I noticed that a lot of people are hating on this guys video. Honestly, this is what life is about. It's about enjoying the little things, exploring, and fueling the inner child in all of us. If he chooses to do this with his time then that is his own fucking choice. What difference does it make to your life that he chooses his time exploring? It doesn't, so maybe you're just upset that you aren't so easily satisfied with the simple things in life.
I know right this looks so fun im jealous
I agree aswell, I recently bought binoculars, like wtf haha but keeping the kid inside alive lol
Fuck yeah
***** The ones that use their free time talking shit to people over the internet.
They're Just Jealous Cause They Never Found Wheat Pennies In Their Entire Life.....
I just had to pause this at 6:19 for a minute to write this comment, first off, you are completely adorable, your father must be so proud of you!! Im so impressed with your sense of value for these amazing artifacts! Most teens wouldn't think twice or care about the value & importance of things like this!! Congratulations on such a treasure trove! Im certain your destined for even greater finds in time to come!! You have totally intrigued my interest back for finding these wonderful things!! Your parents are without a doubt so very proud of you! I wish you the best of everything in life & I really hope to see many more of your treasure hunting videos!! What a gem you are as well!! Take care!
Lannie Wise - Your comments are right on target. I agree with you....nuggetnoggin is an amazing person. I'm always proud to see younger people out and about exploring God's creations. And finding treasures is just a gift from above.
How adorable is that Confederate flag on his shovel
@@ChrisCrossingWires1212 are you implying there is something wrong with having a confederate flag on his shovel?
You took the words right out of my mouth! What a terrific young man!
Brady Alderin, the confederate flag is the flag that represents the confederate states of America. It was created in 1861 around the time that Abraham Lincoln was trying to end slavery. The confederate states rebelled against ending slavery. So basically this flag is wrong, and racist because it’s discriminating against a race. I don’t see why people use confederate flags anymore as it is not okay to. And look, I don’t wanna get into an argument. I was just explaining this.
I'm in my 70's now and have been detecting since I was 25, way back when we used BFO's, (Beat Frequency Oscillation). One could not discriminate with this type of detector so we had to dig every signal, pulltabs were a bitch in those days. Nuggetnoggon here reminds me of my turf scratching days of dirty fingers, poison ivy, cuts, and insect bites, but most of all the thrill of the hunt. I could write a good sized book about my finds and places I've hunted from Canada, Cape Cod down to Florida and Texas. This hobby is good clean fun where you can meet life long friends, plus the exercise and fresh air is good for you. Don't get me wrong, I didn't get to all those places because I had lots of money, my job took me there and in any spare time this hobby helped me to relax. I just bought my great grandson his first Bounty Hunter Jr. to get him started and you should have seen his face when he found his first penny in his yard down about 3 in's, a wheaty by the way. So all you haters or so called trolls, don't hate get out in the fresh air. You won't get rich with this hobby, buy you will have a heck of a lot of fun.
When my cousins and I were young, my grandparents had a farm, but by the time we came along they had leased out all of the fields to a local sod farming company. Each spring the company would come and till up the soil and some of my fondest memories would be of my grandparents taking us back to the site of an old house that had burned down about 100 years before and we'd go 'treasure hunting'. Each year when the soil was tilled, we would find pieces of broken plates and buttons and all kinds of things that most of the people on here would call 'junk', but it was treasure to us. We've still got tin containers full of our finds. Just like everything in life, it's all about what you make of it. I bet you had a lot of fun that day, and you found some really neat things. Don't let some of these folks get you down... until they find their own 'treasure', they'll never fully understand how the fun of discovering a little bits of the past can feel so rewarding. Happy hunting!
Exactly
100%
Sounds like fucking junk.
Beautifully Said Melissa! I have shared in those joys before too!
Why cant more kids be like this, all i ever hear them say is "im bored, theres nothing to do" give this guy a shovel and somewhere to dig and he's happier then all hell.
Jonathan Lascelles Man, I wish I could do this, but the historical areas near me are "government protected."
Not gonna lie my generation is kind of terrible
He’s a great kid and I like his coin hunting instincts.
@@glarder yeah same thing whenever I go anywhere
@@thatsalotofsodiumcoins1615 You're right that there are some bad ones but there are many wonderful ones, too. I'm a mid60's lady and I know you aren't all bad.
Love the fact that he's out doing something he seems really passionate about and not sitting in front of a computer like most young folks these days! Very refreshing and I love his accent!

that indian point is really nice,i live in St. Augustine Florida and find Native pots and points a lot, makes my heart soar to hold something that was made so long ago.some of my pots probably haven't been touche by hands in 3000 years or more, the pottery shards with finger prints are my very favorite, gives me a personal connection with a man or woman that lived so very long ago, great feeling.
I have found lots of Indian pottery near the wekiva river area, a really great place to find cool artifacts especially along the river side.
Its an Arrow head
+BigBlue_ Ox seems to be a spear head.great find though
I live in St. Augustine too! Love it here. Haven't found anything myself, but since I live south of The Shores it isn't very likely that I will. I hear there are constantly things being found by people who live downtown though.
I'm still a kid but I've lived in St. Augustine most of my life and I have to say the little beach town I grew up in is gone. Being the oldest city in America it makes most of it's money off of tourism and the small town has been overpopulated. I used to live a block from the beach and it only used to take me 10 minutes to get downtown, now it takes me 40 minutes. The beauty of the city and the Nights of Lights was my favorite but now you just cant see through the crowds.
This kid is great. He's outside enjoying himself. He is not on the computer playing games. He might be wasting his time but he is young and it's his time to waste. The people who are critical of him are just jealous of his joy.
totally agree. he is doing something he enjoys and that's all that matters
I only disagree with the ''wasting time'' statement. I don't think time is wasted if you're doing something you enjoy. May be wasted time to you but to another it's the way the WANT to spend it :P
I enjoy your videos kid, your Dad brought you up well. Your appreciation for long lost quality made artifacts and bring them back to modern day life so we can reobserve how our Grandfathers and Great great Grandfathers used to do things brings me at least, sweet memorys back to the present. Thankyou and thankyou too Abby for supporting him! Keep it up!!
Noggin,
Enjoy your videos and appreciate your descriptions and especially the fact that you speak without profanity.
You're one of a kind young man. Keep it up !
I saw a coin at about two o'clock on 2:24. By the way, your young and you won't have a problem for awhile, but you should at least wear a mask while digging these old houses. Rat, mice and other rodents dropping are very noxious. Be careful, it will catch up to you later, I know from first hand experience as a contractor remodeling many old places.
good advice!
I saw the coin too!
+David Swiger I was cringing when he was digging in the dirt with his bare hands. Especially with the broken bottle he found too! Please, make certain to take care of yourself when you do these digs!
+Freeze Adjust Me three!
ya
Just wanted to say that you are a breath of fresh air compared to other young folks, who can't hear or see because they're tuned into fiction/fighting video games. Your dig on the "old schoolhouse" caught me up in your excitement so I searched for more of your videos. Since then I have liked and subscribed to your channel, and look forward to seeing more. Please..... don't even respond to the nay-sayers! You'd be wasting your time on those FEW people. It's likely that they don't understand what having a hobby is, and they're kids are probably sitting in the background playing those time-wasting videos.
Your enthusiasm is addictive. Great honey hole! Happy hunting and keep the videos coming. The people that make negative comments are just jealous or don't have any sense of adventure beyond sitting at their desk 24x7 watching RUclips videos. We need more people like you! Keep up the fun and excitement and can't wait for your next video!
That little Scottie dog looks like a Monopoly game piece from the 1930s. Great finds!
Aloha from the tropical island of Oahu . I just want to truly to thank you for the true fun in your voice as you and your Dad spend time together in a good time! where many people realy do, not know there Dad or there son, May God bless you and the may your wrods bless others ! Enjoy your digs Mahalo and Aloha.
Wow dude! You are so smart, you really know a lot and you're good at this! Such dedication to doing this, I like it! Keep it up, I hope you find many more cool things in the future!
Very nice finds, bro! Don't let em give ya shit. Country boys will survive! :)
Here I am Nugget, July 2018, and I'm still in awe of your wonderful enthusiasm and genuine interest in a Time now gone, but not forgotten - and what a special quality that was and is! I hope you ignore the nay-sayers! Hope there are still places remaining like this for you to discover and share with us. :)
A musket ball and an indian arrowhead dug out from the same spot: American history 101 right there. For me that's the coolest find. Kid, keep doing what you're doing because is way better than hanging in a parking lot with 5 morons, sipping beer, farting and burping. Thumbs up, kid!
Ditto. My old computer took a crap some time ago, I had one of His digs under an old school where He found an old pencil whittled "sharpened" to about one inch long by some poor kid. I may find it again.
Hey Nugget, just wanted to say I enjoy watching all your videos. It is nice to see and hear how happy you sound when you find something. Even all those fisher sinkers. Don't listen to all those mean hateful and people and there negative comments. It just shows they are miserable people. Keep those videos coming. And God bless you young man ! ;o)
your enthusiasm and love of the old stuff is just so wonderful to watch. Keep on doing it, keep up your love of old history.
Evidently you're excited, and I think it's exciting as well. That's really some great finds. Hobby or employment, you're obviously enjoying yourself, so keep it up, have fun.
Back in the 70s, me and a friend of mine were in an abandoned wrecking yard of old cars dating from the 60s on back into the 30s. Looking at a rusted thru quarter panel on a 50s car, I noticed some coins. Opened the deck lid and began scooping along that inner panel and found a hoard of wheatback pennies. About 1000 in total. We split the find and after all this time, I still have those pennies in my ole collection.
That's sick.
BILL GOAT either you're stupid, or joking.
+BILL GOAT THATS 100 dollars
Adrian Ramirez Actually about 10 dollars, think through the math... and BILL GOAT is somewhat close to correct, much more close than you.
Original PvP actually depending on the years, wheat pennies can be worth more then standard pennies
This is probably my favorite All-Time video from the NUG MAN. Nobody better than Michael "Nugget noggin" Bennett. This is legendary!

@@nuggetnoggin I believe I speak for tens of thousands. You're far and away much more entertaining and desirable to watch than aquachigger.
Omg!? I'm addicted to watching your adventures!!! ... And a touch jealous ;) What. Wonderful person you are & so friendly & obviously LOVE your hobby. I love it. What's interesting is everyone has there own OMG look at that moment on different finds .. Like I was loving the coins and such but the buttons!!! And the little Scottie dog piece & the arrow head & other stuff took my attention. I was just thinking about what I like not value though. Anyway. So glad to have found your channel.. I've a lot to catch up on :) Stay safe, and keep on keeping on ;)
Thanks for posting these videos. I find them quite interesting. I'm not able to go on adventures myself, so you provide a valuable service for folks like me.
why do people come on here and hate? this guy is obviously having a really good time. he's enjoying life.
That's good to see . A regular teen digging out there instead of lying at home playing video games and getting fat. Keep it up, that's the way to go.
I'm not fat and I work out daily, you must be talking about the other irregular teens that play video games...
True. Most teens don't want to do nothing but play video games . I mean 13-14 year olds. That do not get interested in anything but video games and are just plain lazy.
mrdan24 like fuck all of you
fir3star12 I hit a nerve or what ?
yea i play vide games am i fat no i play them all day and dont work out all i do are pushups
Wow! A normal kid, i didn't think there were any of ya'll left.
Dear nuggetnoggin, I hope you read this . I have to let you know how much i appreciate how you present your video's. I appreciate that you take the time to show each piece, you have a steady hand and a decent camera. One may call you an "amature" but you/re really a Professional Amature. Thank You,Great Video's...Littlefeet keep at it ?...have fun digging !
you sound so excited..... lolol is so refreshing. I love it when people find some thing that strikes there interest.
Throughout this, all I kept thinking about was every time somebody accidentally dropped one of these items and it bounced away into the crack. You figure some of those coins were a much more painful loss at the time for the value they would have had then.
So true
Captain Southbird killing dreams for this adventure hunter stop it
Around here the most plentiful things found in those places are pissed off copperheads. May even be lucky enough to have a rattlesnake find your hand.
Hey nuggetnoggin, I just wanted to say great job on all of your videos and thank you for being a wholesome guy with great values. I’ve found interest in detecting by watching your videos. God bless brother! Keep up the great work!
First second I saw the elephant, I said, "Jade." This was a very good haul! Glad to see that you had so much fun doing what you love. I made a big coin haul in the mountains of east Tennessee in 2013, I know how you felt finding that stuff. Best wishes.
LOVE your enthusiasm! Great finds.
Really enjoy your posts!! Our house was built in 1855, in the heart of the "California Mother Lode". Only 4 families have occupied the home since it was built (ours being the 4th!!). Lordy May, the great stuff we have found! Everyday is Christmas!

hey nuggetnoggin, I remember being really into coin collecting when I was younger and watching this video when I was in 5th grade. I'd bet you that the green "glass" elephant is not glass but possibly Jade!
Check it out and let me know Bro....
My bad....
Guess I shoulda watched the whole video first....O_O
It looks like a 'Netski'. An oriental "tag" that is attached to a chord belt on traditional Japanese and Chinese clothing. They weren't often made in the dark coloured jade, so if it is in fact a traditional, original piece then it would be quite a find.
Thank you for sharing your hobby with us. I really enjoy experiencing your adventures. Please continue to post them.
Ignore the haters. You are awesome and I love that you are interested in old coins and artifacts. Keep at it. :-)

Mahendra Patel thx you can increase yours too by playing first person shooters
I would say this young man is from the South. He's digging up the past and enjoying his freedom to do so! Thanks for the video's!
I think it's pretty cool man.
any advice on how to clean old coins?
i think if you put them in vinegar it will clean them
Don't.
Cleaning should be done by an expert, if at all, to maintain the value of an antique coin.
Yeah right
No ketchup works
1st rule? don't clean coins that you actually care about. Cleaning a coin DESTROYS its value and brings it directly to face value. But if you don't care, using ketchup or vinegar works.
I’m rewatching all these videos again I watched them all as a kid and now I’m back almost 20 years old love to see that your still uploading keep up the good work brotha love your videos

Bye Chris.
That Native American arrow head is worth$$$$$$$$
Anyone else see that coin at 2:23 that he missed? *EDIT* Nevermind someone already said this.
thank you for bringing us on the journey with you! it is so much fun! reminds me when i was younger and we would go into the woods and we must have found some old house sites. we had so much fun digging up treasures.
PLEASE keep detailed record of your finds. I am an Archaeologist and I will gladly help you figure out mapping. Draw a scale diagram of the house, mark the 4 directions, grid out the house and lable every square like a cartesian grid. Start in the Southwest corner and dig. A good provenience would be thus: In the southwest corner of the southwest corner, of unit 1A (Transect 1 Unit A), 2.5 cm below datum (the level you deem the ground) 1 small pencil nub, 2 clay marbles...) . Draw in the find and bag it. When you are done you have an AWESOME map of every little find. This allows you to determine everything you ever wanted to know and even some things you don't. It is possible to figure out where the teacher sat, where lunch was eaten, where there was a hole in a floor board, even how long the school operated! If the collection changes hands it carries the provenience with it and is more than a pretty thing that got dug up somewhere in Ohio for example. Just a few minutes with a compass, measuring tape, string and line level will make you feel professional. If you make it that far I will show you how to find the exact coordinates of the property you dug.
Was the elephant jade ? It looked it, but you said glass.
Nice finds, I was wondering what do you do with everything you find? Do you collect them or sell them?
Coin in dirt at 2:24
I think that the elephant is made from jade not glass

All these people against the confederate flag, and don't even kno what it represents...
Replying to Hitler. If you know anything about the civil war. Lincoln said if he could end the war and not release a single slave he would. Lincoln is not the man your public schools teach. The war was all about control and power of the US government and the south to keep states rights. Lincoln was a warmonger and power tripper.
Represents slavery and racism
+MrEWhite No.
It was slavery.
Just one of many reasons, but Lincoln had his own agenda of becoming a dictator. He didn't care about slavery. He cared about control. My previous post states what Lincoln said about slavery. If he could keep control of the south and end the war not a single slave would he free. Don't let TV control you. Reading about the past will change your perspective on things.
***** Lol. Do you even live in the South.
Google says However the Confederate flag(s) are all relics from a time when Southern States seceded and started a war that killed thousands of people. The war was over slavery. And we can't remove the history of slavery and institutional racism from that flag. After all it was a battle flag used by the side who fought for slavery.
I saw a confederate flag 😃
I wish I could be out there digging in the dirt with you. I've collected old bottles since I was really young. Those are awesome coins you found. I don't understand why, I was as excited as you were! perfect video capture & length.
For everyone reacting emotionally to this boy's "rebel flag," I offer a short history lesson. Like it or not, the Confederate battle flag is a military standard that is an integral part of this nation's history. It does not represent hatred, but the southern states' lawful rebellion against federal tyranny, the government run amok which was trying to enforce unlawful, unconstitutional edicts upon the south outside of its jurisdiction. The Confederate battle flag symbolically represents the south not only executing the laws of the states and protecting states' rights, but also suppressing insurrection and repelling the invasion of an out-of-control government engaging in treason against the Constitution for the United States of America and its lawful Amendments thereto.
people freak out way too much about the confederate flag...
Its an American vetran flag. Someone fought and died for that flag. Respect that At least.
I've wanted a metal detector for most of my long life.....I'm putting it #1 on my birthday list this year. you've inspired me!!! Lordy, you sound like you're having so much fun! treasure hunting!
he he....the first slave sold off the first ship was sold to a black man, not to mention sold in africa from a black colony, history is "awesome", just manipulated by individuals to endorse their own agenda. the acceptance of the truth shall set you free, not the blind ignorance inwhich you choose to cling.
Black man says slavery wasn't so bad #2

Yeah, judging by how the media is always pumping out fake stories making it seem like all whites owned slaves and beat them and raped them and killed them every day, all the time, for no reason. Seems like someone is trying to use the "divide and conquer": strategy to pit one side against the other, so they can rule us all.
In reality, most whites did not own slaves. The average price for a slave was the same as a house, about $300,000.00 in today's money.
And for the tiny number of whites who did own slaves, no one is going to harm or beat someone worth $300,000,.00. In fact, they could work a poor white to death, but don't work your slave to death or else you lose $300,000.00. In fact, you would feed your slave very well and provide him with the best medical care and good housing. Not so for poor whites who were basically worthless.
If I lived in the 1700s and owned ten slaves, those are my $3 million in assets, so I don't want you harming them or touching them or even mocking on them, lest you get them in a bad mood so they don't work so well. I want them well fed, with great health care. I would want him happy and healthy working in the daytime, and being happy with the nice ladies at night, singing and dancing. And I would want them to live a long time.
The media has been promoting a hoax for the past 30 yrs on American TV with fake stories abo9ut slaves always being beaten and killed for no reason. The fake stories are apparently designed to stop blacks and whites from teaming up to overthrow the globalist banker's rule over the US.
They and especially indians were treated horrible, only 25% of whites had slaves.
Rockguitarnow no you're completely wrong, slaves were about $2000 at the most expensive, $50,000 in today's term but money was easier to come by and retain, and yes obviously people would beat someone worth $300,000 if they did it, there's no way you could possibly believe slavery wasn't one of the worst things in humanity, you're just denying and avoiding the truth because it makes you feel better to believe lies. Get your facts right and accept history or it repeats itself... because if might be vice versa this time around. ✌
Rockguitarnow and just to add on slavery started in the 1840s and no 3 million dollars worth of slaves tended 25 million dollars worth of land and crops
did anyone see the Confederate flag on his shovel
Me
Oh my God!? Does he not have the freedom to put a flag on his metal detector?
+JohnQRandom I like how when someone brought up the confederate flag you immediately thought of white men killing black men hahahaha
Yes

I feel like you'd get more subs if you didn't have confederate flag sticker or whatever on ur metal detector.
he lives in the south.
your prob one of them people who think the confederate flag is racist lmao should do a history lesson and see that Lincoln did not start or fight the civil war over slavery it was over money like all wars
+Brandon I don't have a problem with it, but yeah it is racist because it symbolizes the confederate states which broke apart because of slavery.
I went to Robert E. Lee High School in the 1980s. My memory of the rebel flag has nothing to do with racism. Our arch rival was Winston Churchill and their flag was a black version of the Union Jack. It was quite a sight at football games seeing our flags across from theirs.
smirkingdevil 👍 flags can't be racist only people can be
You might be right about the buttons at 07:00. They do look like vintage USN peacoat buttons. Today, ours have large plastic anchor buttons, but those old brass ones are from probably before the middle of the century.
You're a christian? WHY IS THE CONFEDERATE FLAG ON YOUR METAL DETECTOR!!!!
First off,it was on his shovel, second, what does him being a Christian have to do with him having a confederate flag?
Ok Smartass, usually Christians wouldn't have a confederate flag on something.
+Luke Natale Perhaps because normal people doesnt care at all about what the stuff really stand for. They just have it because its a neat thing.
+Luke Natale LAWL! Christians dont like the confederate flag????? Most people who fly the confederate flag are Christians, are you just finding this out now? Why do you care anyway, he can fly whatever flag he wants, this is America. People like you want to take away his right to do so. BTW that is not the confederate flag, that is the rebel flag. This the the confederate flag en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flags_of_the_Confederate_States_of_America#/media/File:Flag_of_the_Confederate_States_of_America_(1861-1863).svg
