Well i tried many sources, and the result is same, red dot not booting up. I can enter recovery mode to install from sd card or usb but after installation i dont get the boot logo and the red dot stay on.

Before you attempt to open the box and short pins, I like to share an additional method that I have discovered to fix a software brick. If your Mbox turns ON with a Blue lit LED but doesn't seem to boot up, always has a black blank screen, won't take any SD or USB stick flashes/programming, throws E:/cache directory errors, and/or your Mbox doesn't get detected by your PC to use the Burn Tool. One trick to try is to use TWRP with the Burn Tool. Find the version of TWRP that works with your Mbox and install an old Burn Tool like version 2.0.5 if you have an older box. With your MBox OFF, insert your SD card with TWRP, and follow the instructions in the video above to set the Burn Tool to burn. However when holding the Reset button down for your PC to detect your MBox, let go of Reset when you hear your PC detect your device. Detection should happen around 10 seconds if you have TWRP working. When the Burn Tool detects the port your MBox is on, continue to flash your firmware of choice with the instructions in the video. You should be good to go! I have used my S802 MXIII 4K 1GB with Tronfy 116K4 firmware for years until I got fed up with the sound always going out. I did a lot of research on firmware options and soft bricked my MBox using Remix 115k4 firmware. I tried almost every method to recover my Mbox to no avail until I tried my bright idea above. In the end, Tronsmart 115k4 firmware worked great for my S802! On top of that, Kodi 17 using MyGica Media Center worked fantastically!! MyGica Media Center was developed for Kitkat 4.4. Which one do you find best for 1080p playback. All are close to the same price but having a hard time picking between the s905 or the s812. Id prefer the newer tech but also like the extra ram the ms8+ has over the mxq plus
Ill have to disagree after checking both out. The S905 ran much smoother and really the only downside is that you have to clear your cache every so often due to the lack of ram. Tested personally with the M8S+ and the MXQ Pro.

My M8S+ shut down on me while in use. The front lights were sort of flickering so I unplugged it. Now the red LED is on but it does not respond to the remote or anything. Will either of these methods help me out or did something get fried?
+JustMe ROMs Looks like I'm out of luck. I must have tried 50 times and the USB Burn tool will not recognize the box. I think the fact that it will not power up at all and only shows me a Red LED means something is fried. Guessing I'll have to go ahead and send it back.

hi, i have a m8s which has been bricked but does power up but has a red light instead of a blue light (on the triangle light) i have tried the first way with no joy but on the second way with the cable. the box is only recognised using the inner usb port but will only get to 2% & keeps retrying but get no further. i have tried it on the outer usb but it doesnt recognise it at all.

Hi there, I can connect to the pc and the usb burning software starts but always fails at 2%. Ive checked force erase but it still stops. Once the connection has been made do u release the reset button or continue to hold it down for the full 3-5mins.. I've tried both but it doesnt seem to make any difference. btw it is staying connected and trying to download the image file over and over but 2% is all it does. This is an m8 box and i'm installing the s802 img file supplied below his video. The blue power light is now off where before trying this it was on. Please please help can't take much more of this ;-(
It is giving a usb control setup error. Its weird. It connects to the pc without the power lead and starts to burn even when the reset button isn't depressed, but always gives the error at 2%

Hi, I tried to unbrick my M8S by using the burn tool and the S802-s8012 image file. I the M8S is detected by the Burn Tool program and I can start the update but after 2% it always disconnects and tries again. Below in the window I get the message "USB Control Setup Error". Any suggestions ????

hi i have a problem with my android m82 SoC model: AMLogic Meson8 AML8726-M8 Core microarchitecture: 4x ARM Cortex-A9 @ 1992 MHz to make it short since the same although equipped with a reset button does not have the recovery mod I installed the twpr apk app and tried to insert it as root. Result, the box is blocked and will not light up anymore. i tried various flash methods including connecting to pc with amlogic usb burning tool and original firmware. The pc recognizes it loads the image file but over 2% does not work. In addition, the box does not turn on either the blue or red LEDs. At this point my doubt is a mistake some passage I have the box is permanently lost ????
After I flashed, The TV went Black, The box stayed powered up , i left it for about 30 mins and still black, powered it down, now it wont power back up , do these methods work if the box is not powering on or is it done

Hi I have a mygica 1800e which is basically the same as a m8 with the 802 chip 16gb memory 2gb ram. Was working for years until recently when in only boots to Lollipop screen and nothing else. I have tried booting from SD and trying to get to recovery (which I have done numerous times prev) but can no longer get to recovery mode. Hoping you can help or advise. As soon as I plug in power I get a black screen and within 5sec I get to Lollipop screen where it just stays on that screen. :( Please help
i have MXQ PRO 4k 5G box with 2gb ram and 16gb memory. it was working good but sudden it stuck on blue light and android boot screen only. i tried to do hard reset but seems that reset button which is available inside AV slot is also not working. i have downloaded latest firmware and uploaded the same on my sd card with Burn Card Maker and then i tried to upgrade firmware with sd card after connecting my sd card into USB card reader and then to MXQ Box. but still it shows only android on screen and blue light in box. Hi there, I can connect to the pc and the usb burning software starts but always fails at 2%. Ive checked force erase but it still stops. Once the connection has been made do u release the reset button or continue to hold it down for the full 3-5mins.. I've tried both but it doesnt seem to make any difference. btw it is staying connected and trying to download the image file over and over but 2% is all it does. This is an m8 box and i'm installing the s802 img file supplied below his video. The blue power light is now off where before trying this it was on.

It is giving a usb control setup error. Its weird. It connects to the pc without the power lead and starts to burn even when the reset button isn't depressed, but always gives the error at 2%

Hi, I tried to unbrick my M8S by using the burn tool and the S802-s8012 image file. I the M8S is detected by the Burn Tool program and I can start the update but after 2% it always disconnects and tries again. Below in the window I get the message "USB Control Setup Error". Any suggestions ????

i am trying to do the bootmaker i have downloaded the bootmaker and the zip file for my mqx box inserted my cd card into pc run the to with admmin click on u boot and make it says c sucess then when i click on my sd to view it says file empty isnt there serpose to be files on it thanks

hi i have a problem with my android m82 SoC model: AMLogic Meson8 AML8726-M8
Core microarchitecture: 4x ARM Cortex-A9 @ 1992 MHz to make it short since the same although equipped with a reset button does not have the recovery mod I installed the twpr apk app and tried to insert it as root. Result, the box is blocked and will not light up anymore. i tried various flash methods including connecting to pc with amlogic usb burning tool and original firmware. The pc recognizes it loads the image file but over 2% does not work. In addition, the box does not turn on either the blue or red LEDs. At this point my doubt is a mistake some passage I have the box is permanently lost ????
i have an M8 Android box plug power lead in no blue light will not turn on the power lead is working ok had it for 4 months is ther a fix ???

Where can i find the 2 files, The unlock_autoscript, and the usb.wps file. The rest i have found, only not those two
After I flashed, The TV went Black, The box stayed powered up , i left it for about 30 mins and still black, powered it down,
now it wont power back up , do these methods work if the box is not powering on or is it done

Bro anyways no need to send,i just follow your sd procedure it works like a charm haha my m8 is now working fine, but i notice the screen bootup is now m8+ before it was not? i check my m8 motherboard its an m8 /m8+ version. It was m8 before when it loads up but now its now showing the m8+ sign on the screen. Hi I have a mygica 1800e which is basically the same as a m8 with the 802 chip 16gb memory 2gb ram. Was working for years until recently when in only boots to Lollipop screen and nothing else. I have tried booting from SD and trying to get to recovery (which I have done numerous times prev) but can no longer get to recovery mode. Hoping you can help or advise. As soon as I plug in power I get a black screen and within 5sec I get to Lollipop screen where it just stays on that screen. :( Please help
i have MXQ PRO 4k 5G box with 2gb ram and 16gb memory. it was working good but sudden it stuck on blue light and android boot screen only. i tried to do hard reset but seems that reset button which is available inside AV slot is also not working. i have downloaded latest firmware and uploaded the same on my sd card with Burn Card Maker and then i tried to upgrade firmware with sd card after connecting my sd card into USB card reader and then to MXQ Box. but still it shows only android on screen and blue light in box. I had M8S bricked 2 weeks ago. Tried above method. Went ok until the final part when I tried to flash SD card with 7 files onto the box.. Nothing happened. No sign of life on the screen. Tried several times tooth pick method but no go.
