So I have only played Spider Man 2 (dumb choice i know) and I really enjoyed it, and i have been thinking about getting the ultimate edition of this game for $70, which includes this and the original spider man. Would you say it is worth it or should I wait for when it is on sale (which will be a long time)
Tbh it's kinda rough going back to the first game after playing Spider-Man 2. The swinging is much slower, you have less abilities during combat, most boss fights aren't as good, and the goddamn MJ sections. Spider-Man 2 really spoils you as a player
Great review, man. Miles Morales is easily my favorite game of the insomniac series. The art direction feels unique and intentional with the snow and decoration, and the story does a great job of making Miles feel like he's out of his depths and is a true underdog. Adding the venom powers was just enough of a combat shakeup for the system to feel fresh and new, and the tricks/animations for swinging really helped bring some character to the game. Would 100% recommend to anyone even slightly interested in checking it out.
