Awesome, i do have to object to the odd coloured bricks, only as its something like a cathedral, as general principle its a sound technique, but when its a location people would hold in reverence i think it needs to be more strategic. Selecting bricks closer to ground or eaves and just following the spectrum or your paint up to a lighter shade just to show less weathering or discolouration is probably the way to go. Im just trying to interject extra detail as its a tutorial video, hopefully it helps someone.
Never been much in the terrain making kind of mind. Beyond my skill level but I've been looking into making my own terrain and generally enjoying it. Working on a set of simple brick walls and a battered house for an old haunted farm.

Nice one! A neat little tip to get some more variety in stone textures is the old sponging technique, going back and forth with darker and lighter greys and some spot colours.
Uh, oh. Hector has had trouble with that sea chest before. Will this be the Halloween when we experience the terror of one of Hector's undeserved enemies? Someone such as ... Slow Poke Rodriguez?!?! Oh, the calamity! The woe and/or Dread!.
Where is that Final Fantasy 9 figure from!?! Drawing a blank on the name of the character since I'd always change them to something silly😂 but would love to find all those characters as it's one of my favorite final fantasy games!
Hey Dave, great video. I'm about to head off to Japan for my honeymoon in a couple weeks and I was wondering if there was one place in particular that you would recommend for hobby stuff? I know you got a awesome looking stuck of stuff and was hoping to do something similar, if a little scaled down.
Hi mate! Congratulations! Best hobby shops I found were on the Akihabara strip, but I bought most stuff from Hard Off, Hobby Off and Madarake. Those guys have shops here there and everywhere! Have fun!
We love a "window thing"
No better invention than the window thing to look through wall things. Unbeaten.
Windows are the windows to the soul
I can't believe I've never thought of using polystyrene plates!? Great build!
Cheers babs! Yeah, I got desperate one day and just took a punt. Totally acceptable materials
Pretty awesome piece, my man. Very cool 👍🏻
You know shits going down when the zip lock Morrisons freezer bag comes out!
I like it quick, easy, and cheap
Poundland plates 👍 noted. Lots of brick etching, so much quicker than 1cm X 0.5cm bricks. (Never again lol)
Great work Dave.
... I had never thought of those poundland plates. Shame on me. Thanks for the tip.
Foam bricks is always the way ... you just can't beat the look of individual bricks!
Fully agreed!
@@MSPaints Hey up fella, I sent you a cheeky message on Insta
Hell yeah was just looking for something like this

Aye aye for the price you can’t fault them. I just wish they made them flat!

Definitely gives the old Eye or Terror ruined Cathedral that Abby/Azzy would stand in, beautiful work! This is impressive
Simple and cheap. Two words you wouldn’t want to be described as yourself, but perfectly describe this great terrain. 😂

The window 'thing' is called a tracery :)

Ah Saturdaymorning cartoons for 35 year olds :) Nice work Dave!
Those turned out awesome😁👍🏻
Does anyone know where I could get this window thing? I have no clue how to search for this thing online...
Uh oh, supernatural shenanigans again, that poor frog
"Cockblock technique" for slapchop got me good 😂
I’m running out of wordplays for it already!
I bought the same glue gun, we're glue gun buds
that styrene plate tip is fucking Choice! nice budget tip
Noice!!
Oi ya Chief Wankster.... great build

Is that some Yakuza music I hear?
Weird build, in real life the window would be pretty much the first thing to go? It certainly wouldn't be pristine. Where did the stained glass go?
I dunno where it went, man. Let me know when you’ve made a superior version and I’ll take a look.
@MSPaints It just looks weird. You take criticism badly.
