My favorite thing about him is he deadass fought with mark and em against the viltrumites 😭 bro had a pretty heavy introduction into the superhero world and somewhat held his own. He was badass in his own way.

I met Kirkman at a FCBD signing for the release of Astounding Wolf-Man at a Mile High Comics. He signed 50 books for me and one of them was Tech Jacket No. 1. When he saw it he paused for a moment, flipped through it, and said "I haven't seen one of these in a while." Cool book.

Always felt like the Tech Jacket series deserved an animated series of its own. Same applies to The Astonishing Wolf-Man & Science Dog.

robot and tech jacket did work together when omnipotus invaded. id reckon he scanned the suit and reversed engineered it as best he could for his future models. which (without spoiling) really give viltrumites a run for their money

He doesent need it that much hes already better than viltrumites because hes a human and capable of producing adrenaline, so hes already at least x10 stronger than viltrumites in that state
@@casualcookin3893idk where this idea comes from. I’ve read the comic series front to back 3 times. Nowhere does it officially state this. The only reference is when conquest says getting angry doesn’t make you stronger, then mark gets angry and beats him up. Nowhere is it canonically stated that he gets stronger because of adrenaline let alone 10x stronger.
This is an entirely fan driven theory that has not been confirmed. Beyond that, viltrumite DNA overpowers whatever host species DNA there is overtime, by the end of the series marks adrenaline glands likely will disappear due to his lack of need for them.
@@casualcookin3893 you're misinterpreting what the tech jacket does. It's not some iron man suit, It straight up buffs you in every way. That's why Tech Jacket was stronger than the Geldarians, because humans are physically stronger than they are
@ I dont know where it comes from too, im not that big of a nerd for this universe i just enjoy the series, but it makes sense and he wont lose them because im pretty sure his adrenaline is trough the roof everytime he faces viltrumite soldiers, and the same couldnt be said for them as they selectivelly bred their race to perfect soldiers that wouldnt feel fear and adrenaline on the battlefield as it can make you make mistakes
Also adrenaline will in fact make anyone way stronger, people have killed wild animals like pumas and even fended off grizzly bear attacks
I guess we are gonna watch the show and see if mark being Half human would offer him any benefits or not

He’s going to be in Season 4. Right now we’re in the “Invincible War” arc. The way the show is going and how they change things up; we might see glimpses of him in Season 3.

@ he’s a side character in the invincible series, i recently found out but i think you don’t remember him was bc of his character design being completely diff than it did on the movie.
He has his own comic run pre CN movie then got tied into invincible as a supporting character 🤷🏽♂️

I read Tech Jacket some time ago, when I saw how he gets his armor, the first thing I realized, is the posibility that Ben 10 was inspired by him, otherwise idk how the paneles are the exact same (and of course, the fact that both can't remove their respective alien objects)

Yep - you beat me to it. A lot of the superheroes in Invincible are mashups or parodies of Marvel & DC characters, but they're done so well by Image they became their own characters. Tech Jacket is essentially their version of Jaime Reyes with Hal Jordan's origin story.

Funfact: There is a geldarian in season 2 of invincible. Among the council members of coalition of planets, there is a geldarian wearing similar garment as the emperor of geldaria. Could just be an easter egg though. But I hope this means something.

Maybe Amazon will surprise and have Tech Jacket come to help in invincible season 3 and then he’ll get his own show and the first season will be him narrating his backstory and what he’s done before he shows up in invincible and season 2 will pickup from the ending of invincible season 3. He's definitely going to show up in the show in later sessions, he's created by Robert Kirkman too just like Invincible and The Walking Dead. He might show up in season 4, although in the comics he did help out in the upcoming war that will happen in season 3.
Have they confirmed securing the rights to use him? Science Dog was a Kirkman comic as well, but there were apparently rights issues leading to swapping him with Seance Dog.
Seems like a well written character.
