- CINCINNATI (WKRC) - RUclipsr Felicia Hofner is detailing her experiences traveling from Munich, Germany to Cincinnati.
She joined Good Morning Cincinnati on July 14.
The name was changed recently due to legal issues. You can still find her and her content under her new name, "Feli from Germany". It's definitely worth checking out!
+
You can still Google the “old name” and she still comes up 🆙
There was another G%€£#!n Girl in America that got offended that she wasn’t on TV too 😂
@@Raevenswood indeed, and her name, quite fittingly, is Karen! 🤭
@@eberhardt9602 I got a good laugh at that too
As a German, I'm a little proud of Feli.
She represents your country very well! She's smart and well spoken. I've learned a lot about Germany by watching her channel. 💙🇩🇪🇺🇲
@@9sheri9 She is really great! I am pleased that you were able to gain many new impressions about Germany - sorry for my English ;-)
@@Politoxikoman your English is perfect 🤗 I wish I could speak German, maybe one day! I only speak English and intermediate Spanish. Feli's channel inspires me to visit Germany one day.
@@9sheri9 What's stopping you? Get into a plane and come over. It's not a big adventure, don't worry.
@@9sheri9 You are very welcome. Just learn a few German phrases. It makes us happy when a tourist tries to speak our language. And if you visit Germany try to approach younger people - they will speak English usually.
Feli is definetly a smart, german, young lady and she really represents our country in that way. Unfortunately not all people in our country are open minded like she is. I wish her the best and a lot of fun for the future, too.
Unfortunately that is true pretty much anywhere you go in the world, and the U.S. is about as divisive as it gets so it always great to see content like Feli's channel.
Feli had a copyright strike from an older woman from California who also called herself "German Girl in America". Her RUclips channel is now called "Feli from Germany"
Ironically that Californian woman is called Karen xD
She's not even from Germany which ticked me off tbh
I'm a subscriber to Felecia's RUclips channel, and I very much enjoy her perspective. As for her accent, IMHO she speaks American English better than many Americans. Felicia is a very bright and talented young lady, and I wish her only the best.
She’s a fantastic RUclipsr. We started watching her during the pandemic when we were missing travel and she’s great. 👍
Felicia has the BEST smile in the world! I love watching her videos.
Feli and Daniel Ricciardo, to be more precise :)
@@Yorgos2007 Who is he?
I am a loyal subscriber to Feli's channel since it was called "GGiA" and she never failed my expectations. Now she is "Feli from Germany" and my loyalness won't change. Greetings from the "Rheinland" (Aachen), Deutschland
She's a TV star too, Take that Karen.
HAHAHA!!!
🤣🤣🤣
ya that was quite the story xDD .............
@@sirkyrxon936 yeah it pissed me off. She put in the effort to contact the blogger to establish a dialogue, but apparently the blogger wasn’t having any of it. Some people plain suck, and I feel bad that that happened to Feli.
@@benjaminstephens7238 Yeah, me too!
Feli!!! I love her channel-- it's fun to watch, I always learn something new, and she always makes me smile.
I love Feli from Germany!!! 💛☺ She's amazing!
Feli from Germany, isn't it?
You always sound so enthusiastic! Well done!
Holy moly, Feli was on the news! :o
Fascinating. Love it.
What the heck was that "Chicken Dance" though? I'm fairly certain that's not super German, though it would fit in with our Faschingsseason (German Karneval?). What a Klamauk. :)
Greetings from a German in the UK. Seems the Algorithm is promiting this video now with Feli's recent channel name change.
Too bad "Karen from California" suddenly trademarked the name, "German Girl in America", and Felicia was given a desist order.
shouldve changed her yt name into "bavarian girl in ohio" -- if any law person would claim that's still "the same" i would ask them if they are stupid -.-
@@eyeofthasky That's what they told her tho. That names like this would sound too similar and wouldn't be allowed
@@FMSkyLoL i know that -- thats why i insulted them by indirect wording. for our law system, thats plainly ludicrous .... well, american law in general is often ludicrous to us (even if the reality is the same in both places as here people and companies find ways to circumvent valid laws ........ so maybe it's better to not even have a notion of rightfulness -- less frustrating, i guess, not having something that should at least in theory protect u)
@@FMSkyLoL How the hell are they even similar, that'd be insulting to most Bavarians too
Karen was just jelly that she hadn't got the chance to get on TV
Feli is the prettiest girl in the whole world!
I LOVE Felicia’s channel; she’s a nice lady and I enjoy every video.
Karen, not so much.
Karen not at all.
FELI FROM GERMANY!
I only wish that a higher percentage of young American native English speakers her age could learn to speak English as well as she does.
@@coldroses5337 what r u talking about
@@coldroses5337
I never heard something so ridiculous, because of socialism the kid's get well educated in Germany and other countries of Europe with the opportunity to learn different languages.
Go and hide in yr own cave and dont bother to come out!
How about more US kids should also know how to speak German as well as she's speaking English?
@@robertzander9723 I don't know what that guy wrote in the first place since his post seems to be deleted, but i'd like to mention that we don't have socialism in germany.
It's called social market economy, but unfortunatley the "social" part is getting reduced more and more these days.
@@jaygee6738 The GOP is more educated that YOU, Karen!!!
Maybe an updated story how someone with a personal blog and few followers forces someone with hundreds of thousands of followers to rebrand almost overnight.
You'll survive
Reeeeeee ... crazy how a Karen can do something
I went to school with her. She is just so sweet and cool.
its crazy that this was a year ago, before the name change. glad she got to be featured on local 12
Feli from Germany !
Yep !
She is now!
She is now, thanks to "Karen" from California!!
Feli is awesome!!!
Love watching her videos. Very pleasant and interesting. 👏👏
Her accent sounds like that of an Amish person--mild German accent. After all the Amish were from Germany but originally from Switzerland. They also speak a dialect of German called Pennsylvania Dutch which is called that because when the Amish first came to what is now the United States in the 1700s the first state they settled into was Pennsylvania, the dialect developed there, and the English colonists referred to anything and anyone from German speaking parts of Europe which include Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and even parts of the Netherlands as Dutch.
I'm surprised 'WKRP' hasn't given her an on air job offer.
Feli from Germany now. There was a copywrite issue with her channel.
Feli’s channel is worth watching. Her channel is now Feli from Germany, she got sued over German Girl in America.
I've been watching her for a while and just waiting for the news to pick her up
I ave never heard a German emigrè speak such excellent English..sehr gut
Thank you for your comments, Feli. I never would have guessed you are from Germany by your accent. Your accent sounds more standard American English than many who have lived here their entire lives.
That was really a well-conducted interview.
You never talk about how the marshall plan really boosted germany after world war 2 . I love what u do ! Great work !
Feli rocks!
Wow, on tV ! You go, girl !
Which was that video that got 5 million views? And tipped the balance to a more German audience?
Great Video
I really like her channel
Greetings from germany 🇩🇪
I don't think she actually named the video with the most views. Which one is it?
15 German brands YOU pronounce WRONG! has 4,4 million views; it might be that one.
The reporters name is Guy Smiley ....
OMG!!! Feli was on THAT station!!! "Living on the air in Cincinatti...Cincinatti WKRP". Does she know?!!!
Sharks and minnows. If you don't know which one you are you're not a shark. Feli From Germany learned a valuable business lesson. Her content is good compared to the 99+% of müll on RUclips. Prost🍻
Your last name is Hofner?!? Like the musical instrument company.
Wow!
It's very ironic the name of the woman who filed legal issues is named "Karen" :D
Love her.
Didn't she try to keep her last name a secret?
RUclipsrs usually do. I’m sure the producers at the local tv channel asked for permission to use her last name.
She's been in a number of interviews with her full name, so she's not exactly hiding it.
Feli…odd question, I know…BUT…any chance you are related to the Hofner musical instrument manufacturing company family? Or is Hofner like Smith or Jones in Germany, a common name?
Not as common as Smith (Schmidt) or the like, but it's probably not too uncommon since it's derived from the German word for "homestead", "farm" etc., so nothing to get too excited about I reckon 😁
The elderly lady who sued her is called „Karen“- that’s really her name!! 🤣🤣🤣 And I think the Karen meme is originally from America, isn’t it? So we know who the real German girl is. Not to mention the real-life Karen.🙄
I have looked her up- her first YT video is from end of August 2020. So how could Feli have known about her?! Or did Karen delete some older content?
Karen had a blog from before Feli had started broadcasting on RUclips.
Shes like, four years younger than me. So thats kewl!
You are a Natural, the camera loves you!...I totally missed on who you were gearing your material to. I said in the early stages it was more
Germans, I thought, cause spent a disproportionate amount of time describing your views of American culture but as you matured you were doing constant comparing back and forth so I took that to be more for the Americans.
From what you say here its the opposite, upon when hearing your reasoning makes total sense. (Americans want to hear your descriptions of American culture?) Hmmm, still not sure but I guess the "hit" break down tells the tale
WKRC needs to hire her for a regular German segment.
1:20, when they're talking about Oktoberfest, the television station shows 1) Samuel Adams and 2) The Chicken Dance... two things that aren't German, lol
🇩🇪
She doesn’t sound German
Feli!!
how cool is that ;-)
I found Germans speaking English to not have much of an accent. They "dance" a bit more in their pronunciation, but that's about it.
Yeah where's the link?

Hey I know her 😃
Go Bearcats
G'day, mate. Tschüss aus Australien.
Not sure Cincinatti while a beautifull city is not on the level of Milwaukee Wisconsin! as far as German heritage.
Feli ist besonders shone von die stadt Munchen
Feli hat bei den Amerikanern einen besonders guten Eindruck von Deutschland hinterlässt
@@diy_lothar4422 actually it's "hinterlassen" ;)
@@wolldaten3793 Thank you Wolldaten. Those many years without properly studying German have taken their toll, lol
@@diy_lothar4422 no problem, except of this little mistake, you made a great job! And without "professional" studying, it's even more impressive.
Please tell the interwiever he got a thick accent, and his english is hard to understand.
Theres no need to be rude.
Not at all mate, he has a very nice American English accent, I really like that
Work on your English
Don’t feed the troll 😂
Schweiz!

what? How comes Switzerland here?
Hallo Schweiz
