I've got a fire tablet lol. Can attest that mobile (android) drawing apps actually run perfectly well on it, the app store just won't install them. Krita for tablet unfortunately lags with large canvas sizes and the animation workspace doesn't quite leave enough room to draw due to the puny screen, but otherwise it works just fine.
@@wolfygirl303 I mainly use ibispaint x and medibang, but I also have Krita and flipaclip. I draw on my phone as well, and have the same apps minus Krita and plus autodesk sketchbook and pixel studio. I do use apks, especially on the tablet.
I used to use flipaclip and refused to move. When I went to Ibispaint x it actually got better and I never left since. Also the PC version gives you more limited time then the app to use it in a day I think

I never use pc for art but seeing this I got shocked a bit bc ibis doesn't lag with me and was my best art apps that I used for 5 years or more before switching to infinity painter. Actually infinity painter is the best for a paid app as a nearly like procreate app :D
I love your styles so much! I really want to learn how you do the style for your profile picture for your account. I would really love it if maybe you did a video on how you do that because I want to learn how to draw, and I think that style would be a good place for me to start.
I can only assume that the PC version was never properly optimized since Ibis is mostly focused on mobile devices. I absolutely love the app - it is simple and has all the basic stuff you need to paint. I do use an Android tablet, so there is that. I think, for PC, programs like CSP probably would be more appropriate. There is a high chance that the person on dc was messing with you xD
I'm a Clip Studio Paint person, but I previously used Krita which is honestly really good. I tried a bunch of other stuff... IbisPaint, FireAlpaca, etc... but I didn't like any of them. I used to really like Adobe but it has just gotten so damn expensive I couldn't justify the cost anymore.
@@TRINHPXL Piracy is how Adobe justifies their prices. According to their figures, for every Adobe product they sell, four of them get installed. So they charged five times as much for their software. That's why in the days of $60-$80 paint programs, Photoshop cost $400. Meanwhile, thirty years later, you can STILL get Clip Studio Paint for $60 and it wasn't even a thing in the '90s. Also, if it's okay for artists to steal software, it's okay for engineers to steal art. You stole what you couldn't make, they stole what they couldn't make, now they have a garbage-farting machine that makes shitty art just like yours. It's not morally correct, it's actively destructive and y'all need to stop it. There is no excuse for stealing the $500 software when the free software is very nearly as good. "But it's the industry standard!" In the 3D world, Blender is becoming the industry standard, because everybody stopped stealing Maia and 3DSMax and used the open source alternative instead. We can CHANGE the industry standard. We ARE the industry.
been a ibis my entire life (well other then those 3 years were i was a little freak and drew on flip a clip 😭) never tried the PC version of ibis paint , but I can imagine it would suck a little bit since ibis is originally a mobile app id say the best part of ibis paint are the hundreds of filters which can really make your art pop or as I like to describe it "crunchy" (Cough, the anime filter , Cough) so the best mindset to use ibis paint is the "fuck it we ball" because theres so many little things everywhere which can make the art process so fun , also the custom brushes ,,, sure it's not customizable like procreate- but there's a lot you can do with them,,, and tbh best part of ibis paint is when someone asks "oh how do you make your art" and I get to look them dead in the eye and say with my thumb and ibis 😸
Ibis helped me so much with developing my art style and it’s forever a OG for me, started with my finger and now I have a tablet but I’m still using the app🙂↕️❤️✨
I'm surprised you had so many issues. I've been using the pc version of ibis for a couple years now and the app version before. I don't think I've ever seen it lag like that. I tried to use a couple other programs when I switched over to pc, but ultimately took a $40 one-off payment over trying to learn a whole new program. I am sorry your experience wasn't better tho. It really is a nice program and easier to use than the other one's I tried briefly.
If you have time in future do you think youll try other drawing apps or make a video on what apps you currently use and why? Or maybe try non digital mediums like himi gouache or inks? Or would they not work with yuur style (Also i love your videos and artstyle, it helped me get into digital art. Its alwaya nice to see what you create )
4:09 on PC it will be 1 hour and I have experienced that but on iPad or phone etc it gives you unlimited time. And I’ve had this app for maybe 5-6 years? It’s really good even without premium
I originally used procreate but the limited layers drove me crazy. Switched to photoshop and clip studio but the setups were too overwhelming. I started using IbisPaint and actually like it. It has unlimited layers and its setup is simple. Similar to procreate. I have a few issues with it but generally like it.
ibis paint is how i started drawing digitally. ibis+my mom too-many-years-old ipad=best combo 😂 i think it's a great drawing app for a beginner! knowing how to use it helped me a lot when i was gifted a wacom tablet and jumped on clip studio
Me when I draw with mouse: 😋 Me also internally screaming:🙂🙃 (Also if you go into your Ibispaint local file on PC and modify the session file to read-only, everytime you enter and close the app the timer resets)
Ngl im just here to see which brushes did you use 😅 You're right, the falcon pencil is super good for lineart! I need to explore the default brushes lol
I personally don't know about the PC version, but I've been using the android version for 6 years now and I haven't looked back. It's kinda frustrating that larger size canvases make it lag a lot (at least on my tablet it does), but other than that the brushes and the filters and especially the vector layer are a lifesaver
Finally I have found a fellow tabletsmen I swear everyone I either know or who I have seen online is an ipadian but I have now found you and I now know I am not alone in this world. Also what app do you normally use?
Hey blue i have just somthing to tell, i am fallowing your tutorials for a long while now and it feels comfy when i draw a bit like you is it bad that my style looks a little similar to yours???
Hey blue, I genuinely want to ask why do you draw and what is your motive behind it? Do you plan to make an impact to the art community or anything else that you to do for the art community and what is your passion for the art you do like what are you trying to accomplish when you make art is it a feeling or something personal you experienced
I use ibispaint! I am indeed a finger drawing artist :) I feel like there should be some discord for your channel so we could all post our art-- maybe there could even be an "ibis" section 😭 I would totally post! (My pfp was made with ibis alongside nearly any other non-traditional art I've made)
Regarding what you said at the end of the vid, please do a tut on how you rendered in ibis! It’s my main program so it’d be helpful to see your progress.
They’re still developing PC ver. of ibis. Don’t think company ever tried to develop pc programs. But on mobile, it’s a long standing free analog of Procreate
I love Ibispaint because of the autosave feature, like where i live the energy tends to fall in windy days so it saved me a lot of my sanity. Also the timelapse function I think thats the only reasons i insist on using it tbh.
It's a great program, and I don't use it much either because I like using one program. I only use it when I need it (like to fix lines and for effects). Plus, I don't use a tablet so I mostly draw on paper and make my art look digital. It's hard to draw art with a tiny phone. The nice thing about ibis paint is that it's free. I use all the free features but I wish I could use the pay-for features without paying for it too. The PC version looks like it sucks... the mobile version seems much better
Im an Ibis paint main and i use it 9n my Ipad so ive never experienced any lag 😂 ive tried using apps like procreate or medibang but i just love ibis so much

@@tinyshinyfeathers what art apps do you use on it? do you download apks too?
@@wolfygirl303 I mainly use ibispaint x and medibang, but I also have Krita and flipaclip. I draw on my phone as well, and have the same apps minus Krita and plus autodesk sketchbook and pixel studio. I do use apks, especially on the tablet.
I used to use flipaclip and refused to move. When I went to Ibispaint x it actually got better and I never left since.
Also the PC version gives you more limited time then the app to use it in a day I think
the best shading on ibispaint i couldve ever seen, wanted to crunch ur artpeice so bad
Im an ibis paint main for multiple years!!! I love the app its just so simple. Ive tried artbook? Idk if it called that but its a free version of procreate and even my two brain cells couldnt understand anything..
but using the pc version its just so dumb tbh like 1 hour a day??? I take at least from 50 - 1 hour 25+ mins to make a completed peice (looking at that time i use it doesnt look so long wth..)
Used to be a mouse drawer, yeah im now a lame proud finger drawer ♥️♥️♥️🇺🇸🇺🇸💥💥🗿🦅🦅🦅🗿⁉️‼️‼️‼️‼️
I honestly love this app, I also love the animation feature on it
Well, at least you’ve tried ibis paint. Not every painting program is going to work for everyone. Nice drawing btw 💕love the rendering!!
As a person who use ibis paint, I really love you use it❤❤❤❤❤❤
That was kinda funny XD. I was an Ibis paint mobile user, even a finger artist for a good while before having my other phone that has a pen O_o.
I used this program for a long time, but I think I prefer Procreate a thousand times over. AMAZING video Blue! We love you ♡
I'm a Clip Studio Paint person, but I previously used Krita which is honestly really good. I tried a bunch of other stuff... IbisPaint, FireAlpaca, etc... but I didn't like any of them. I used to really like Adobe but it has just gotten so damn expensive I couldn't justify the cost anymore.
always morally correct to pirate adobe products just saying---
@@TRINHPXL Piracy is how Adobe justifies their prices.
Yes I’ve been waiting happy Halloween blue.👻🍬
Me who draw with a mouse : 🙂
I beg your finest pardon, a MOUSE?
You have serious dedication and talent oh my gosh-
I've tried it when my pem tablet stops working and honsetly I'm more used to using my finger. You have so much of my respect it is not easy 😭
i use the macbook trackpad so mood LOL
i love drawing with mouse ALMOST as much as i love using a pen. touch is like.. eeehh.. *e h*
OMGOMGOMG MY LOVE FOR I IBSPSINT AND BLU CORSSOVER
Your art is sickk 😭😭🙏 drop the brushes u used pookie mwah !!
been a ibis my entire life (well other then those 3 years were i was a little freak and drew on flip a clip 😭)
never tried the PC version of ibis paint , but I can imagine it would suck a little bit since ibis is originally a mobile app
id say the best part of ibis paint are the hundreds of filters which can really make your art pop or as I like to describe it "crunchy" (Cough, the anime filter , Cough)
so the best mindset to use ibis paint is the "fuck it we ball" because theres so many little things everywhere which can make the art process so fun , also the custom brushes ,,, sure it's not customizable like procreate- but there's a lot you can do with them,,,
and tbh
best part of ibis paint is when someone asks "oh how do you make your art" and I get to look them dead in the eye and say with my thumb and ibis 😸
It’s really good even without premium
did u just- in...IN COMPUTER, OR LAPTOP?!!!!!!! HOW?!!! THIS IS CRAZY!!😶😶
Ur a great person. I acknowledge that 😄😄😍😍
As a finger artist I’m typing this with three fingers bandaged 😂(we aren’t going to talking about it🙃)
I originally used procreate but the limited layers drove me crazy.
Mad respect for drawing through the lag
Been watching your content for around 2 years.
I've genuinely never heard you recite anything with so much disdain, ever.
Me when I draw with mouse: 😋
Me also internally screaming:🙂🙃
(Also if you go into your Ibispaint local file on PC and modify the session file to read-only, everytime you enter and close the app the timer resets)
O-M-G blue biscuitsss 😻😻😻😻😻
bro new bluebiscuts video praise now!!!
As an Ibispaint main, I can understand your pain. But it's silly so I use it anyways
It’s probably lagging bc of the size of canvas size it’s recommended to do it as 2000-2500:D
I have been using Ibispaint for 3 years and I love it.
I only use ibis and I love seeing more people try it out
I use ibispaint!
Also the timelapse function
I think thats the only reasons i insist on using it tbh.
I should really try digital art just so I can relate to the struggles 😂
From all that suffering you still make a master piece
YOUR ART IS SUPER NICE AND CUTEE❤ (also, are you Czech by any chance? 😅)
Im an Ibis paint main and i use it 9n my Ipad so ive never experienced any lag 😂 ive tried using apps like procreate or medibang but i just love ibis so much
🤍 Ibis is my main bc i don’t have money for a subscription based and I kinda hate Procreate, lol. That said, I use my ipad and apple pencil, which works amazingly!
Anyway, beautiful piece, and I would LOVE it if you did a coloring tut for ibis!!
Ive been using ibis since i started drawing on my phone, 3 years later i have a drawing tablet now and i still use ibis !!
Y'all say u draw w ur pointer finger.....Me with my thumb..
I've been using ibis paint for soo longgggg so this is exciting for me
10:31 rip cat
when i first started making digital art i used to draw on ibis paint, with my bare fingers, on a laggy tablet
fun times
as a person to broke to afford an ipad but fortunate enough to buy a Wacom intuos i was just as disappointed you when i realized that the pc version still needs work before its usable. I want my pressure sensitivity and i want it now!! 😭
