i am absolutely in love with the way you handle noses for your dolls. they're so unique and beautifully done. they're such a breath of fresh air. you are my favorite doll maker on youtube, everything about your style is just absolutely beautiful and your videos are so soothing and lovely, but the noses make my heart happy every time
its lovely to see you go for a more vulnerable face sculpt of jinx. showing how complex she is makes me happy since she is far from a one dimentinal character. I admire how intentional you are when customizing a doll and I'm glad to see you bless my screen once more!
13:13 iirc it would be called hybrid animation, as both spiderverse/arcane use 3d models with traditional animation and painting techniques. the backgrounds are projected into a 3d space, and the models are painted on with textures. in an interview with one of the animators, they (fortiche specifically) were asked how they get the painted effect in arcane and responded "we paint!"!! it's honestly such an interesting workflow they go through, i love studying their process
oh, same on the millions of AO3 tabs... Otherwise, I am LOVING where your art style has gone and how much you've grown as an artist. This was stunning work, and I really think you've found your niche! EDIT: also wow you're so pretty
It would bring me great joy if Etallen sat down and just did an entire ZBRUSH sculpt for a video- as a 3D artist myself, it’s always fascinating to see how everyone’s work goes through the pipeline to completion. The fact that she even knows more tools than some of the professors at my college it’s absolutely bonkers. She’s very good at sculpting in ZBRUSH and I cannot wait to see more of her work!!! ❤❤❤❤
I will definitely consider doing this if it's something people are interested in. I'm self-taught in everything, so I tend to be self-conscious about how I 3D model, but if it's something others might be interested in seeing more of, I'd definitely give it a go!

I ended up leaving this one for a few days because I Knew that I didn't want to watch it in a fugue state between ten other videos or distracted while drawing, so it took a minute to be in the right mood - and that was the correct choice. Out of every Jinx custom doll that I have seen been made, this is by far my favorite. Your talent is spectacular. I thought Ash from Fantastic Mr. Fox was good, but this is beautiful. It looks exactly like Jinx in the familiar style that we know and love from the show. I love it so much. Jinx is my all-time favorite comfort character, and to see her made into a doll so well makes me beyond happy. Can't wait to see the continuation of this doll.

Seeing you bring Jinx to life is AWESOME! She's one of my favorite characters in Arcane, and probably one of my favorites in media as a whole. Of course with her being complex, I don't readily agree with everything she's done but that's the beauty of her narrative; you understand why she is the way she is because you saw her get shaped into Jinx. S2 definitely gave her one helluva redemption arc and finally gave her some more of her own wants as opposed to her channeling Silco's wants. I adored Jinx's bond with Isha and Sevicka especially, though admittedly Isha isn't the best character. She falls into what you mentioned, being a living plot device. When Isha dies you're not necessarily sad because she's gone, you feel more sad because you know what it'll do to Jinx. Still, I adore their moments and a glimpse at the person Jinx likely wanted to be. Also! Do you follow the concept that Jinx survived at the end? There's been a lot of breakdowns that the pink flash seen at the end is her escaping, and then the blimp flying away at the end is her leaving Piltover. (and another fun fact because I'm obsessed! It was confirmed that Silco is the one who braided Jinx's hair!)

I haven't seen Arcane but I love this doll so far! It's funny how it looks so similar to the original but I can still see your style, particularly in her soft, pouty face :) and the hair always seems like the most difficult part to me, but this was particularly impressive!
This looks amazing! I've recently been making a stop-motion puppet so it's going through similar avenues. I'm going to be trying out a 3D-printed head in my project as well. Was nice to see a bit of your process on that end.

I haven't seen Arcane but I love this doll so far! It's funny how it looks so similar to the original but I can still see your style, particularly in her soft, pouty face :) and the hair always seems like the most difficult part to me, but this was particularly impressive!
