Hola Familia!
This Nyc family went on a very last minute vacation to Dominican Republic. Santo Domingo to be exact. (So this is a travel vlog 2023, Not a Nyc vlog or a Brooklyn vlog-- next time Okay!! haha) We decided to Santo Domingo Dominican Republic because my grandma and mom were also coming and they haven't been in Republica Dominicana for a while. So decided to make this a baecation. We had so much fun. For starters we stayed in Zona Colonial in a beautiful airbnb for just $45 a night. Zona Colonial is located in the capital- Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. There are many things to do in Dominican Republic and this is one of them. Lots of restaurants, the Santo Domingo nightlife, art, and history. We also went to Barrio Chino, went dancing, walked around, ate delicious food. Best part was seeing my grandmas house after so many years.
Let me tell you it felt incredible leaving NYC for a bit because this Nyc family definitely needed it. Santo Domingo was was great, slow living with amazing vibes.

do you recommend staying in zona colonial or piantini is fine as well if you just Uber into zona colonial?
I would say staying in Piantini is perfectly fine. It's not too far from zona. I went again after this trip, but this time with our son, and we stayed in Zona again. We love how easy and accessible you are to whatever vibe you want. However, I'm thinking I want to stay on the Piantini side next time ago just to explore more on that side! Thanks for watching!

The first one was the Merengue Club, the second one was El Sarten, third is Safe zone, 4th Onno's Zona Colonial
Who picked you up from the airport ? The Airbnb provided transport
My uncle picked us up from the airport. FYI- For short rides, Uber works great but for longer rides, it may be problematic
