Always nice to have a Jr. Equipment operator 👍👌 they become Sr oporators in no time!! 40 and not swamped isn't bad. It's the 40 and wet that is hard on everything... Thanks for the mention and the video!!!
Man, i have no idea how i missed this video, glad you got some manure cleaned up while it was warm out, to bad winters finally showing up, i was enjoying a prolonged fall.
It worked good that day, glad we did it. The yards have been staying pretty good since. Yes winter is here now, supposed to be getting more snow this weekend and next week.
It was, always makes me feel happy to have all the concrete clean and have fresh bedding for the animals to lay on. Thank you so much for watching hope you enjoyed it take care!
We kinda snuck by again, only ended up with maybe 4 “ out of the strom. It has most certainly Colder this week. Take care. Stay safe and healthy thanks for watching!
What’s your consumption rate daily do you figure out that QLF and how much energy does it replace in corn do you think or are you still feeding the same amount of corn on your fat cattle? I’ve been experimenting with dry granulated molasses and hay as a pour over. Been warm here all winter. Lake Michigan is protected us every time something comes across the lake barely have much frost in the ground may be a few inches
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you Ray I wanted to make sure I told you correctly. The QLF product is called Super 40. It’s a 40%protein supplement. The cows are on it free choice, consumption really varies depending on how good the hay is in the feeder. They are eating approximately 35lbs of hay a day and I feed 5 pounds a hd of a corn/oats mixture per day My feeder steers are getting about 12-15 pounds of a16% complete finishing ration from the co-op along with free choice grass hay.
