I was so hyped to see this movie that I ended up going into the wrong theater instead of the one next to it, lol. After sitting for awhile, waiting for the previews, I looked around and saw all these women coming in. I said, whoa . . . this is too many women for a john Wick film and sure enough, I was in the Fifty Shades movie!!!! Anyway, made it to the right theater in time to see the best movie ever, can't wait to see the next one.

But fortunately some women came and asked for my seat which i said belonged to me, when we compared the tickets we noticed i went in the wrong hall, i dont know which movie they're were gonna watch but they were ALOT of women, so wouldn't suprise me if it was fifty shades of gray.. lol.
What gave the action even more punch is the entire first half of the film was build up with barely any action at all. Lots of world building and character motivations. Then when shit hits the fan... it's some of the craziest shit I've seen this side of Mad Max: Fury Road. Fucking hell man. Insane. THE PENCIL SCENE THO.
This movie was so damn GOOD, I honesty thought this wouldn't be nearly as good as the original. Thankfully I was proven wrong a thousand times over, this was so damn brutal I jumped more than a few times. I can't wait for the inevitable sequel, which they can totally do with how this films ends. 9.5/10.
Another thing that was awesome about the Wick movies is that they don't go overboard with shakycam! Lots of mid-range shots that let you see all of the action. These fight scenes had real choreography--they weren't just assembled in the editing room.
It's great action film but let's not compare it to Raid 2. Raid 2 not only was a great action movie but a well written drama as well. It was Godfather meets John Wick. Raid was a crime epic and is one of the most innovative action films of all time. Not only that, John Wick 2 cost 10x more than The Raid 2. The Raid 2 was a cinematic accomplishment. Iko Uwais is a legit martial artist so he did all of his stunts and the stunts relied a lot less on guns and a lot more on the physicality of everyone in the movie. John Wick 2 was fun but it's not The Raid 1 or 2, let's be real here.

It's believable because they used actual fighting styles, including in the gunplay. I don't know if they still do, but Academi, (aka Blackwater), used to train very similar techniques in their pistol craft: two to the chest, one to the hip, one to the head. Pistol rounds aren't reliable man-stoppers, and headshots are hard to make when your target is moving, so you stun them, shatter the hip if needed, then take out the CNS. Wick doesn't take headshots just for cinematics, it's because there have been cases of people eating half a dozen .45 slugs and still fighting. There have been multiple cases of people surviving 20+ rounds of pistol ammo, so a shot to the brain usually prevents modern medicine from bringing a threat back, even if he's incapacitated.
