As much as I have enjoyed all of your videos, this one displayed to me that you are more than Professor DM, you're Hero DM. Thanks for getting the word out. Prostrate Cancer is very frightening and hearing of others going through the various medical tests and the like is very encouraging and helpful. Thanks for your honesty and transparency. Enjoy your trip to Ireland. You deserve it.
My father in law has prostate cancer. Unfortunately, he refused to go to the doctor when he started feeling bad. When my wife and brother in law finally got him to the doctor, it was stage 4. He’s just being kept comfortable and getting treatment to slow the spread. It had also spread to other parts of his body. I’m glad you were able to catch it early. Your daughter’s high cholesterol may have saved your life. I’m not sure if you believe in God, but maybe he knew your daughter would be the only way to get you into a doctors office. I know a guy who found out his heart was damaged after he accidentally injured his eye at his work. They had to do surgery to fix his eye, and he also needed a defibrillator. If he wouldn’t have needed the eye surgery, he never would’ve known about his heart. He would have had probably died. Anytime I hear a story like this, I give thanks to God. Luckily I have healthcare through the VA, and they make sure I stay healthy. If I ever get cancer, it will probably get caught pretty early.
That title scared me for a moment. Glad to hear you’re past it. I’m 18, so i’m probably not at risk right now, but i’ll definitely keep this in mind when i’m older. Stay strong man. 🤘🏻

Thanks for using your platform to raise awareness and get "butch" guys to be vulnerable for a second and go get checked out. Cancer sucks! So grateful I live in the UK right now with an NHS, without whom I would have no Father, or Brother for that matter... Don't know how I have dodged it so far at 42 but check up's are essential. I also massively appreciate all your DND content by the way, this video was just one of the closer to home ones, weirdly! Wishing you, not just a full recovery, but a permanent riddance of this scum bucket of a disease ! Much love ;)
Thank you. All my best!
I'm glad you took your daughter's advice and it sounds like you're on the upswing. My father-in-law passed away a few years ago due to esophageal cancer. He was a tough, blue collar guy who never complained and only went to the doctor when he absolutely had to. I often wonder what would've happened had he listened to my wife cajoling him in the years leading up to the diagnosis. He was 59. We miss him dearly.
You're in our prayers, Professor. God bless.
Wishing you the best recovery, Professor DM.
Thank you for beeing vulnerable and talk about a sickness. I know it is not easy.
Please stick around prof you help to make this life worth it!
God bless you, sir. My family will have you in our prayers. 🙏
I really commend you for making this video. And of course wishing you well on recovery!
Big respect for opening up on the issue and raising awareness.
Take care, and have a wonderful gencon.
Much love, PDM. Glad to hear everything seems to be on the going toward the better!
Professor Dungeon Craft, I simply love your content and yes you are an influencer. So thank you for the best content and influence yet - reminding everyone to take care of themselves and look out for your loved ones. From a cancer fighter and survivor myself, I hope all your health rolls are 20’s!
May yours be as well!
I'm so sorry. I hope things go well, Professor.
Dealing with cancer is never easy. I'm glad you listened to your daughter, and I hope you make a full recovery. Wishing you a bright future with much time spent with family and friends, and maybe some more Dungeon Craft videos here and there to boot!
I’m really glad you checked and caught it early! Thanks for urging others to check!
If this video helps save one person, it was worth sharing. Thanks for your support.
I am glad it was diagnosed early, I hope and I pray that we will have you with us for many years!
Thankyou for posting this. My best friend, who introduced me to your channel, passed away a year ago from run away bladder cancer. I'm so glad you're taking care of your body and that you caught it early. Advocacy like yours is meaningful and may well save lives. Thankyou.
Thank you for sharing. Praying for you. My wife is walking through chemotherapy.
My prayers are with you and your wife.
Oh my goodness! Thank you for your transparency. I am praying for 35 more years of life for you!
Wishing you the best PDM
Best of luck. Talking about this kind of thing is so important. Thank you for being honest and open.
You're welcome. If it helps one person, it was worth posting.
Never met you before but glad you are recovering well, Prof DM. Sending hugs.
My uncle had prostate cancer years ago and did a removal then radiation therapy. He had a clear bill of health and it never came back after those treatments. I wish you the best and that your issues with it are all said and done now. Thank you for everything you do for us Professor.
Professor DM, speedy recovery. Dungeoncraft is the best! Thank you for all you do!
I will include your recovery in my prayers.
Happy to hear you caught it early.
Praying for you buddy.
So sorry to hear this happened. I wish you nothing but improved and better health. Thanks for the heads up and reminder.
Hope your therapy resolves this cancer for you and that you are back to normal very soon! Hang in there, Prof.
I'm sorry to hear about this but I'm glad the news ends on the optimistic side. Wishing you well professor.
55y/o bloke here. Thanks so much for having the courage to share this. Hope everything goes well. Thanks for a all the great content.
You're welcome. If it helps one person, it was worth posting. Go get tested!
I wish you a recovery Dungeon craft
I'm so glad your daughter badgered you into getting in for a checkup. I've only followed your channel for a short while, but your passion, intelligence, and love of teaching shine through, and it would be an awful loss to everyone to lose you. Thank you for sharing your story and enjoy your trip to Ireland!
Glad to know things are going well.. thanks for sharing professor, this is the kind of influence we need... enjoy you time with your family, and thank Elizabeth for us😊
Sorry to hear about that, fam. Good to hear they caught it early and was treated well.
Every year my doctor does my blood work and that is part of the routine scan, so great that you are sharing and suggesting this and I am happy that you are healthy now.
What a man! Good on you for listening to your daughter's advice, and even more kudos to you for sharing that advice with us. Thank you sir
Thank you for sharing, Professor. If the comments section is any indication, it's already having an impact. I just had my first exam a few months. It's definitely important. A simple checkup can save your life.
Best wishes on your health journey. We'll all be thinking of you. I'm glad your daughter kicked you in the butt, and I'm glad you followed through on it.
Whaaaaaa?!? 😧 I’m so sorry to hear that, Dan! I’m glad to hear that you’ve been treated successfully though!
Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery.
Thanks!
Glad they were able to catch it early, Professor. Hope that they give you the all clear when the treatment has run its course.
Thank you for speaking so openly about it. Message heard loud and clear. Get well fast, professor!
Thank you for this video. It’s not all fun and games in the gaming community. It’s also about supporting each other through tough times too. In fact it’s through the tough times we need each other and the fun distractions the most. Praying for you, your family and your viewers (including me) for your full recovery.
Wow! Your family was right; your voice certainly helps (I’m 47 and, damn, glad you spoke about this ‘cuz it wasn’t even on the radar. I should talk to my doctor about it). Thanks again and I am glad you appear to be on the mend. Looking forward to your fabulous videos.
@@Mister-Tomate you can probably wait until 50-unless you have a history. An annual blood test will find anything wrong.
Thank you for sharing your story. I lost my dad in 2018 to cancer. It's so important to get checked.
Glad that you're doing better and that your Deathbringer is still working. Wait, that sounded wrong. You know what I mean.
Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery!
Thank you.
Do whatever you need to do and don't worry about the channel. We'll all be here.
I want to say thank you for showing up DaveCON. That was kind of special for me. Keep up and don’t give up.
LOVED DaveCon!
Much love man. You got me into de hobby and I can't thank you enough.
Thank you.
We love you Professor. Sending you all the best thoughts and vibes. I can't articulate how much you mean to our community.
Sounds like you've got family looking out for you and a good team of doctors. I hope you're able to find levity and strength from those around you. We're in your corner, Prof.
A whole heck of a lot to unpack here, Professor... fingers crossed this all works out the way it's supposed to. We're all very glad to hear you caught this so early. Most of us will never get the opportunity to meet you or shake your hand, but thank you for putting this video out and talking about it, especially so frankly.
All the best good Sir, so pleased you’ve been able to tackle this head on!
I started watching your channel four years ago when I got back into D&D and now I wait and watch every Monday. I too got to do the Prostrate Cancer shuff;e early this year with a Biopsy and this month I get an MRI before I see my Oncologist.
Thank you for being open about this. I pray that all has been taken care of and you get back 100% as soon as possible.
You're welcome. If it helps one person, it was worth posting.
I'm sorry to hear you are going through this but very happy you're on the mend. I will keep you in my prayers.
I love your channel. Thank you for everything you've brought to my game table. I wish you a speedy recovery and many more healthy years ❤
My father in law has prostate cancer.
@@navarrjenkins7648 50 seems a long way away. It’s not. BTW-do not drink beer or eat fried food. I just helped you avoid diabetes.peace!
