Hi Amber, so sorry about the cold. It’s cold here in Chicago. I use a hot water bottle under my bed covers and it helps with my cold feet. I don’t know if that would help you with sleep at night.

We were in Grapevine n Aug. 31 when the Ice storm started. We had to get back to Houston for work. Left at 8:30am the roads were fairly empty. The road was frozen and you could only determine if you were in a lane when you went under a bridge. Very scary. We drove very slowly and were fortunate to not have any issues.
Super excited you were safe and sound at the coast. In Austin, today is raining but at least the ice is over and done with, well for now. HEAD OVER to Round Rock for some of our donuts. Near downtown

Brrrrr, I hate being cold! I'm glad that the Houston area didn't get the freeze, ice, power outages & all that. Whew! I was in CC in December, went to Padre, didn't even park. The beach was too shallow, sand too deep. Moved onto Port Aransas. Much better! Yep, I get the solar thing. After 4 nights on the beach, no sun, I was forced to Mustang Island SP, which is a nice park & affordable! Had power! It's good to GTG with friends 😊👍 I'm thinking of buying land outside of San Antonio.
Up here in the Midwest - we get plenty of Snow.... & are Thankful - not much full ICE storms.... That would be so Scary to be Sliding all over the Street..... Especially in the RV Van.... Stay Safe.... & Warm....

My mom and stepdad live in Harlingen. Their retirement resort is on the other side of Business 83, a tiny bit down the road from that Bass Pro shop and Cracker Barrel. It seems like a relatively safe city. Hope you enjoy the gulf coast, Amber!

Great video. Being an Aussie I forgot Texas has the ocean aswell. You always think Texas oil cowboy movies, desert. It seems to have everything. I love your friends RV the wall paper looks like proper tiles. She has done well. I bought myself step ladder im only 5.2ft. I really hope you feel better soon. You may need a few appointments with a physiotherapist, nice soak in a spa would be great. How do you go driving with pot plants or are they stuck down?

I live in Dallas. How did I escape the ice storm? I stayed in my warm house that didn't lose electricity and gas. I didn't drive Tuesday and Wednesday until finally Thursday PM when I drove my daughter to work. Thanks!

I do travel full time, in a snow bird sort of fashion. I’ll spend the summers and falls in VT with my family. ❤️
