Wow. From my memories as a boy scrambling up to the summit of Lochnagar on more than one occasion as I grew up down the valley of Royal Deeside through that boulder field I never thought in those days I would be sitting watching fifty years later a) a computer b) RUclips and c) guys on Mountain Bikes (although we did try to modify our bikes for off road trails but closer to the gravel bikes of today) descending that stunning mountain. I remember sledging on our jackets on snow patches at the summit in the height of summer and the most memorable memory was watching two RAF jets skimming over Loch Muick and forgetting about the mountains and going into a steep climb with full after burners which actually blew the snow off the mountains. A scary and amazing sight. I didn't think as a boy that I would be sitting of an evening as a new Dad on RAF Brugen Germany at the time of the build up to Gulf War One watching the jets take off at a distance we felt we could reach out and touch them with full after burner take off lighting up the dusk of a summers evening sinking very cheap bottles of Becks beers. Thanks for the video and memories. I was on Brugen for a holiday visiting friends of my wife not as a member of the armed forces.
Every video you do , the beauty of the scenery seems to surpass that of the last one , you are so lucky to live and ride where you do when the weather's like that . Thanks for the great quality ,inspiring videos 👍🏼
When I lived in Aberdeenshire my favourite mountain epic was Glen Muick to Glen Clova back up over Broad Cairn, Cairn of Gowal, Cairn Bannoch, then pick up path to Lochnagar then several ways down. An interesting option in bone dry is drop down to Dubh Loch via the water falls where its mostly rideable onto the singletrack back down to Loch Muick.
Well done. Hiked Lochnagar before and remember thinking the middle section would be pretty fun on a bike but the waterfall down would be an absolute no way from me, you guys got skills. There's a nice bothy at Glas-alt-shiel as well. Enjoying the vids as always!
Awesome - enjoyed that, amazing weather, as a local I regularly bike Lochnagar, push up the trail above waterfall a lot. Only ridden down it to queens hoose once about 15yrs ago on a 26” wheel 4” travel bike, it was terrifying. Usually descend down to loch callater or invercauld bridge now :).
brilliant video and ride Andrew, needless to say the drone footage smashed it again - really shows off the landscape and riding. How you and Piers can ride sections of that trail is beyond me - much kudos - another fantastic video, stunning location and your bike skills are mad!
Epic footage man! Its some descent having walked it - verging on too chunky to enjoy in parts as you said. Great to see it you two riding it though....
Still amazed by the picture and colours from that drone , I know you have to import them but surprised more channels don't use them. That looked hard work on the steps 😬
I totally admire your riding skills. I've walked down that and it was certainly a day that I didn't need to have taken the bike (helicopter would have been better as my girlfriend picked up a knee injury and it took at least three hours to get down). Fantastic photography once again.
‘The awkward bits were really quite awkward’ that’s a huge understatement! You guys made it look half rideable, I found it well beyond my capabilities. Cracking area though, loads of great routes nearby!
Superb video as always 👍🏻 Cairngorms is one of my favourite place in Scotland 🏴 I was lucky enough to see Queen Elizabeth in 2019 from just around two metres distance when she was leaving church ⛪️ in Crathie after Sunday’s service
@@r2dadizubz I’m not a big fan of Queen and Royal Family myself but not every day you have an opportunity to see an actual Queen from just two meters distance and without huge crowds of people
MrMcT with his own advertising model, you've come a long way 😉. Looked a tough ride that, the drone footage was superb and clearly showed how tough the terrain/steps were, # industryleader😉👍
Wow! Wow! Wow! Absolutely amazing footage, incredible riding. How the f... do you ride some of that stuff? I'd struggle walking. Thanks for another superb video.
Hope Pearce is getting a commission! Spectacular weather & scenery as per the norm. Got yourself a Hero10 yet? Sure Scotland would look stunning in 5.3k. :)
I love your videos, this has to be one of the best! Please can you tell me what drone this is? and how you make it "follow you" the way it does.. I have urges to buy one!
Adjusts great to get feedback like that ☺️ I’ve got the drone linked in the description, there are a good few videos on RUclips that go into detail on how it works 👍
Good description of that route and yeh the descent is not for the faint hearted! I have a question and I’m sure others may have already asked! Yer mate, does he nah have a backpack, I’m guessing you have to carry spares, water and food for the both of you 😂
would love to do this but there's no way i'm making it past the boulderfield with an ebike :D walked it many a time but it's a fair old hike back up from the midlands.
Hi Andrew. What tyres you are using now on your bike? My Magic Mary tyres are close to end of their life and I’m thinking about Michelin Wild Enduro or Michelin DH 22 front and 34 rear. I know have been using Wild Enduros in the past? Thanks
Currently running a Magic Mary and Hans Damph. I was running Michelin wild Enduro’s before and will most likely go back to them as they were very good.
I don't think I'll take my new bike on that trail. As it is a hardtail. I would have a funny shaped rear wheel. My legs would good for bigger all. Plus I can't bunny hop to save my life. Even clipped in to my pedals.
One does not just simply ride in the Queen's garden, one must full send for Queen and country, blood good show chaps! ✌👊🤣
One is impressed with one’s witty banter😜

Just discovered your channel, your trails are amazing, I love 'em!!!!

Welcome Eeshan, thanks for the sub 👍
Man alive!! I'm just knackered from watching that. What an epic ride
Cheers Robert
Absolutely fantastic .
Andy having watched many of your Vids me and Shirley have made our minds up to move to Scotland.
Cheers 😊👌
That is awesome! 👏
A friend asked me what I was watching. I replied "my fantasy".
Amazing views and riding!
Haha, good answer 🤘

Thanks very much Caroline 😊
Another belter Andrew. Watched loads of yours tuff as ive said before and that's right up there. Real mountain biking !!
Much appreciate Sean
Bonkers bonkers where guys ride bikes....and to cap it all getting to see it .... 100out ten for the drone footage it's nearly beyond words ....🤴🤴
Much appreciated buddy ☺️
that was another great video Andrew, fantastic scenery, and loved Pierce's ad campaigns, and slogans, lol.
Piers was on form on this one 👍
Stunning part of the country, whatever the weather.
Agreed

I’ve had a little look at that one involving the Duhb Loch, maybe the weather isn’t in it now.
The scenery is epic! I would love to go ride in Scotland someday. Great Video man 👍
Best place in the world when the sun’s out 👍
Beautiful scenery again, Andrew and Pierce!
Thanks buddy
Brilliant , to much for me .
Going to do the 5 munros to loop around to it , then down easterly path from Lochnagar .

Your observations were about spot on.
Stunning scenery and some awesome riding, I think a tank would struggle with some of the sections of this trail. Excellent stuff. 👍⚠⚠⚠
Haha, cheers John

Thanks dude, I think the drone did this one justice which is nice.
What a beautiful landscape 🤩
Not too shabby
Looks a fantastic ride. Nice one. Have been meaning to run up that way for ages, and you've stoked the fire.
Get it done soon mate 👍
soon in stock Pearce the Privateer Merch, great video again mate :D
Perhaps 🤔😜
Epic footage man! Its some descent having walked it - verging on too chunky to enjoy in parts as you said. Great to see it you two riding it though....
PS. Can you ask Piers where he got his jersey? 👀🤣
Very fully on in places for sure! I’ve no idea where Piers got those awesome jerseys from 😜

Not many channels can take full advantage of the drone. These open Scottish hills are ideal though👍
Amazing views . Well rode fellas
Thanks buddy
Awesome. Always wanted to do this. Looks fantastic but very hard and the weather ❤️❤️❤️
It’s a tough one for sure mate, but stunning all the same.

Cheers Rob, it’s certainly not an easy going trail. I think I’d probably hurt my knees if I walked the whole lot TBH 😬

May have down played it a bit 😜 It is pretty full on down at the bottom for sure.

very impressive riding , awesome backdrop
Thanks Steve
Awesome video mate love that waterfall you must have been shaken to death lol 🚵♀️🚵♀️🚵♀️
Stunning waterfall that one.
That was steep! Top Job!
Thanks Ron
The drone footage of you boys standing beside the waterfall was stunning I’d put that in a frame and hang on a wall.Brilliant vid as always man 🤘🤘
Should have used that as the thumbnail 🤔
MrMcT with his own advertising model, you've come a long way 😉. Looked a tough ride that, the drone footage was superb and clearly showed how tough the terrain/steps were, # industryleader😉👍
Your suspension must need servicing on a monthly basis 😁.
Fantastic scenery and riding. 👍
It definitely gets a bit more use than your average rider 😜
Was your suspension crying after that. Spectacular day for you ride.
Crying tears of joy 😜
Some of this is more Mctrial rider than Mctrail rider. I’m here all week 😂😂😂👍
Good one 😜
Could sell some of that drone footage to council tourism teams, really shows the best of the Scottish mountains!
That would be cool👍
I’m jealous of where you ride every vid
I never take it for granted 👍
Is the drone coded to follow a set route of you guys down the mountain? If so that's so cool, and which drone is it?
Skydio 2 is the drone, I’ve got it linked in the description.
Is actually taking me in real time and fully autonomously 😮
Wow! Wow! Wow! Absolutely amazing footage, incredible riding. How the f... do you ride some of that stuff? I'd struggle walking. Thanks for another superb video.
Suppose we’ve just gotten used to this kind of riding now. Wouldn’t have hit this back in the day😬
Looks fairly chunky like !.
Reasonably 😜

Piers is getting nothing off me 😜 Hero 10 should be with me in the next couple of days 👍

Piers carries a surprising amount of stuff on his frame, but yeah, I carry the majority of the equipment we need of things go wrong.
would love to do this but there's no way i'm making it past the boulderfield with an ebike :D walked it many a time but it's a fair old hike back up from the midlands.
Yeah I wouldn’t fancy carrying a ebike up this one myself 😬
amazing vid
Thanks
Come on what was happening at the bottom of the waterfall that needed a hand up apology lol 😆
We want to know!
Haha, thinking the same.
Get your mind out of the waterbar

@@McTrailRider oh abit of the O natural getting abit of fresh air lol 😆
Good stuff but surely "Queens Rock Garden" is the name of this route?
That would be a good name for this video 👍
Great video! And as mentioned before, who was behind the rocks at the waterfall? The mind can be a dangerous place!
There was a couple of women not wearing too much. Thought it would have been rude to put them up on RUclips😜
