    another way is to hit it flatter back in defense situation.

    • @Fundamentalsoftennis
      @Fundamentalsoftennis  4 года назад +1

      Do you mean hitting flatter will land deeper because there is NO SPIN pulling the ball down?? Please let me know.
      To your tennis success,
      Tom

      @@Fundamentalsoftennis yes. especially when you are in a defense situation and get pulled to left and right corners when you have some court length to work with i usually do the full follow through and kind like a flat deflect back the ball. that is if the ball is coming to you with decent speed and the right height. i mean you can go nadal style and go moonball deep and spin but it will be slower back...

    Target the zone 3 area..
    Not very close to the base line. On, how high do you hit? Depending on where you are .. if you are in zone 4 .. Try 4 ft. above the net to land in zone 3 ...( your intended landing area..)

  • @tr1ckster726
    @tr1ckster726 4 года назад +1

    What about if your problem is the opposite... Meaning you can't seem to get the ball to land IN the court even when trying to hit topspin?

    I live in San Antonio where the wind sometimes becomes a factor. Should I still follow this advice even if the wind is pushing the ball from behind me or is it better on those days to just aim for the service line and not take the chance of a gust blowing the ball long thus giving my opponent an advantage.

    • @Fundamentalsoftennis

      Sounds like a plan... I like the fact you're becoming an independent player and thinking out there.

    keeping the ball deep with this racket speed that you have showed is not difficult for me , How about fast balls (almost 3 times faster than the balls you hit in this video) which could not be basically that high above the net , what is the solution ?

    • @Fundamentalsoftennis
      @Fundamentalsoftennis  3 года назад +2

      Bottom line is this: if you're hitting the ball super fast you'll obviously have to lower your window... or your shots will go long... your job, is to figure out how high do I need to clear the net with my fast shots, and still keep the ball deep AND IN THE COURT.

      Tom
