“Simpler times”, that really got me. I used to watch this anime when I just graduated from college and had my first job, but had time to binge watch anime. Now I’m taking care of my old parents with dementia and barely have the time or the mood to watch anime. Just watch these intros in RUclips and remember those simpler times.
AMG was one of my first anime experiences (The old OVAs from the 90s that is), and the series remains one of my favorites. This was pure nostalgia for me!
It's kind of amusing how back in the 90s Keiichi was originally supposed to come off as a loser, yet by today's hyper exaggerated personality standards he's a fairly normal, shy guy.
@@denrimi Bit of a late response but Kei is also a main male character WITHOUT a tragic past or a dysfunctional family. Seems like many shows, the main character is trying to "out sad" the competition.
the bagpipes at the beginning never fail to please me. when i first heard them before the rest of the song I got utter chills! this is a really lovely song and bell's voice is so beautiful.

The film was in his own isolated universe. The film doesn't even match with the Oh My Goddess anime series released in 2005 nor the original 1993 anime.
This opening and season 1 opening really make me reminisce my younger days. This is the first manga I bought around 2005 and watched the anime around 2006-2007. Good old days. Just a very wholesome anime.
oh this anime brings back memories. i was watching this anime in both eng sub & eng dub on the japan channel when cable was super basic & this was one of those animes that may looked echi/harem but its a actually a cool story driven & mild action anime
I love the series this was actually the feel good anime that makes everything a lot more better makes you smile it's about true love it's about facing your feelings and I would love for this to have another series not a reboot but a continuation of the story because this is a really good show heck if one piece can I have 700 episodes this could have at least another series
I truly wish that Funimation would re-release the first two seasons of Oh My Goddess on DVD. It has been over a decade and the only way I can find to own it is to fork over $150 or more online. I really want to own this without breaking the bank!

don't know anime works still owns the rights to it. so long ago haven't check it out. years ago anime works owns the first season then ADV films owned the second season since they went down funimation pick up the rights to it they re release again second season in a complete series I still own original release when it first came out I bought at best buy back in 2009 or 2010 now again in a saves edition. haven't watch in very long time.
It's a very funny and very romantic series that I really like. We can see that they put a lot of heart into it, but there are things that I find very sad. First, the episodes of the 2 seasons (including the 2 bonus episodes ''Fighting Wings'') are not in chronological order and therefore they had to invent, delete and modify many scenes to keep the logic of the story. Secondly, it's a shame that they didn't put all the manga events in the series. I mean they've already done over 50% of the story in just 2 seasons and Velsper hasn't appeared yet. I'm sure they could have done at least 5 seasons easily with the 48 volumes. But other than that, I would say this series is a success. My percentage, compared to the manga, is between 75% and 90% for now. It's really good but I'm sure they can do better. I hope they continue this series or create an even better new one. The very first series of ''Oh! My Goddess'' were adorable but they focused all their efforts ONLY on the romantic side of Belldandy and Keiichi's relationship and of course everything else have paid the price.
I have a challenge for anybody getting into AMG for the first time. Try not to fall in love with Belldandy. I guarantee you will fail by the first episode.

They did do an ending, it was the film. The film spoiled the ending to the manga.

Bagpipes and anime - there's a combination you don't see often. I like it, but it's unusual.
Good Anime! The story is written by a person who got their information about Actual heaven from Hallmark cards but a fun anime all the same.
