This alone proves that Star Wars music won't be dead when John Williams is no longer with us.
I can imagine a Hannah Montana-like theme for Kylo Ren though ha ha ha. (I actually like Kylo Ren's character, but I have to admit all the jokes about him make me laugh a lot)
Indeed.
Defiantly
ChrisIsONLINE, Amen to that.
Great, now I started hearing "Hannah Montana" in the lyrics while listening and reading your comment...
That first minute is probably the best song in the game.
Jack Griffin yep
nope, last minute the best
Yes, listen to the first minute, then skip to 5:00. So good!

This song single handedly made balmorra my favorite planet. And has anyone noticed balmorra seems a bit like halo.
Yeah the athmosphere of the planet with all the grasslands and rocky areas feels like Halo 1 to me. My favourite area was the Republic Defense Line on the Imperial side, the whole area felt like you where in the middle of a war.
Frondor Baggins This song and the atmosphere of the planet is why I loved this place so much.
Also, it was nice after the boredom of Dromund Kass.
Theres another really nice place in the bottom right of the Sundari Flatlands that has a really pretty beach.
i started with Imp characters and loved balmorra, would consistently play through the planetary story
then i tried Pubside, and Taris was sooooo blannnnd for something that was supposed to be nostalgic
therefore, I only got a Sentinel and a Scoundrel to 50 (and beyond)
I remember when my first char walked out of the Sobrik airport, it looked so epic with this playing in the background.
+Rilius7 That's it! Every time I go on Balmorra I enjoy the loading screen of this planet(same for Alderaan).
+Rilius7 Lol same here, this is the best song i've heard so far in the game... when i first went to balmorra, i too felt the epicness xD
Wait. I think that I saw your character in balmorra yesterday. I am your biggest fan, just wanted to mention it. I whispered to you but you did'nt anserw, I asked you to join my guild, but you denied. Why :'(

I remember every time I use to enter balmorra I heard this and I felt like a really badass Sith Lord
Meanwhile me as a Jedi 👁️👄👁️
@@orsonlepherd7064 I think this song symbolizes the Balmorran Resistance and Republic hold-outs on the planet. At least to me. I get stubborn and defiant vibes from this track. Not an unstoppable Imperial Army. Long live Balmorra, long live the Galactic Republic and Jedi Order! 😉
@@90skidcultist The jedi will crumble before the might of the sith
@@90skidcultist damn i don't think zurgo's coming back from that one. he'll be rethinking his life as a sith now lmao
@@lieutenantlunar7234 So, he turned himself in to the Jedi😐. His former master still has access to his account though. Be warned.
It took a lot of effort to persuade the Republic to spare him. This Inquisitor was literally forced into his role, like most Sith. He is also a former slave & and Carthar. As you know, nonhumans, those not related to the Human & Sith species, & non-Sith Purebloods have it… rough. To say the least. But, I heard things are actually getting better there for them. By Sith standards, anyway. Shame it took a Civil War for this to happen for them. And they still have a lot of work to do.
He’s been broken for quite some time. If he wasn’t Force sensitive, he wouldn’t still been in servitude to some Evil Sith Lady/Lord at some estate on Dromund Kaas. He never told us their name or family. There are infamous Sith, Imperials, sometimes their House/families, that we wish to add war crimes to. So, they can be tried (fairly of course) after we win the war😉.
Anyway, we’re in process of helping him help himself. Spiritually, mentally, & physically. He’s been somewhat stubborn & highly sarcastic, but cooperative nonetheless. He is also free to live whenever he wants. However, we can’t protect him from the Republic’s wrath. We also had to cut him off from the Force. Sadly, this was one of the agreements between us, him, & the Republic. Due to his many crimes, this was pretty much a slap on the wrist. I also would like to say that he’s become a highly productive member of society & our Order☺️! He’s a good friend to many🤗, & is rather funny. Even if his humor is a bit… DARK🫤.
Even after a decade this is still my favorite SWTOR tune.
The track kicks off perfectly. You arrive at your first world after Dromund Kaas as a young Sith bristling with just enough power and free from your master's watch, a skilled Hunter fresh onto the Great Hunt, or a Cunning ambitious Agent with your classified mission. You have cut your teeth on the home world and you are ready to let this world of canyons and factories feel your power.
also works well on the rep side as this is the first time the republic strike team gets thier hands into total war. youre the knight of the republic ready to put an end to the sith empire, a Consular securing peace and prosperity for this forsaken planet, a trooper here to thwart any dreams of imperial victory and a smuggler here to systemically dismantle the dreams of a voidwolf.
5:00 when you walk into the balmoral arms factory main opening as republic. Gives me chills every time I go in there with the republic knowing you're on the verge of finally liberating the planet
and then dismantling the damned weapon knowing how many sacrifices have been made to secure it... because it'd kill this planet if we fire it

This is by far my favourite part of the entire game's soundtrack. Rivals the best original SW pieces too.
Played this for a solo in my band, or at least the intro horn. Was great.
+Rowan Turner (Sin) I want music for that and all the other less ambient parts for my trumpet so bad!
Whoever composed, played, sang this - I love you. You bring the greatest joy into my life.
Best Soundtrack in the whole game! The beginning is epic

Lawful Morning My favourite thing about the planet is the fact that you’ve got artillery fire and firefights all over the place so it feels like an actual war zone.

definately agree, eve if it reminds me a bit of the Star trek rebooted theme :P
@@dasocko7882 YO I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING
Considering the brilliance of this piece of music I feel it should be bigger, heard by more people. It should not be lost.
Have to agree with everyone here, it's too bad I missed Balmorra on my first playthrough because this music is fantastic. Gives a vibe very similar to the new Star Trek theme "Enterprising Young Men".
The only thing I dislike about the piece is how it starts off so dramatically and throughout it becomes more and more slow; would have loved an even more intense moment than the start for a good climax. Nonetheless, one of the best orchestral pieces I've ever heard.
I know your comment is old, but the music slows down because its supposted to be a background music. Its epic and all, but in the end of the day it should not distract the player.
I'm sorry, what? Balmorra is a key planet in the story. How do you miss it? It's Also the 2nd (not counting prelude) planet you go to as an imperial player
The beginning of this theme is SO epic it's wonderful
i bet it will sounds great live in some theatre with good architectural acoustic
A big church with an orchestra and choir... I'd loooove to be in such a place in particular to when they get to the part at the 5:00 mark
Epic first minute and deep last minute
My favorite SWTOR track. I love the vocals and the horn heavy arrangement... We shall bring the Republic to its knees..
Balmorra, the war-torn planet!!! Whenever I was on Balmorra, it felt as if I was actually in a war!!! Great music!!!
I want more than anything the nice version of this that plays on Odessen
5:01 sounds like the soundtrack of the film "Hunt for Red October"
It's a beauty of a track.👍
thats because the captain of the Red October was a Darth of the dakeside known as Darth Oktober apprentise to Darth Stalinus the Magnificent

I use to have those problems too coming up. Especially since the Star Wars EU awakened my love of reading. In elementary school, while everyone else was struggling to read picture books I was read the NJO series and any source book I could get my hands on. Heck one of my best friends since first grade and I met while in the school library looking for Star Wars books. Long story short don't let the haters bring you down miss.

I guess your mum didn't see it in the 70s in the cinema then, if she had then she would have been a fan, I can still remember the hype from 40 years ago.
can still remember my mum telling me that I couldn't get a Darth Vader lightsaber from this store in town, cause they were too expensive.
I remember jamming to this theme every time it came on. Perfect blend of sinister and epic for DS characters coming to a war-torn planet.
I totally cannot stop hearing the new Star Trek theme in this.
1st minute and 5th minute are the most epic of any SW tune - almost tear inspiring. Sore about minutes 2-5 where it runs off the rails somewhat. When you start with a tune that good at the start you can almost work it in some variation the whole way through like what Mozart did with his shit. Really hope the first and fifth minute get reincarnated into a new tune by the composers which pulls more on the main theme the whole way through. Also, side point; what is so epic about Balmorra to warrant such an awesome intro and finish? Isn't it just like a major weapons production planet allied to Pub which both sides want in the arsenal to stem the tide of the war? But don't the Imps already have the tech to win, i.e., Leviathan, the Harrower-class dreadnought (Silencer); they're just not manufacturing the quantities? Not expecting Balmorra to have unparalleled production line efficiencies on their tech compared to existing Imp / Pub prod lines.
You've probably long since found them but if you haven't they started using parts of this theme for their Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion. The trailer in particular, but it's kind of also weaved into the core Outlander theme.
Pura Masculinidade irmão.
I know this post is old AF but i will answer anyways :D
"Sore about minutes 2-5 where it runs off the rails somewhat."
Thats because this tune is supposed to be a background after the first minute.
Its perfect for that role as its epic when you arrive to the planet then it quiet down so you can concentrate to the game.
"Also, side point; what is so epic about Balmorra to warrant such an awesome intro and finish? Isn't it just like a major weapons production planet allied to Pub which both sides want in the arsenal to stem the tide of the war?"
You answered your own question. Balmorra is an important manufacture of weapons, ammunition and, mainly, advanced battle droids. Having complete control of the planet would be a huge advantage for either side.
Balmorra is also settled planet so whoever controls it controls territory alongside most advanced and fastest made battle droids, weapons, credits, territory and tech come as a bonus.
korriban, dromund kaas, balmorra (imperial). i wish they made the planets larger
these are my favorite planets from the game, and they have an epic soundtrack. the other planets are just.. meh
while taris is my favorite planet from kotor 1 and 2, on the other hand in tor taris is a dump, plague city
My favorite planet is korriban but Balmorra has the best theme
because Malak bombed it in kotor lol what did you expect to happen in the future from kotor ? what do you expect to get when someone bombs an entire planet ?

I think they are so good because they are small and you spend more time doing stuff than travelling
I think you are mixing up Telos and Taris here, it's not the same planet
This song is just so epic!
5:01 is the best part. So much emotions. The tragedy of war.
This is honestly one of the best main themes in all of Star Wars. Sure, John Williams' The Force, A New Hope and the Imperal March are undoubtedly THE best, but this is very, very close.
I love this song!!
this song was always badass, the starting pieces are epic.
This is literally one of the best male vocal lead tracks from the game .... The string arrangement is one of the most aggressive from the game.
