Nadal has something other champions just do not possess. This loss by Novak proves that. Nadal missed the entire half of 2021. Lost at FO, missed Wimbledon and USO. Loses in an early round at Washington. He then takes off the rest of the tennis season due to his chronic foot injury. Undergoes foot surgery. Plays an exhibition match in mid-December. Love it when Nole has to eat some humble pie! had it been Nadal would probably had forced fed him a bagle or 2 Interesting how the Nole fans are making all kinds of excuses for him
No faking injuries like Dopedull, and pathetic excuses from his fans after he loses. Today Novak lost to a better player. He was rusty AF old GOATkovic. 3 matches in 4 months is insanely very little match time. If he manages to get more match practice time he may stand a chance to win a few more big titles this year, if not ... well there are 250s and 500s ATP events to practice. Come back stronger for HC season in Q4 2022 and Q1 2023.
Im Nadal fan but we have to accept that Djokovic need play time to be fit. He is not a machine after all, even Nadal needed to play a 250 tournament to get ready.
@@KyoFanDuB I just like to rattle the cage of Novak's fans 😁 I don't really consider myself a fan of any of the players just enjoy watching the game. some player more than others
Honesty looking at the scorecard, I thought Djokovic played poorly to lose in the first round but watching this highlights I realised that the Spaniard deserves total credit. Great tennis!
I watched a bit of this match, (last 2 games of first set and entire second set) it was not a good match if you recorded it I advise you to not watch it. Other than a few flashes of brilliance by the pair (Fokina with sliding backhands, Djokovic with his returns) this was a shocker, unforced errors being bombed by the plenty, at one point Fokina choked so hard and served 3 consecutive double faults to get broken. Serving in general was really average and overheads were terrible.
When I see Nole lose, I feel happy. Comparison to Rafa come back at AO, he could get the win. Many underestimate him that it is because Nole didn't participate in the game. But this has already proved that although he joins to play, he can't get the win.
Actually that's not accurate. From Davis Cup to AO22 was a quite short time, if Novak played AO22 he could regain his form in R1 R2 matches. People are too focusing on the fact he lost to Vesely in Dubai, but it's understandable considering how little he had been playing for 4 months until that time. It's not that he always, or at least constantly loses to "nameless" players like Vesely. To be fair Nadal and Federer also had many losses to very low ranked players, but people seem to forget that. Sure, if Novak played AO22 he might not win the whole tournament, but there would definitely be chances for him. Your saying "can't get the win" is wrong.

The big three is a beautiful thing I've been watching most my life and it's been a blast. Respect all three but the fans are a different story...
Everyone who is maliciously insulting Novak here and are trying to downplay his achievements and success throughout his career, let me tell you - YOU ARE NOT TRUE TENNIS FANS! He accomplished so much that if he retires tomorrow, he'll still remain as one of the three GOATs of the sport. Everyone who is saying otherwise is not in touch with reality and is full of hatred thorwards a person that doesnt even know about their existence. Imagine how pathetic that is. You can like him or dislike him as a person, but you can't deny his HUGE impact and importance for the sport, as well as Rafa's and Roger's. They elevated the game and it will never be the same again. Have some respect for the legend!
Credits to Alejandro, but what was wrong with Novak… how could you lose the third set that way, after he won the second in some style? Further to this, it seemed he really had some physical issues at the end of the Match? It will be interesting to see how this season will run for him. Good Luck and hopefully some wins during the next months 🍀
Nobody understands how tuff it is to come back from that what he went trough. Its different when you come back from an injury. He has to come back from something bigger than that.

I've been Nole's biggest fan since 2007 - sad to see Djokovic going out but it is no surprise after no match plays! Also, people seem to forget that Djo is already 35 and he is always coming favorite against the youngsters in their early 20s... When Djo was in his early 20s, he had already won many masters and at least 1 slam. What not natural and normal is for youngsters to struggle and lose against "oldies"!
Toxic Nadal Fan spotted
Im Nadal fan but we have to accept that Djokovic need play time to be fit.
He is not a machine after all, even Nadal needed to play a 250 tournament to get ready.
@@ApostolowitzMK All good but that "Dopedull" its still 21 GS.
@@KyoFanDuB I just like to rattle the cage of Novak's fans 😁 I don't really consider myself a fan of any of the players just enjoy watching the game. some player more than others
They looked like two pretty good players standing and warming up for 3 hours.
🙉😆👍🏻
really well played by alijendro
Serving in general was really average and overheads were terrible.
fokina passing shots. Just wow
@@hanglythu1566 what about last year at the US Open? Rafa has more US Open titles than Nole and he wasn't able to play.... still nole couldn't get it done for his 21 losing in straight sets against medvedev.... but when rafa was able to get it done for his 21 (against medvedev after he's been out for months for surgery) Novak fans try and dismiss it? That's funny
Didn't he lose twice to zverev and carruno busta not even qualifying to medal at the Olympics? It's not like the guy wasn't able to practice while he was out
@@2424pineapple everyone has their losses. You're being overprotective toward Nadal. How about I say Rafa lost to Wawrinka in AO2014 after Waw beat Novak ? Novak wasn't there and Nadal still didn't win. Why can't people like you just appreciate the 3 of them all ? Yeah Rafa has more USO, and FO. But Novak has more AO and Wim. I hate it when people only see the achievements of their idols without the weaknesses. Nadal himself appreciates Novak, if you're his fan learn some respect from him.
@@hanglythu1566 no I recognize Novak as the greatest player of all time right now... with rafa right behind him. I actually really like Novak and he doesn't deserve all the hate he gets for sure but for months nole fans screamed and played what if's dismissing rafas AO win. I'm just pointing out recent/current events that counter that logic completely.
While Novak was out it wasn't like he wasn't able to train.... he was able to have extra time to get ready for the clay also.
The big three is a beautiful thing I've been watching most my life and it's been a blast. Respect all three but the fans are a different story...
You are awesome fokina !
Playing against one of the greats in the game is never easy..
Well said! A great view
El sólito se ha desprestigiado por falso, mentiroso, y tramposo, y así es cómo se le recordará, el sólito se lo ha buscado por su prepotencia
Seriously !!!!!! Since against Jiri Vesely in Monte Carlo 2016 in 2nd Round
yeeeeeeesss Congrats Fokina !!!
Djoko we LOVE you in Spain too, fuerza serbia
Djokovic has been out of competition since December. in the atp missing this many matches is detrimental, but he will regain.
Fok is playing great lately.
Vamos Alejandro
Last year, Fonika attent quatar final Roland Garros, he also was champion boy wimbledon!
Credits to Alejandro, but what was wrong with Novak… how could you lose the third set that way, after he won the second in some style? Further to this, it seemed he really had some physical issues at the end of the Match? It will be interesting to see how this season will run for him. Good Luck and hopefully some wins during the next months 🍀
he really didn’t win the second in style there were 6 breaks in total, they both played pretty bad
Djokovic did not win the second set "in some style". If not for Fokina's grazing, he would have lost in straight sets.
Nobody understands how tuff it is to come back from that what he went trough.
Its different when you come back from an injury. He has to come back from something bigger than that.
@@draganjolic484 🙄🙄
He hasnt played in months that is what is wrong. And clay isnt his best surface to make a comeback on to begin with. He wont do much this year most likely. But he will be back next.
Me parece recordar que durante la pandemia entrenaron mucho juntos en Marbella, eso le ha ayudado a ALEJANDRO
Don't underestimate any Spanish player on clay they grew up playing on it
Had no idea he was Español!! Good going Alejandro !
He is from Malaga
Fokina quá xuất sắc
Not a fan of Djokovic but still feel badly for him. He is growing on me despite all his antics. I've come to see a sweetness in him and his vulnerability that makes him more human. Respect him tremendously for his accomplishments and his athletism
Djokovic is done❗
Fokina is such a good tennis player.
¿ Qué dicen ahora los que dijeron que los triunfos en torneos por otros tenistas no tenían mérito por no jugar Nole?
Ano to że Diokovic dokonał wyboru.I co za tym idzie nie może nie grając w turniejach być w formie
man good performance by Fokina
my prediction says Davidovich fokina will be in the top 20 by September!!! 😁😎👍
I don’t think so but fair enough
he won't
He won't. Played well but not consistently. 1 good game every 3 loser games.
@@andiimamarundhana7468 His inconsistency is his worst enemy. But it also makes him hard to play. You never know what state of mind he is in in a game.
I really enjoy watching him play so I hope you're right. Such a nice guy also.
ADF doing god's work. 🙌🙌
Man, I'm a life long Nadal fan. But this was hard to watch! After Dubai this happened. C'mon , Djokovic, vamos! I'm a new fan just love his firm stance on Vaccines.
Fokina and the racket are one right now
I wanted to see Carlos wipe the floor with joker but this was a good match also
I think a Carlos vs Alejandro match could be fun, since they’re both very physical players
In Monte-Carlo like in Melbourne, Djokovic just stopped by to say hello 👋
I've been Nole's biggest fan since 2007 - sad to see Djokovic going out but it is no surprise after no match plays! Also, people seem to forget that Djo is already 35 and he is always coming favorite against the youngsters in their early 20s... When Djo was in his early 20s, he had already won many masters and at least 1 slam. What not natural and normal is for youngsters to struggle and lose against "oldies"! I really hope Djo can win at least 1 GS to level Nadal at least, but I am afraid its getting tougher and tougher, although I see no consistency in young guns yet! Will he be able to win at least 1 GS? Time is not on his side!
that's no excuse, nadal was injured for months and entered the australian open and won it. qq
@@eugeneleones16 tháts true and I am still in awe at how Nadal could come back so strongly, best start ever for Nadal this year
