I am still undecided about the half-size walls. They are useful for handling and keeping an overview. But with lots of dungeon terrain (mostly Zealot, Mantic, other bits and pieces) I am not sure if it would break the immersion if all the book shelves and the like stuck out...
That's a good point. Using a dark mat or cloth underneath would help I think.

The Pathfinder set looks awesome, the dwarf ones good because half walls are good to have, I already have the previous dwarf mine, & waiting on my D&L 3.
The set has some really nice details on the walls. Should be fun to use in different games.

Frankly, I've never understood nor used minis for DnD. The whole point is to make a story with your friends, and a board is so limiting.
But this does look pretty cool for skirmish games. And, like another person said, Space Hulk.
Just my few cents: I consider Pen and Paper RPGs and Tabletop RPGs as two different genres of games.
The first one is exactly as how you describe it and indeed the focus then is on the storytelling and less on the actual fighting. I've been DMing quite a few Vampire: Dark Ages campaigns in the past and sometimes we would hardly roll for fails and successes and instead it all of it depended on how well a player could roleplay the situation and how much sense it would make. In this type of games a board really doesn't help out.
The second one is more about a band of fighters fighting through a huge dungeon. Here the fighting takes precedence and the roleplaying is more limited. In many ways this form of roleplaying is much closer to a wargame and then it makes a lot of sense.
I think that if you look at 'RP' a bit wider then mini's and gameboards can make a lot of sense. That being said, I do prefer PnP RPGs. If I want to play a wargame I will do exactly that (though I have been pondering about building a sort of RP around the Warcry rules/stats... in fact I should look on the internet, most likely someone figured this out loooong time ago hehe)
i can def see that, and i agree. But i think for some people (myself included) it is nice to have the choice of ways to play. It not necessary for pen and paper rpgs like DnD, but it is cool to have visual aids on the table. I find that it helps kids and neurodivergent people have a little more fun, at least in my experience.

@@tabletopskirmishgames like some people in the comments have said. I prefer DnD left to the theatre of the mind. But I really like the idea of warcry or sigmar battles leading into these dungeons. I've some plans myself things along those lines

This would work nicely with the He-Man terrain when painted too.

This has the problem that all of this kind of dungeon terrains have: for the money, it has waaaay to little amount of stuff in the box.
