Facts!! I used to sing this during my HS years. And I have to sing it again for my conductor's memorial. This has always been one of my favorite songs to sing.
One of my favorite choral passages and I too have done. Joseph Flummerfeld conducted our choir at Berkshire Choral in Sheffield MA many years ago. Look forward to their concerts and will be there supporting likely with tears and applause. NaN Mann.
If this was recorded in January 2019, this would have been two months before Dr. Flummerfelt death in early March of 2019. He was the pre-eminent American choral conductor of his generation and perhaps the one that inherited the torch from the late Robert Shaw who died on January 25, 1999. America has been honored with two great conductors in Joe Flummerfelt and Robert Shaw.
You are so correct! Learned this glorious song in high school over 54 years ago and it still sings in my heart and mind. So glad I chose to listen to this performance today and read your comment.
Anyone who's ever sung this knows it's forever imprinted in memory. Grateful to God for music and Brahms

Beautiful! I have been fortunate to have performed this with various choirs through the years. One of the most uplifting pieces of music ever.
Kudos to the accompanist as well as the conductor and choir. Beautiful performance.

"Quão amáveis são os teus tabernáculos"...
This is wonderful. God bless you all.
Thank you so much!
@@TaylorFestivalChoir What a wonderful rendition of this lovely piece. I especially like the long lines and connections between phrases and sections.
