Just make sure you have the right firmware for your box and extract the files from the zip onto the sd card and not the zipped file itself.. there should be 3 files on the card when extracted from the zip.. hi i have a problem with my android m82 SoC model: AMLogic Meson8 AML8726-M8 Core microarchitecture: 4x ARM Cortex-A9 @ 1992 MHz to make it short since the same although equipped with a reset button does not have the recovery mod I installed the twpr apk app and tried to insert it as root. Result, the box is blocked and will not light up anymore. i tried various flash methods including connecting to pc with amlogic usb burning tool and original firmware. The pc recognizes it loads the image file but over 2% does not work. In addition, the box does not turn on either the blue or red LEDs. At this point my doubt is a mistake some passage I have the box is permanently lost ????
@ Hoangsa, try re-flashing the unit again although this time you will need to do it via toothpick method make sure you download the OpenELEC-Amlogic-M8-6.0

Yes i had tried the toothpick method as well but still to no available. the last step in toothpick method is "to reboot the system now" the box only flashing the M8 chip logo twice then the screen went blank. So I had to flash the box with Megatron V3 and back to Android. But I did try another M8 box today and this time the whole flashing process went smoothly and quickly, I've got OpenELEC installed on my M8. I'm kinda stuck.. so I installed openelec, and once I plugged it into the tv I wanted to use it on it just hangs on the amlogic m8s screen and doesn't boot past that screen. Should I reinstall? I tried the toothpick method to load to recovery but it just loads to the amlogic m8s screen.

After following this procedure for my MXQ i get only internal RED LED, if i use the toothpick, i get a momentary flash of the blue LED then nothing, i tried using the USB burning tool but it gets to 2% and has Romcode/intialze DDR/Identify/USB Contol setu error? I get an error on install on an MXq. I also can't boot into recovory. I'm about to take my head gun to this box for some USB ports and such and junk the rest.

It wont even work doing that 😢 think the box is some knockoff. The toothpick method is what I done first, flashed as normal getting to the end but as soon as it rebooted it was stuck on the m8 logo. Not even the original firmware works an pressing a tooth pick in at boot with 3 files on does nothing. 😢
Hi, I manage to install openelec to a minix 8h plus, after bricking an m8s and a minix 7 .. but the problem is that it will not stream, I installed the same addons I have on my mac and on my pc (exod) BUT in the box streaming doesn't work.. I only get working. it has Internet, since it gets the updates of the addons the only diff is the version of kodi ...can it be just because it is not running jarvis ? can we update the rom to jarvis by switching a file in the sd card? or the smb method with libre elec?

i did the tooth pick method, but after the reboot the system recovery screen keeps coming up.
