i live here, its really pretty, but oh my god theres nothing to do if you're over the age of 11 or under the age of 65. Also, the pub isn't active, you can't even go in anymore, and the play ground is super recent! Built just before/after covid if i remember correctly. Also! Somthing you didn't add here since its not really apart of the village, but theres a really neat little wood down a path either off of school lane or sikey lane (they both meet at the same point, one just cuts through some horse and sheep fields. It's always full of bluebells and alot of people take their dogs down there. eakring is also smack in the middle of the DofE Routes for schools around nottinghamshire, I live on the route and often mess with people going down it when they are confused and mistake my parents garden for a footpath (its massive and over grown so it makes sense.
I must look out for your other video,s i very much enjoyed this one as a Newark resident, iave discovered the village oil wells and enjoyed the walks, and wondered what those electrical installations were ,so it all , makes sense now,so cheers for the info,

Amazing growing up in the village so much to explore
Both my dad and one of my uncle’s worked at Eakring oil wells in the 1940’s when it was Darcey Exploration
Nice little video, certainly more to Eakring than initially meets the eye.
Indeed!
