    I, as a brit who has never left england, found it odd when you said it was different from the US and thought it was the same as the UK just different ages and stuff

    Congratulations, young lady, very well done indeed! It speaks volumes about you that you organised and funded all this entirely by yourself.
    This will prove to be a massive plus on your future CV (sorry, resume). I hope you will always have fond memories of England. Good wishes
    to you for your future, which will, I do not doubt, be very bright...…………………………………….the ancient Englishman.

    Hi Liv! This is a lovely video. Did you go through study abroad UK’s programmes? They linked your video as a student and I just wanted to check that they were a legit programme.

      Thank you!1 Yes I went through their program so I can vouch for them! I'm not affiliated with them in any way other than being a former student, I think they just use the video for informational purposes but yes they are legit :) Best of luck!!

    Can you do a full year in another country without your grades suffering? I want to go to Germany, but I'm not yet fluent.

      a lot of times the teachers are lenient with exchange students as they know you don’t understand the language completely and you’ll also be put into a language class for german !

    That was awesome, so you said you had to pay 200 pounds as deposit, how much did the whole programme of studying a semester cost you? And how long is a semester in England?

    • @livabroad9205
      @livabroad9205  5 лет назад +1

      Hi! When I went abroad in 2017 my program was about 3,750 GBP, which included the 500 pound deposit, but it might have changed since then. I went for the fall semester, so September to December just before Christmas. There was also an option to stay over the holidays, to January, which my host sister did or you can go for the winter semester which I believe is January to May or June. Or the full year, of course! Hope that helps!

    why dose everyone just go for a few months or a semester...nobody talks about going on exchange for n entire year like i am going to do

    • @livabroad9205

      From my experience, most people stayed longer. I couldn't because I was graduating and needed to be home in the spring. From what I've heard, pretty much the same experience but twice as long--so you can be with friends longer or attend end of the school year events.
