I've been a Mom and Pop campground owner for the last 35 years and have known and talked to many campground owners over the years and the stories are all pretty much the same no matter where your campground is. We've all experienced the same trials and tribulations in building our campgrounds. Ours is currently listed for sale and I'm looking forward to being able to have a normal summer.
@@d.w.3511 Not a bad gig as long as you don't mind working long hours, weekends and Holidays during the spring, summer and fall. 24/7 for 7 months. You're off on all the winter Holidays and hunting season which I prefer.
I wonder why the son did not want to continue. Too much BS, I am guessing, he just did not want to be on call ?? If you live there and are open all year, you are the care taker, always on call, right ?

Do you find that you absolutely need at least 1 person available for your guests at all times?? AKA when do you take time off?
