So many haters and idiots think that music isn't important in movies like these or any others. Who begs to differ? The music in this movie was absolutely amazing and At World's End will always be the best and my favorite POTC movie.
It gives me goosebumps..All the POTC movies and music are amazing..When you here it,you just want go to the sea and never come back, fight for something..You want to become a free soul. That's what these movies and Hans Zimmer's music give to me.
This soundtrack, and especially this song was the soundtrack to my Master's degree! Just graduated on Sunday and as I was submitting my final paper this evening, I put in my POTC CD for the last send-off. Thanks Hans for creating such an epic song that made my studies easier and seemingly so important. I will always have fond memories whenever I hear this played.
Hans Zimmer really outdid himself on this one. Just f-ing epic (there's probably kid's reading this.) I try to call myself a songwriter but I couldn't, in a hundred years, come up with something this brilliant.
So epic... and what made it even more epic was a Lancia commercial that I got before, with the "Carillon" song to "Fora few dollars more" by Ennio Morricone.
press play and go away...close your eyes, listien, watch and feel what is inside of you, go along with this, listien to your soul where you heading, feel the power which is inside you and pushing you to do new things every new day in your life, now think when you was on your knees, feel down..and now get up, open your eyes, feel what you able of and do it! there is one more thing, we cant do much alone, but together we can do everything.
at 1:22 the music starts to rise little bit more, then lowers again. 3:08 the action begins ^_^ I love when the music box plays. It becomes the sweet and emotional part.
yeahhh i agreeeits powerful in that part but it gets that powerful because all the song like leads u to that... the initial like groth of the sound and the suspence feeling...... it is amazing
So do I now that I've had time to realize that they actually do use many different melodies... but I see your point about Barbossa's music. I'm quite surprised at Hans, actually! :)
@Re2baLz it's the scene, where they "drive" (with the ship) through the ice into the gate to the end of the wordl ;) it's my favorite scene, cause the music is so great there!! =) i hope you know, wich scene i mean!
I don't find it annoying, but I do wish he had made a more original soundtrack for the 4th movie, since the other three had pretty different pieces, for the most part. Like I noticed Barbossa's music from the first film in the scene with Black Beard, and I wished he had created something new (like how Davy Jones had that awesome locket/organ music). But I know major themes are usually sent through sequels. I actually love The Lord of the Rings soundtrack. I can't wait to hear The Hobbit!
Often movie composers will use themes (for characters, places, etc.) and use them throughout a series- for example, you can hear Darth Vader's theme, or a version of it, many times throughout the Star Wars prequel trilogy to indicate times when Anakin Skywalker is growing closer to turning to the Dark Side and becoming Darth Vader. (And if you think this is annoying, try listening to the Lord of the Rings soundtrack... practically the same melody the whole trilogy!!! But I digress...)
is it just me, or do parts of this piece seem similar to "Mermaids" in Stranger Tides? i feel like he used a lot of tunes from the first three films in the fourth one... or maybe i'm crazy?
The Pirates of the Caribbean movies would have been pretty good without Hans Zimmer, but its definitely his music that cemented them as some of my favorites. (Also, this recording is pretty bad, kind thin and way too much high frequency.)
so powerful..so majestic...and yet so soutfull...so calm...
i love it. Hans is a music genius

love this OST, but why does this upload sound like it was recording a record player with an old flip phone? this track deserves a higher bitrate.

Please don't use adblock for youtube.

3:07? Please. I had a heart attack at 0:01
@PUN1SH3R95 lol will do =]
studies find that music is processed by the same part of the brain as other "pleasure".
The Pirates of the Caribbean movies would have been pretty good without Hans Zimmer, but its definitely his music that cemented them as some of my favorites. (Also, this recording is pretty bad, kind thin and way too much high frequency.)
Anyone notice the mermaids music from Stranger tides?
I came here for 3:08
... 3:08 Eargasm
Because it stops the creator of the video from earning.
I guess that the music of Hans are better in Pirates of the Carribean !
