“It’s because he’s bi” 😂 never seen that line before.
I just don't see why he'd be called Vamp for being bisexual.
@@Freakazoid12345 Me either 😆
@@DJKixxOfficial 🧛♂
I also had that as a stand out, dafuq line back in the day.
People who weren't straighter than a protestant at maximum guilt i.e bisexuals were referred to as sexual vampires in a lot of places back then
Wait - there's a version of Metal Gear Solid 2 that's _in context!??_
Why did the president grab his balls lol
Shit the entire point of the game is that context is kinda made up
@@BadSheet68 Not to get too serious; I do think that's a _bit_ of an oversimplification - but I see your point anyway!
I've beat the game and watched multiple videos explaining the story and still don't really know what happened
@@yes2462 It's just too convoluted for a simple breakdown. As far as I can gather the most simple explanation of the story possible from the perspective of the main protagonist is:
Raiden was chosen by an artificial intelligence system to undergo a process that would shape him into a super-soldier, using Solid Snake's backstory as a template; it manipulated the Son's of Liberty into "re-enacting" the Shadow Moses incident, and gaslit Raiden by ensuring all questions and doubts to supporting mission personnel were filtered directly through the system itself. So he thinks his commanding officer and his girlfriend are directing his mission, but once the mission starts he's only talking to a computer to ensure his compliance. As he suspected his girlfriend was never meant to crossover into his military career, and he never met Cambell in the first place, so it's very likely he was always the AI, even before mission start. The other players in the story could have been manipulated in similar ways.
For all intents and purposes the above is the plot of Metal Gear Solid 2, without getting sidetracked by every tendril, and side-story.
It's really not clear to me why this plan to manipulate is revealed to Raiden. I thought it was to plant seeds of doubt in his mind about his capabilities as a soldier, like the ones expressed by Snake in Shadow Moses. But actually Snake is told repeatedly (and falsely) by his brother that he is unequivocally the superior genetic specimen. Snake never learns the truth. The best explanation beyond "the jig is up" forces us down another lore-based rabbit hole. Raiden's relationship to Solidus is closer to that of Solid and Big Boss, not Solid and Liquid. Big Boss betrayed Solid Snake during his first mission, and he was forced to kill him. So to simplify a little, the Patriots AI might've assumed this was a logical distillation of Solid Snake's experience across his most formative missions, as a soldier. Telling him a version of the truth was a tactical sacrifice to recreate that betrayal by an authority figure in the eleventh hour of his mission.
We know from Metal Gear Solid 4 that the ultimate goal of the Patriot AI is to create a perpetual, worldwide war economy. The reasons it developed that directive involve people mostly separate from MGS2 with their own shared history and their own agendas. For the purposes of this story it's the underlying reason the AI is so interested in making and understanding super soldiers.
this is the first out of context video where there is actually no context
0:34 like this clip is a good example

"My name is Jennifer"
+ Dramatic Zoom out +
You should've included the part where Raiden says "I'm starting to enjoy this game"
DUDE PULLED UP WITH ROLLER SKATES LMAOOOOO
And a glass of wine. With a straw in it.
How dare you, he's an artist
LAUGH AND GROW FAT
What do you mean these are all perfectly in context
When Fatman rolls up life is short and I am very much in touch with my inner Child
And then Red Sun starts playing in the background
The most Kojima thing ever
Best thing ever. Lol. It’s been over 15 years since I played this.
"mgs2 out of context" bruh the game goes out of context after the tanker chapter all the way until like half of the plant chapter
Not nerd, node
Oh

He pulled a SOTN Dracula there.
_What is a man?_
8:55 I like how they only did liquid's voice in sons of liberty and then he never does the voice in guns of the patriots.
There was a 7 year gap between Sons of Liberty and Guns of the Patriots. During that time, Ocelot's Japanese voice actor, Koji Totani had died (in 2006). So they got Liquid Snake's voice actor to do the voice for Ocelot in Japanese MGS 4. As for why Cam Clarke didn't return for the English Dub of MGS 4, I'm not sure.
@@CophinRuinz0rKestraidk but patric zimmerman fucking KILLED IT as ocelot so i dont care
He butchered the franchise by abandoning the premise of the first two MGS games so that he could make Ocelot the main character.
@@tedpilledtonysoprano5512 I mean it makes sense that Ocelot would remove his arm given that Liquid tried to control him all the time. But it was really weak for that to happen offscreen. I would have rather liked Liquid actually controlling him, maybe even to the point where Ocelot would resemble Liquid more and more.
@@tedpilledtonysoprano5512 Ocelot was always the most important villain character in the series. Even in MGS 1, the after-credits cut scene where he reveals he was working undercover for the US president the whole time (the president being Solidus Snake), and then in MGS 2 he revealed he was actually working against Solidus as a spy for the patriots the whole time too.
He was in every MGS game and was the most important antagonist in every game except for MGS V where he's an ally.
In MGS 3 he was working behind the Russian's back the whole time and was pretty much an ally of Naked Snake, or at least he only pretended to want to kill him and specifically prohibited his soldiers in his unit from firing on him because he wanted Snake alive, and then kept "failing" to kill him himself, deliberately.
Of course, Skullface was there too in MGS 3 following Naked Snake in secret and wouldn't have let Ocelot kill Snake anyway. But yeah.
Ocelot _IS_ Metal Gear Solid.
I need to play this when the HD Collection Pt 1 releases.
Harry-Carry Rock.
I NEED SCISSORS! 61
“We’ve managed to avoid drowning” sounds so funny just because of the delivery
Well, the game itself is out of context
They don’t have context in Japan, don’t blame Kojima

when I'm alone, normal gameplay. when someone walks in, president johnson grabs raiden's junk.

2:15 this one was perfectly cut, Raiden's face was just like "Excuse me, *'PROBLEM'?!* "
