I love to make my own backgrounds out of scratch and your channel is basically a go-to since I never studied Photoshop. But with your videos, it feels like I am actually being taught at a graphic school! The way u explain makes it easier than other videos that make it seem complicated. Your methods are easy to remember. You are so underrated! I hope your channel grows more and be known! Even your overall aesthetic is so soothing! ♥️ Thank you so much for the tutorials! ♥️♥️✨✨
Thank you so much, I adore this comment! I try very hard to make sure to not make things too complicated. The important thing is to learn the basics and get into the fancy stuff later, that’s what keeps us motivated to keep learning. Thanks again, Via!
@@PrettyWebzMedia I too hope your channel will grow. Your tutorials are so valuable! I get surprised when I look at your videos and see nobody hit LIKE button!
I wish I could do this in illustrator. I have both, but i like illustrator better. I'm glad I also found your page as I am getting more into the digital availability than the printed or made side of the business.
I’m glad you found me!! I do focus on digital media but there are ways to do metallic brushes in Illustrator. It’s not as versatile as Photoshop but image brushes can get really close to the mixer brush effect.
@@PrettyWebzMedia they are both very overwhelming as I am just a hobby/crafter and i'm like I WANT TO KNOW IT ALL. The texture that you pull your rose gold from is there a video where I can find that?
Hello, Thank You for the tutorial. I may be doing something wrong, but when I load the sample to the mixer brush, it's only giving me a solid color as opposed to the blended colors you're getting. Do you know why that might be?
Hello I have a question. Hopefully you or someone can answer. I know PS has many brushes but I noticed not all can be used as a mixer brush. Is there some setting I need to change to make this happen? Here is what happens when I go to the mixer brush settings and attempt to select other brushes - the instant I select a brush the top menu reverts back to a regular brush menu with only opacity and flow. Other brushes allow the menu to stay the same. I’m pulling my hair trying to fix this issue so I can have the freedom to choose any brush and use as a mixer brush. Thank you and love your tutorials.
Most of the Kyle brushes are set up with specific tools (I.e. brush, mixer, smudge, etc.) so they can only be used with that specific tool. If there is an icon in the upper right corner of the brush preview the brush can only be used with that tool. Photoshop defaults should not be specific like this, you may have to reinstall them.
Make sure mixer brush is selected as your tool. To add a pattern to the mixer brush reservoir open the jpg image you want to sample from, hold the alt/option key on your keyboard and click on the part of the image you want to use as “paint” then go back to your working canvas, the part of the image you selected will still be loaded.
So, the mixer brush is like a virtual paintbrush you "dip" the brush into the color/gradient/texture that you want to paint by holding down the Alt/Option key while clicking on your sample this will load the brush with the sample.
Thank you for all of your work. It is beautiful.
Thank you for your tutorials, I’m finally getting somewhere and could not have done it without all of you amazing you tube educators.

With which application you do this brush strokes?
Hello,
Thank You for the tutorial. I may be doing something wrong, but when I load the sample to the mixer brush, it's only giving me a solid color as opposed to the blended colors you're getting. Do you know why that might be?
In the top menu where you preview your patterns click on the drop-down menu and uncheck “load solid colors only”

Really stupid newbie question, but I am really struggling to load the papers into the patterns presets, what am I doing wrong ???

Which brush your use to select background and paint can i get the link?
I have a basic paint kit here: prettywebz.com/product/gold-paint-photoshop-kit/
Amazing tutorial. I need to try this one, and thank you for all thouse free goodies 🤩
So sad. I have elements and thus no mixer brush.
How do you change the brush color to the gold foil one?
So, the mixer brush is like a virtual paintbrush you "dip" the brush into the color/gradient/texture that you want to paint by holding down the Alt/Option key while clicking on your sample this will load the brush with the sample.
