We've just renovated our living room (still waiting on coffee, end and dining tables, dining chairs and curtain pole being delivered but builders have been kicked out so that's a plus) and out of our whole house have done the kitchen, upstairs bathroom and living room (with the rest to be done after christmas) and I am SICK of the dust. We had blinds put in today and I cleaned the revevant windows beforehand. They were boggin' (prononounced 'bog in') as we say in Northern Ireland so it seems like tomorrow I'm doing them again.
We've put up one of those railway sleeper mantles and bought a fake (electric) wood burner for the living room, mounting the TV above it and it makes the sofa end of the room so cosy (our living room was 2 separate rooms knocked into 1 by a prior owner so one end is the 'living' end and the other end the 'dining'). We could have knocked through and made a proper fireplace since our house was built in the 30s and we know had a fireplace where we put our new one, but with 2 dogs who like to have WWE matches a log burner or a gas one (which would have to be ran from a gas bottle as we've oil heating) would be too hazardous and the electric one wouldn't be used for heat anyways so its probably even safer than a bioethanol fire. That sort of idea would probably be fairly easy since it would be just a case of mounting the TV and sleeper and plugging in the fake log burner (depending on your socket situation) and you can get fake flues that screw into the wall and fake stone hearths to make it really realistic. Our one is a Dimplex one that just plugs in but you can also get a kind that uses water to somehow create the 'flames' that looks extremly realistic.

I'm considering getting one of those toilet and sinks in one for a new downstairs w/c room, what do you think of it?

Personally I use a small amount of spray and switch to a dry clean cloth when it gets damp with too much spray.
