School employees are basically like security guards these days. They can’t touch a suspect/unruly kid because it’s too much of a liability and nobody wants a lawsuit. So they essentially are just there for show when it comes to ACTUAL security, otherwise it’s all the cops’ job. 🤷🏼♂️ Blows my mind, too. Cause I definitely believe in restraining anyone that’s out of line (*within reason* of course). I just don’t see why a teenager acting crazy should be allowed to just keep acting crazy because the adults/authority figures are too scared or instructed NOT to interact. I disagree. It isn’t always the parents’ faults. There are kids who come from good homes and had a great upbringing. You can teach your kids right from wrong but they’ll still go out and do stupid things. These kids have their own minds. It still sucks though.

We need to make a law were everything a student brings to school can be searched. It may be the only way to keep our children safe. Plus all schools should be built with video cameras. I know a lot of counties have to call a law officer to search a child. It really shouldn't go that far. If the teachers could search phone backpacks , purses and what not would save time and maybe lifes.

no bc that would take up an unnecessary amount of time. students already spend a majority of time at school and theyd have to take out of summer break in order for that. they should add more metal detectors maybe but not a full on search. i think most schools in america have caneras in the halls though(at least in my state) i think they should add them jn class rooms as well personally

I actually feel bad for the kid that smoked an unknown substance. At age 16, I had a psychotic break in the hospital because of an antiemetic (anti nausea) they gave me. (Raglan, beware!) It's a well documented reaction to this medication. His description is very similar to my experience. The echoing was overwhelming! I knew i was losing my mind. I also apparently pulled out my IV and tried to stab the Dr with it. When I came-to mentally I was shackled to my bed. I had lingering effects for a few days and it was terrifying. I wasn't sure if I would ever be back to normal.
He played them all. They found evidence of his drug use. Meanwhile the teacher he assaulted is in ICU having the top of her skull removed bc her brain was swelling!

NGL the way he described his high was incredibly familiar to my personal experience with carts. I don’t partake but I was curious and paranoid and went into a panic attack after I felt the effects and felt the lagging and heart felt like it was beating outside my ears and it was just not a good time; but I didn’t punch a teacher I just went to sleep. So perhaps he hit a cart and was anxious about it and it caused him to panic and worsened his high. Idk I’m not an expert or him. I’m just speaking from personal experience it felt similar
