      He had it with Randall Cobb, Devante Adams and Ty Mongomery. There are a lot of QB's in this league that would love to have those guys to throw the ball to.

      Have they not played great and helped the Packers. Adams is very good WR and TY has filled in and done a great job to help them. I think you are the one who needs to stop drinking the Kook Aid.

    Aaron was the best player on that field yesterday. Miami trip didn't do the giants in, they scored around what they averaged in the season. That defense had 0 answer for A.R. he losses his best receiver and t.e. and he lit them up like times square on new years

      I honestly, I think Roger's protection was the MVP yesterday. They were amazing, even in the first quarter. Yes, Roger's did get sacked, but only after 5 seconds in pocket and not finding ANYTHING. But eventually, Roger's figured out their defense

    • @derrickjones3505
      @derrickjones3505 8 лет назад +6

      Significant Nobody Yeah Rodgers was great, but that defense was GASSED out. Giants literally punted the ball every possession in the second half... it felt like Aaron Rodgers was on the field the entire half.

    I hate when people use championships to measure someone's greatness. championship is a team accomplishment. if that's the case, Trent dilfer is a better quarterback then Dan marino. Robert Horry is better then mj.

    • @chrisphoria
      @chrisphoria 8 лет назад +12

      It's funny how so many people use stats and Superbowl for greatness. Rodgers has better stats in regular season and post season than Brady does. The only thing that Brady has over Rodgers is time and better defenses on his team.
      Brady's Career Passer Rating - 97.2 Post Season Rating - 88.0
      Rodgers Career Passer Rating - 104.1 Post Season Rating -100.3
      People have to start realizing that a team wins SuperBowls, not just one player. Tom Brady won a SuperBowl and only threw 1 touchdown and 572 the entire playoffs, Rodgers lost a playoff game when he threw for over 400 yards and 4 Tds.

    Skip is on point, Packers actual score (removing hail mary 5% success rate and 4th quarter points due to giants forcing plays) was something close to 21-23. If Giants recievers could have had similar to skills of 10 year olds i.e. catching the ball, the game would have had a completely different outlook.

  • @GodsSon987
    @GodsSon987 8 лет назад +1

    I kinda agree with Skip. The drops by Giants WRs in the 1st half killed them the most. Had they made those catches, Giants could've converted crucial 3rd downs and even scored tds, keeping momentum on their side. The defense did all they could to stall Rodgers, but were eventually pretty much overpowered from being on the field too long (and losing DRC in the slot didn't help.)

    Skip is unparalleled in his biases - for the Cowboys, for Tom Brady, against Aaron Rodgers, and against LeBron. He loses all objectivity and logic when talking about those four topics. He even goes back on his own logic if that's what it takes to hold on to his views. It's pointless to debate Skip on these issues because he won't change his mind, he won't look at games objectively, and he will pick and choose facts to support his partisan view. Some things never change.

  • @sethbudrik8906
    @sethbudrik8906 8 лет назад +4

    Skip keeps making this about Beckam going to Miami, and I do believe that was part of it, he honestly isn't giving Rogers enough credit. Rogers only looked bad because of how good The Giant's defense was, but eventually, he figured out their defense like he always does and won. Also, Roger's protection is amazing. I honestly think they are the MVPs of that game. People don't talk about them as much as they honestly should and it's a shame

    • @connorsmith6517

      If you can't pressure Rodgers he will shred your defense. I don't care if he's playing the Steel Curtain. You give him, 6,7, 8, and sometimes even 9 secs to throw the ball on each possession and he will beat you.

    I thought that I would never say that in my life, but Skip's analysis was spot on. McAdoo has a lot of work to do in the offseason. The receiving corps could still turn out to be great, but the coaches have a lot of talking to do.

    Giants could have been up 10-0. This could have changed the whole story. Odell Dropped balls he would catch easily during the regular season. Giants lost that game and that affected the whole team.. defense played too much!

    So tired of hearing the Super Bowl argument when it comes to greatness... it KINDA works in a sport like Basketball where you never leave the court and impact the entire game but in football a QB can't play defense, or make field goals etc... Are Trent Dilfer and Aaron Rodgers equals because they both have one Super Bowl championship? Such a ridiculously stupid argument.

    Stephen A made a strong point on First Take. Victor Cruz has been here, he knows what playoff football in Green Bay feels like, why convince the young bulls (Odell & Shepard) that this was a good idea? Obviously Odell was distracted this game.. it's almost hard to watch when you know how talented he is. He straight up choked. And Ben Mcadoo needs to figure this out ASAP. All of them KNEW if they lost this game, everyone would blame the Miami trip. But the sad thing is, EVERYONE else showed up except the WR corps, which is supposed to be the best trio in the league. Smh

    Aaron Rodgers is great and a badman but people really need to stop saying that these Hail Mary's are all his doing. If Brady was to do the same thing I wouldn't be up there saying he is the reason why that was successful. Have to give the Receivers a bit more credit for those because it is always a 50/50 for them especially when dealing with most defenders also trying to take it

    We have seen a lot of great performances by QBs this year. Aaron Rodgers had a phenomenal game yesterday. Here is my list for Top QBs of 20161. Kurt Cousins (absolute stud of a gunslinger)2. Dirk Prescott (best rookie season ever. My vote for the MVP)3. Cam Newton (Hesiman, MVP, and outstanding citizen)4. Eli Manning (2x Super Bowl Rings, 'nuff said)5. Philipe Rivers (has never been on a good team yet his teams are always fighting for championships)6. Carson Palmer (he led some great USC teams)7. Tom Brady (great career and leader)8. Drew Bress (dude is the ultimate competitor)9. Russell Wilson (if he was 2" taller Id probably have him higher)10. Colin Kaepernick (took a stand for what he believes in)
