A while back, I wanted to order an oil separator for the driver side on my 5.0. First place I tried (online as they aren’t in stock in Cali), wouldn’t sell me one due to new EPA reg’s, second place no problem. The overreach by EPA/CARB is ridiculous. All that part will do is clean up my exhaust.
Being a small town hick and having worked on combines and knowing many farmers, but also watching Alex's channel this made me laugh when he was talking about the right to repair stuff. I agree, 100% with right to repair, and this John Deere stuff really is making farmers pissed. It bucks, because there is no equivalent scan tool that they can just go buy and use themselves to fix their own equipment. And yes the last cabureted combine was probably made sometime in the early 80's, and since then everything has been diesel.
Alex is right. These are the kinda questions you dont ask online & expect an official response. Why tf would he rat himself out & post evidence against something detrimental to his own business & income? Have some street smarts.
There was a right to repair case on john deer and won in favor of John deer and what helped them is when I think apple stepped in their side. Another case will have to be brought up and go heavy hitting with knowledge and facts.
