- In modern day interior designing and space planning we have to consider doing false ceiling and lightweight partitions.
There are different types of boards available in the market which can be used in the false ceiling. The same boards can be used for dry wall partitions.
False ceiling and dry walls are created for decorative purpose. In addition to the purpose of decorating the interiors false ceiling and dry wall partitions are also made for thermal insulation and prefab structure cabins and rooms.
in this video we will be talking about four types of boards which can be used in false ceilings as well as dry walls. A few of these words are more popular and useful in dry walls than false ceilings.

MR means moisture resistant and is used for ply.
@@InteriorDost i have seen usg boral & saint gobain MR board in market which is used as alternative for gypsum board in toilets or kitchen areas due to its moisture resistant nature.

Which board has the least weight on ceiling... for old building slabs? I read that Calcium silicate board ( Heliux ) 6mm board has weight of 4kg.. is this true ?
Hilux is very heavy. What is the purpose of false ceiling.
@@InteriorDost just for the look... since society is old I don't want to put something heavy which add more weight on ceiling. At the same time I want a smooth paint look so I don't want to put pvc sheets. My choice was Helix, Gproc and pop.
