    Great job !! I absolutely LOVE my Ninja Woodfire grill !! It has officially become my favorite cooking machine Over top of many other grills griddles etc. !! I hope Ninja gives you a sponsorship because you could really hit a home run for them with your awesome videos !!

    You folks really deserve a nice sponsorship from those Ninja folks... it's well overdue! I actually love it could work as a straight dehydrator as well... something I've so much been wanting to try. Thanks so much for this Galley fam!

    I can tell you went with the directions to cook food from the ninja booklet......NEVER, NEVER go by the directions from the book, they messed it up and all your food will turn out burnet.

      Yes we did. That was one of the points I wanted to make with this this first video on the Woodfire. Still came out great, not burnt tasting at all. The bark was a little darker than usual on a pork shoulder. Thanks for watching!

    Probably would've went 250 with half the pellets used. That's why it turned out black. Have seen other videos like this where it cooks in half the time with less pellets used and it turns out perfect.

    So I can add another scoop of pellets just by re pressing the ignite button during the cooking process?

    • @GalleyoftheSun

      Not really sure. We have never added a second batch since we get so much smoke flavor from the initial batch.

      On the matter of adding more pellets during the smoking process, just open hatch and add. That's it, it continues to smoke.

    Does look a little dry. Did you wrap it? If not it would have helped keep it more moist and you could have pulled it when the bark was set but not too dark. Thanks for the video looking to get one!

    • @GalleyoftheSun
      @GalleyoftheSun  2 года назад

      The pork was not dry at all. We did not wrap. So far it is proving to be a fantastic choice for tailgating, or for someone who cannot have a regular smoker. We cook a tri-tip in it in our episode on 10/13.

    1 scoop I found is not enough if you want smoke flavor, top it off every couple hours during a smoke

      Sadly, this was bought with our own money at full price. You would think that with our Ninja addiction, they would throw some love our way. This Thursday’s episode features a Tri-tip cooked in the Woodfire.

    One of the main reasons I am contemplating this unit vs a tabletop pellet smoker is that I believe this unit would be allowed in a multi level rental complex. Just don't want to sacrifice taste for space. And sponsorship by Ninja? Forget about it. I don't believe they sponsor anyone.

    • @GalleyoftheSun
      @GalleyoftheSun  Год назад +1

      We can dream, can't we? Thanks for stopping by. To this point, we are quite happy with the Ninja. If you are not using the smoke feature, it does all the functions that the Ninja® Foodi™ Smart XL Grill does, so even if it puts out too much smoke for your neighbors to use frequently on your patio or deck, we believe you would get use out of it in your kitchen when not using the smoke feature except for those times you can take it far away enough from the complex to utilize the smoke feature.

      The amount of muscle he used to pull the meat apart with those heavy-duty pullers tells me along with the picture of the meat is that it is well overcooked and definitely NOT tender. The dude is trying too hard to get a Ninja sponsorship at the expense of telling the truth to us!!!!!
