I recorded Sean (as well as his old band) a few times a really long time ago in Albany and always knew he would be a really successful musician, but I never knew just how successful he would be. Incredible. He's the real deal.
Rediscovering Sean tonight. His music reached me during one of my deployments to the desert many years ago and I listened to him on a loop for the entire time. Now I am hooked again and wanting to see him live.
Well we can't have a garden while we're still on the road There's only room on the dash for a gas station rose You know that when I shut up I got something to say I was looking at you, you were looking away At least we dodged the New York winter... Well maybe the mountain in our eyes Looks like a molehill from the other side We are the elders of our minds We're on our own We're on our own Another year gone by like the signs on the street Highway seventy-five, Nebraska flat as a sheet Living out of the trunk, we bounce around like a dream Another major drawback, another sweet in between At least we're both confused together... But maybe the mountain in our eyes Looks like a molehill from the other side We are the elders of our minds We're on our own We're on our own Maybe the mountain in our eyes Looks like a molehill from the other side We are the elders of our minds We're on our own And maybe the mountain in our eyes Looks like a molehill from the other side We are the elders of our minds We're on our own We're on our own
What a rich sound to his voice. I found about him when I heard his song, 'To Leave Something Behind' on a Prime Video show. I paused the movie and had to find the song using the Lyrics Finder. I absolutely love his sound.
@@mikemadore8856 Yep. I'm a father of three and my boys are out of state due to the pandemic; we have a better support system and my wife can take her job with her where I can't. I turned into a bumbling idiot when I heard I Will Follow Your Trail a month or so back. This was my introduction to Sean and when I found My Little Man I did the same thing. This man sings my soul. Stay safe and God Bless.
Allows me to appreciate, hope, and long for the days my inner child saw only a bright and loved horizon to come and smile when anyone's happiest expectations came to be and hope for far greater for those we haven't met yet. Love ur music
Its called "making profit out of sell out artist in exchange for them to have fame" and hes not like this. Those of discovered him deserve his music compare to those who ignores him because hes not a sell out.
@@strangewayfaringstranger Absolutely. I've been a fan of underground music for 25 years and I'm always surprised at the great artists that don't get any air play. If you haven't already found them, check out Pokey LaFarge, The Milk Carton Kids, and The Civil Wars (this one is kind of a cheat as they only put out two albums before they broke up). Tons of great music if you know where to look. Cheers!
@@joem7572 Thank thank thank you! After your recommendation of The Milk Carton Kids I decided to check their music...and I listened to their last three albums non stop. I still can't believe how good they are. ☺
@@redvanontherun You're welcome! They are fantastic and a well kept secret it would seem. Check out their live performances too if you haven't. Joey inserts his witty-dry humor between songs and it really adds to the performance. ruclips.net/video/gL8eBrhVTJ4/видео.html. Cheers!
I just bought this CD, it's great. I have been drawn into Sean's music recently after stumbling on to some of his music on YT. He should be more well know, his style is honest and genuine and the stories in his lyrics are something I can relate to.
Discovered Sean’s music after hearing it in a film. Can’t remember the film, but what a great thing to find this artist. Highly recommend to grab his work on vinyl... fantastic sound!
Hey I have only just discovered This incredible talent. Shout out to the person who included his music on 'The Accountant'. The more I learn the sadder it makes me. His music is straight from the heart, his voice is timeless and he is the genuine thing. Tragically he has been taken from all of us b4 his time. My heart bleeds...Sadly missed..
I think everyday I go through the emotions of letting him go. I just want him to know I was never the person they tried to make me out to be..its nice to remember and be reminded who I am again.
My brother sent me this song a few months before he decided it was his time to go 🩶 I don’t know if anything looks like a molehill from this side, either, but it sure as fuck looks different. He told me that I was fighting the wrong things, and he was right, I just couldn’t understand that I was fighting the wrong things inside of ~me~. That what I was constantly trying to hack back was what needed room to grow, and what I was trying to force to grow was what I needed to let go. I hear you now, if it helps 🍻

How can an artist like this be kept a secret?
A friend of mine told me one of the best things ever, "Don't look on the radio, the main sources of music, look underground."
Its called "making profit out of sell out artist in exchange for them to have fame" and hes not like this. Those of discovered him deserve his music compare to those who ignores him because hes not a sell out.

I saw Sean live in a small venue. I was blown away by his raw talent. He makes it look easy.

Shades of Tom Waits

just found this Sean fellow but this is 100% what i said immediately after hearing the first song
When I saw him, he played a cover of Big Black Mariah. It was awesome! There are a few videos of him doing it on here.
Chords anyone?
ohh no...its a really bad aspect ratio
