I did a similar look at the high speed bursts about a month ago. What stood out to me wasn't just his numbers against other players, but how his number compared to entire TEAMS (it's around 50%). That means it's statistically very likely Nate alone has more bursts than most combinations of 5 players another team can put on the ice combined. (Though I sincerely hope at least one goalie has a burst from an end of game goalie pull situation...it would be a hilarious stat for a goalie to register.)
IMO MacK's biggest skill is playing fetch with the puck while on a signature bull rush. Unlike McJesus, he puts the puck away from his stick to deter poke checks & easily beat defenders 1v1. You also mentioned his skating style: MacK has mentioned that he works with a power skating coach to exact every tiny advantage from his technique. It's evolved over time.
