The Hockey PDOcast Episode: Logan Stankoven, Competitive Skating, and Net Front Habits
i was talking to a good friend of mine who played the game in college. He said that if this system was ever taught today the other teams would have no chance to defend it. But you have to have guys who can skate like McDavid or Nathan MacKinnon. The weaving is really frustrating to play against. It would probably take a few seasons to get the players to really understand it. I think its amazing That Scotty Bowman put the 5 of them together and let them do their thing without him getting in the way.
You guys have gotta do another one of these for Quinn Hughes🙏🏻
Just discover your channel, love it ❤ keep it up
HE SHOULD HAVE WAY MORE POINTS!!!! IMAGINE HIM WITH DRAISAITL OR RANTANEN
They look like if you plucked two top end guys from today’s NHL and sent them back in time. The skill is insane here. Kariya was such a dynamic player and watching him in real time, it was nuts how absolutely lethal him and Selanne were. If I had to do a comparison, I’d say Kaprizov plays a very similar game to Paul. Not the biggest guy but is incredibly shifty, dominates in the high triangle, has an insanely good shot, and has crazy good vision.
Marchenko has been my best waiver grab for my fantasy squad this year! This is why I love fantasy hockey! How else would I know how incredibly skilled he is unless I was feeling the direct results of his game?
Same ! He seems so underrated
@@TheRealLarryFisherman but making a very good name for himself!👍👍
The commentator said it, he seems to be all over the ice on some shifts! What a player
The kraken getting so cook they lost two time
Make a lane hutson one hes been very good
W
one of the most lowkey impressive moments in this whole compilation, to me at least, is watching him stay on his feet with a 6'6" Colton Parayko leaning straight into him at 1:48
love this! kids going to be great. Any chance you can make a Bedard one too?
HC Ryan Warsofsky has demoted every prospect in the system that has been called up this season however Celebrini has never left the top line because he is 110% effort in every zone, his compete is setting the pace for the rest of the team and his playmaking is driving offense. Truly a one of a kind player and an elite franchise Center. In terms of comps I would say he is a hybrid of Crosby, Kane and Bergeron.
Outstanding all-around, the defensive work rate and ability to win back possession might be my favorite aspect of his game.
Этот парень в полном порядке👍🏻 Вот он обладатель Колдер трофи,какой нахуй мичков🤡 Сахи возрождаются💪🏻
Sharks fan here. I gotta say THIS VIDEO! THANK YOU! More of this!
Sharks fan here, thank you for the past 3 videos you guys have done on Mack. Please keep up the great work! Looking forward to more videos in the future!
28:28 this play was huge, prevents an empty net goal, Sharks would go on to tie the game and it’s only because of this effort of Celebrini
Kid is like sooo strong, undercover strength. Elite stuff
Incredible player, like ridiculously good
His instinct and capability in the league as an 18 year old is insane. Very rare to be that good in the face off circle and defensively responsible, all while driving the play too. The future is teal! Go Sharks!!
Great podcast. Sharks fan here, but never played the sport, so all the details were very welcome and i feel like I'm more educated on what to watch for.
great show guys. you are right, just about everything celebrini does is remarkable. i didn't expect him to really have no holes in his game at the NHL level but oh baby, oh mama!
I DEVOURED every second of that video. Once the pucks start dropping the sky is the limit!
This kid is gonna be so good lmao like just the perfect hockey player to start a franchise with, already good defensively can’t imagine him when he’s 23.
born June 13, 2006. year of the dawwwggg (actually lol).
Kid is friggen incredible
Love your videos man hope you do one on michkov and another on Quinn Hughes
32 minutes!? lets goo
christmas has come early. thank you so much
I'm a habs so I don't often see his play but this guy is CRAZY good. Future top 3 player in the league. Sharks, i am jealous😂.
Big shout out to Grier doing a great job turning things around. Win or lose very exciting team to watch.

Here in 2024 miss this guy
I grew up in Boston watching Bobby Orr, so that's where I'm coming from....But guys like Quinn Hughes and Connor McDavid have so much talent and skill it boggles my mind more than watching Orr. NHL players are the best athletes in the world, and they are all better than the guys from the 70s, and to be this talented, to skate with better balance and agility than all of us can walk is not normal.
He looks good
Best 18 years old rookie since Matthews and Laine
That power play sequence is insane 🤯Celebrini is must watch TV. This video actually does his game justice.
This is one game lmao. Watching him play is mind bending. I genuinely don’t know if I’ve seen such a dominant force as a kid. Some young stars have offense, few have defense, some can do zone entries or win puck battles, some back check and forecheck well. but this kid does it all and he doesn’t really have off games and if he does he is still one of the best and most noticeable players on the ice in all 3 zones. Talented, consistent, competitive. You can’t compare him to some of the greats just yet but as far as 18 year old seasons idk if seen this before.
I don’t think I have either I completely agree, kids gonna be HOF if he stays healthy
Celebrini is what you get when you combine Toews and Kane.
Reminds me a lot of Matthews
He's way more complete than Matthews. Matthews is a better scorer but he doesn't have the 200ft game Mack has. Mack is more a Toews/Kane/Bergeron hybrid.
@3lackavar ummm...what? Lol
To me he's like a Temu version of Crosby. Really similar game
@@CanadianBongRipper Temu? He's even more complete than Crosby at the same age, honestly. Crosby was already a dominant offensive force though but as 18 year olds, they're on the same tier. Celebrini is 1st in puck battle wins, 1st in controlled zone entries per game (over McDavid and MacKinnon), top 5 in 1v1 dekes completed, highest clocked speed for a u23 player in the NHL right now. He's also hovering around 50% faceoffs. The kid is unbelievable.
Kid is the TRUTH!
big joe hockey IQ
🔥 🦈 🏒 👍
Thanks for posting. This kid looks like the real deal, two way super skilled and only 18. Impressed with his D and willingness to go to the dirty areas on the ice. Because of that, I hope the Sharks get an enforcer to “keep the flies off him”!!!
I am beyond excited for the full mix. Thank you for your hard work!
the amount of slashing and hooking against him on every goal is insane...
Seems more complete than Bedard at the moment but may just be a matter of circumstance
No, I love Beds but Macklin is and has always been the more complete player. Hes also more of a shooter than anyone expected. But the way he’s handling pro men at 18 is crazy
@@OhYaSure Was leaning more at the support the surrounding cast has been providing Celebrini compared to the bums Bedard is dealing with. Crucial for early development
I think he is less skilled than bedard, but he is more NHL ready... aside from having a two-way game. If he is Crosby, than Bedard is like Ovi when comparing style. A playmaker two-way forward compared to a sniper. And two-way players win you cups. But we'll see.
@@Xavier-016I think they have a very similar play style, I’m a sharks fan but I don’t think one is better than the other, macklin gets the whole team involved and it makes them better as a squad and therefore makes macklin look like a great leader, bedard has the same mindset and does the same thing, but I feel like the blackhawks rely heavily on him to produce and don’t pick him up and make him look as good. That’s just my opinion tho
@@capnn yeah i mean Celebrini gets to work with greats like Luke Kunin and Barclay Goodrow
When a lane hutson video??
Hello, we love all the detail on your show. We just wish you could do the break down more to the specific clips. You have a lot of clips and they are all great. But it gets confusing when you are showing one thing and talking about something else. We understand that you are mainly a radio show, but maybe this segment (player breakdown) could be more matched - commentary to video. For example: talking about faceoff plays - faceoff clips, etc.
