because I keep walking into into men’s bathrooms because I worked for Kroger for 30 years and when you walk into each store, one could be on the left one could be on the right and I’m bad about walking into the wrong one

I love how Gunther was super comfortable. He was out like a light.❤❤. Safe travels.

I’m enjoying these videos so much. Helps me understand how to plan a trip with my two puppers. Welcome to my home of Illinois!
Great to be riding along on your cross country trip. 😉👍
Thank you for sharing and especially the lessons learned!

Well, I hope you liked Cheney lake
That looks like a shower in a military building except those shower stall don't have doors.
Yikes! 🫣

I am learning that some places are more flexible with the check in windows than what they post, but still makes me nervous 😬
Those ttokboke kits are my daughter favorite!
It wa pretty good - would buy again 😋

This is probably a once-in-a-while type trip. It was an interesting change of pace, but I didn’t like being away from home for so long.
Next time go through Medicine Park and Wichita Mtns Wildlife Area and see bison. If you can.
😂Ramen that you can even eat sober/ Snoop 😂👍
Has Gunther went #2 yet? I’m a dog mommy, so.
Good morning, what are your average MPG on this trip?
I have no idea; I didn’t keep track 😬
Don't you just love those double takes...🙄
My favorite is when they step out to check the sign to make sure they walked into the right room 😂
