I love how you explain things. It's artistic, but not overly abstract. I loved when you said this camera sharpens you and clears out the creative cobwebs by being able to be artistic yet pure. Awesome review and content
“It was apparent that Europe has been marinating in its culture for so much longer than back home” … brilliant phrasing, thank you for this. Love the way you put it
I was told this video was the perfect compliment to my latest video, so naturally I had to come watch it. Lovely photos, and I love your vibe! I'm also incredibly envious of your trip to Lisbon -- what a gorgeous city dripping with culture and photographic opportunity. Instant sub!
I had lost track of you for a few months. The algorithm wasn't showing you. And then there you were again. You're so good at telling these little stories about gear and photography--they are personal, intimate. Unique in that way. Thanks!
beautiful video my friend, subbed! you definitely should make a vid on the grading videos, this video is so nicely colored, on point film emulation and halation. Loved it mate, curious to briefly know how you graded it!
Appreciate that Pranam - you should check out Juan Melara, he's actually a colorist and explains things properly. I'd be speaking out of my ass with regards to colour.
Im a software engineer who sketches for casual fun for years now. I have an A7s3 and I am thinking of a x100v… This video made me understand my hobbies and life. Im always high end specs for everything and had always questioned myself as why I like and do art on the side. I want to sketch life through my Fuji so I can stay away from the complexity that real life throws our way. Thank you
Thank you putting together this video. It was enjoyable to watch and remind myself of when I first got a camera. I've always wanted an x100 and for that matter just a new camera, but you know...life. So I've recently dug up my d7000 and starting capturing photos on it again and I've gotta say, there is a bit of charm in going back to the camera that started it all and using it regularly again, especially when cameras have advanced so far. Hope you get to visit Europe more often in the future. Cheers!
I was looking for some confirmation bias after selling a load of bigger gear and going back to a used x100V, now everyone's clamoring for the VI... and you've delieverd for me big time. Thanks :)
Nice review, and all the photos showing in the video looks amazing. No editing ? wow then Which film simulation are used generally ? or is it your own recipe ? Thanks
Really enjoy your style. Easygoing, approachable, non-pretentious and calming voice. Easy subscribe. Just picked up an X100F secondhand and hope to be inspired to find and tell stories. Lisbon is a magical place and I think you captured parts of it very well. Glad you got a taste.
Your photos turned out great. you have such a good eye! Btw, what camera are you shooting with in Portugal, for the video inserts. Really digging the colours!
just stumbled upon your channel and love your videos... looks so effortless (though i know the effort that has gone into it ), very stylistic and "cinematic" and yet very simple. Subbed immediately. keep them coming... cheers
Great video! Mind if i ask what film simulations you are using mostly? And how do Dynamic range setting, do you leave it on something or just use auto?
I seldom use the video features. It being such a light camera with no stabilization, it's hard to get useable footage. It also seems to overheat quickly in video mode. To be honest I don't even think of doing it. Maybe I should...
Is there a reason literally everyone went to lisban? I swear I've seen so many photographers there in the last few days, and then my cousin posted a photo on insta, the second i saw the photo i knew exactly where she was 🤣 what's going on
I noticed that when I got back too! It was completely spontaneous for us, we never had our sights set on Portugal and one day we just though 'why not?'
I'll never own an x100v, because we can't buy it. Yen is getting battered and im 100% sure thats the "supply issue" Japanese companies *hate* raising prices, and i bet sourcing materials to manufacture them is hurting them. I never thought I needed one since I am fully kitted out with a full nikon z6 kit and every prime they make and a contax g1, and a few medium format/large format. It wasnt that I brought my g1 + 35mm f/2 out that I had so much fun shooting friends and social situations that I just want one to just shoot on jpeg.
I already know how much I love this camera but still had to watch this, always love how you share your perspective. ❤ Also, I legitimately laughed out loud because I related so hard at 3:50. Hahaha So many times I've said something and in my head, I'm like "oh FFS" but I FEEL WHAT I FEEL! 🥲
Nima’s style is just so effortless. The videos that consistently make smile.
Same
Appreciate it dude 👊🏼

Thanks man - I'll be sure to check yours out!
Just found this channel and love it. The fact you paused to snap a couple shots of the e30 wagon at 0:30 tells me everything I need to know, haha
You’ve sold me on the Fuji :) I’m a videographer and I really am not hyped to do any post on photos, I just want a clean image out of the camera! :D
I had lost track of you for a few months. The algorithm wasn't showing you. And then there you were again. You're so good at telling these little stories about gear and photography--they are personal, intimate. Unique in that way. Thanks!
Thank you! But the algo isn’t to blame, I hadn’t posted in about 3 months 😐
Amazing video!! I kinda saw it coming given the pictures on Vero lmao. Keep up the great work!

@@TheGlassEyeTV I do kniow him and watch his videos! I did try film unlimited, a film emulation of his
You never miss. Another great video
Glad your back! Love your cinematography and overall vibe. Inspires me to pick up my camera and get out there

Couldn’t agree more! I had to wait six months for my shiny new black X100V to arrive but it was definitely worth the wait!
yeah the backorder on that camera has been insane
You are without a doubt the best RUclips photographer I’ve seen. Most are so annoying but you are just a normal dude. Thanks
Appreciate that

@@TheGlassEyeTV visit Switzerland next. It's expensive but it is breathtaking

Love your review and the natural way you go about talking about gear in general
Nice review, and all the photos showing in the video looks amazing. No editing ? wow then Which film simulation are used generally ? or is it your own recipe ? Thanks
It's been a while, ah? :)
Thanks for the relaxing video!
Good to be back! And thanks for watching
First time in EU and you picked a gem of a city to explore. 🎉🎉
Now I'm itching to go back!
Fun video; love it; and Matt's sketches are incredible!
Yeah, I've been bugging him to create an IG account to just feature the sketches.
Really enjoy your style. Easygoing, approachable, non-pretentious and calming voice. Easy subscribe.

Thanks Alejandro! Check the next video. All the video was shot on the A7iv.

Thanks man, glad you enjoy the videos
Love your analogies & wording. Awesome work
Thanks Saul, appreciate that!
Perfect description of this camera. Love mine!
I very much love this romantic way of talking about your craft.
Love it! Had a chance to shoot on a Fuji a little while ago and it’s true. It really does bring the joy back!
I still want to get my hands on that XH2S
What recipe's are you using?
Portra 400 V2 from FujiXWeekly
man, your storytelling is amazing!
Great video! I could have watched for an hour.
great little video....but you left me wanting to watch more!!
Nice images of Lisbon! Greetings from Portugal.
Can’t wait to come back!
Why did the video end? 😢 We want more!
That’s what it is. Every day. Until the new one comes out and then… back to the store! 😅
hahahaha ain't that the truth...
was this recorded using the camera as well? so beautiful, thanks for sharing
No, the video was all shot on the Sony A7iv
Great video! Mind if i ask what film simulations you are using mostly? And how do Dynamic range setting, do you leave it on something or just use auto?
It's all with the same recipe - Portra 400 V2. Always 400% DR
@@TheGlassEyeTV Thanks man! Have a good one 😀
Beautiful images. Did you use a fuji profile, film simulation, or do you grade them individually in post?
For the photos? They're all straight out of camera jpegs. Portra 400 V2 recipe.
What camera do you use in the 27 second of this film?
Video is all A7iv, photo is the Fuji
What’s your film recipe?
Portra 400 V2 from Fuji X Weekly.
nice. what recipe did you use?
Portra 400 V2 from Fuji X Weekly. With clarity set to zero
Good job buddy. Keep it going…
Just wish it had image stabilization 😢
What do you think about the x100v video options ??
I seldom use the video features. It being such a light camera with no stabilization, it's hard to get useable footage. It also seems to overheat quickly in video mode. To be honest I don't even think of doing it. Maybe I should...
Was all of the video footage from your trip recorded on the X100V too?
Nope - that's all shot on the Sony A7iv
20 seconds into your video i subscribed 👌
love your style. subbed
Thanks Corey!
this is such a good video. all I can say
😎Thanks for a relaxing video, without hideous banging background music. All pitched perfectly; I am now suitably enthused 🇬🇧
Was this entire video filmed on this camera?
No, the video footage was filmed on the Sony A7iv, the photos were shot on the Fuji.
@@TheGlassEyeTV thanks! waiting for new videos!
I love this.
this was so pleasant, felt as if i walked with you in those travel photo walks. and so well-said/well-written! which film sim/recipe were you using?
Thanks Aaron! Everything is the Portra 400 V2 from Fuji X Weekly
Great video 👍
❤
More x100v content please!!
