    Great walk through; We took delivery of a 2022 GD XLS 22mle but we're weekenders and I personally didn't want to jump up from our previous 19ft TT. But Happy Wife, happy life lol just can't see us with anything bigger going forward. Your TT is perfect for our taste if we were full-Time. I live in a large home here in South Florida and when we can get away for a few days in our TT it's liberating to live with less. You have a clean nice setup. The oven is larger then you may think. We can cook an Lasagna for 8 and pizza; it's only you two and maybe once in awhile a couple additional folks you're cooking for. Not design for a Turkey but we fry our turkey anyway lol; OK now my critique; slow down you both have great qualities. You come across rushed as a 30 second commercial. i'm on my Lab-top with Ear buds or on our 23inch LED desk top with headphones on; or watching you on a 70" LED in the family room listening through a nice sound system and you project an Oxy clean commercial OUCH "man" not she. Again you both have great YT capabilities; You will not please everybody. Yet you'll want to attract all ages across the board.
    Yup i'm being real with y'all. But i'm also loyal.

    What truck are you towing with? We are inadequate with an F-150 capable of towing max of 10,200#, but we'd have to wait several years to upgrade trucks. Our 23' Lance tows fine, but as full-timers of 15 years, we are ready for an upgrade. The Lance worked great when we were managing an RV Park in FL & visited the grandbabies twice per year. Now we manage 13 campgrounds in Colorado during the summer and need the office space to print daily reservation changes for our campgrounds and to process all of the fee slips and firewood proceeds. The 2670MK would certainly fill that niche, LOL. David & Sheila

    • @WhereTheyWander22
      @WhereTheyWander22  Год назад +1

      We tow with a Toyota tundra (towing capacity of 10 1/2 thousand pounds). We upgraded the suspension on the truck and also have load leveling airbags. We’ve had no problems and we’ve done over 20,000 miles full-time over the Rockies, Teton Pass, etc. she’s been fine. Would I like a bigger truck? Absolutely! Can we afford it? No lol

      @@WhereTheyWander22 Yeah the biggest issue so far with us has been dealing with headwinds and semis. I just have to deal with the GVWR configuration I have and at some point find a 2500 when times get better, LOL. Cheers! Dave & Sheila

    To address your comment that the cupboard doors above the desk all opening to the right: I noticed that all three cupboard doors next to the microwave open to the left. They look too be the same size. If so, you can remove the far right door next to the microwave and swap it with the far left door above the desk. That style of hinge should only have one screw into the frame so after swapping them you should only have two small holes in the frame. The end result should be right/left opening doors both above the desk and next to the microwave.

      @@WhereTheyWander22 Ah, it was hard to tell the size difference in the video. They looked to be the same width, I hadn't thought there might be a height difference. Still, it wouldn't be that hard to remount the hinges on the other side of the cabinet door, probably easier than some of the other modifications you've done.

    Great idea for ordering the rig with the table and chairs for easy remodel….with our 3 dogs we would need an extra bedding area…possibly to put in a Jack knife love seat tho for humans and/or canines….I’ve seen other vlogs tho regarding the weight restrictions of the slides so need to be mindful of that….wonder if you could replace the desk tho…I don’t know if we would utilize it

    • @WhereTheyWander22

      We always knew we were going to remove the table and chairs and man are they heavy! Definitely need to be aware of what everything weighs 😂. They do the same rig with rear living which doesn’t have the office. We need it so it’s perfect for us. Thanks for watching and welcome to the channel.

    Could you please provide some information on your tow vehicle's towing and payload capacities? We are on the fence about the 2600RB vs. the 2670MK (preferred) but the latter may be too taxing for our current half-ton truck. Also what hitch system are you using? Lastly, do you have any real world weights of this trailer now that you have it "equipped" with your personal effects?

    • @WhereTheyWander22
      @WhereTheyWander22  2 года назад +1

      We tow with a Toyota tundra half ton truck 2WD. However, we upgraded our shocks to blistine monotube gas shocks. Also, we out of the TRD front un sway bars. Finally, we have Firestone load leveling airbags at the rear.
      We have a husky weight distribution hitch. Which works very well. The company that installed ball hitch recommended it and we’ve had no issues.
      Sadly, we do not have any real world weights. We have yet to hit a cat scale. However, we have had absolutely no issues towing with our truck and we try to keep the weight of our goods inside the rig to a minimum.

    • @garyp3008
      @garyp3008 2 года назад +1

      @@WhereTheyWander22 For comparison, would you happen to know what the GCWR and payload capacity is on your truck? In my case, I'm not worried about the ponies under the hood and the other driveline components, but more so about weight capacities and the safety aspect of towing the 2670 which will outweigh the truck.
      Are you traveling long distances or fairly local?

    • @WhereTheyWander22
      @WhereTheyWander22  2 года назад

      No dealer will sell you a rig that your truck can’t tow. Our Toyota tundra is rated to tow 10,100 pounds. So far, we’ve traveled over 8,000 miles since April 1. We’re touring the entire country; mountains, freeways, back roads you name it.

    • @garyp3008
      @garyp3008 2 года назад +1

      @@WhereTheyWander22 Thanks again! Your Tundra has a tow rating that is 500 lbs. more than my Silverado (so not a HUGE difference). Glad to hear you are enjoying the many sights and adventures our country has to offer. But I'm afraid there may be some dealers out there who aren't overly concerned about max'ing out a tow vehicle. We've been to (4) different dealers exploring various RV brands. Not one of them has gotten into the particulars about what we would be towing with. That isn't to say that that may not come up at some point, but I would think it would be a topic to be discussed in detail fairly early on when considering a towable purchase. While my truck has a payload rating of 1500 lbs. and a GCWR of 15,000 lbs., I think I am right on the cusp of being overweight with a 2670MK (and the 2600MB isn't much less - about 1,000 lbs). More investigation to do for sure! Take care!

    Noticed that you are towing your 2670mk with a Tundra. How is the Tundra towing this trailer? We have been looking at this model because it has a lot of options to offer. Thanks for the tour. Also notice that you have one AC unit. Is that enough for size of trailer?

    • @WhereTheyWander22
      @WhereTheyWander22  2 года назад +2

      We’ve had no issues whatsoever. We did upgrade the suspension to TRD front and rear anti sway bars and monotube gas Bilstein shocks. We also have a Husky weight distribution hitch. The reason we went with our TT and not a 5th wheel (which we really wanted)? We’d just bought our Tundra 😂. We’d love to see photos of your new trailer. Also, don’t miss the solar install video tomorrow.
      As for the AC unit, we’ve had three other units prior to the Grand Design and only ever had one. The upgraded fan in the bedroom acts as a whole house fan which we’ve had in our sticks and bricks for 20 years. Good luck. We love our Imagine 😊
