Oddly enough I don't feel that threatened by the people from that other dimension. They seem a tired, depraved and defeated people grinding towards extinction. They're not even smart enough to conceal a hostile upload on a computer. Honestly I feel sorry for them.
Yeah that occurred to me, they've encountered a world where compassion, hope and dignity still have a fighting chance. The logical thing to do would be to ask for our help

I'm on a 2 A.M nostalgia trip, going through old creepypastas and Minecraft videos from my early adolescence. I'm 20 now, and I miss the good old days, even though I am still young, all things considered.
Same this stuff makes me so happy and calm. Us late 2000s/early 2010s kids was blessed wit so much cool shit on the internet, at least a lot of it is still here for now.

I really like this take on CreepyPasta. It goes to show that humans are truly afraid of the unknown, and that that "other internet" could be a manifesto of our own hidden cruelty. It doesn't ave to be a killer with a knife, nor a tall slender figure in a suit with no face. It can be those things just as much as an alternate world where humans are as our own dark sides are. This particular genre of horror tends to fall under what is called "Cosmic Horror" which was popularized in the works of HP Lovecraft, and not many other people... maybe Silent hill.

I always think that when I listen to Creepypastas, I always expect them to end with a bunch of armed men and scientists from Southern California Petroleum to show up :P
It seems like "the other internet" would have a hard time tracking him, since they seems to be in the late 90's and the narrator is in modern times with a 2000's laptop. That said, I've always been fascinated with the idea of a modern person with modern tech going back to the 80's or WW2, just imaging how a WW2 era government would react to smartphones is hilarious.
This is probably one of my favourite creepypastas. The dystopian concept just feels so real. Not that I believe alternate universes actually exist, but the creepypasta just has a feeling of reality. I also love how it didn't resort to the whole 'being stalked by a crazy murderer or grotesque beast' thing.
This story gets slept on WAY too hard.

I really like this story because overall it shows how in our real world nothing on the internet can actually harm you in any way (cyber bullying, not getting a follow back, etc). This story highlights the amount of unjustified stress we let the internet cause in our lives.
This creepypasta just sounds like he spent a few hours in a conspiracy theory chat forum.

after playing Hacknet OS so much recently, I really think someone ought to make an extension for the game based off of this creepypasta. Like after this story takes place, a hacker group takes interest and sets up a watertight secure remote connection to allow them to work with it at a distance, but keep it absolutely isolated to prevent a breach. they go around exploring, stealing data, unraveling mysteries, evading anyone seeking them out, possibly help change that world for the better.

Though the premise of the story isn't anything unique, the way it's written and told makes it amazingly gripping. I listened to it riding my bike home at night and could just feel myself getting more tense and jumpy the further I got. The threat was left unexplained and unsolved, with an unsure outcome.
That's how I like my horror.

If anyone has read about the Crime Syndicate and earth three, this story reminds me of what earth three would have been like.

What's interesting is that I remember a story that went over all of the news networks that stated that the US Government was working on something called "The Internet 2," which was supposed to be an upgraded and newer version of the internet that will replace the current one.
Whoever wrote this has inside knowledge. I mean an eye of Horus is on the computer 😂😂
This is one of the few creepy-pasta's that actually freaked me out.
I read a thing on reddit about something much worse then this, nobody really knew if it was real or not. It was worse then the usual stuff on the deep web, it was about this guy who said he was looking around and stumbled upon some livestream. There was donation of money(cryptocurrencies) and once it reached the goal, the people in the comments were saying "start," or "go go go" in various languages. (there were a few hundred people in the chat) Soon the victim was brought in by some guys in masks, she was a girl around 20 years old, and she was begging desperately to be let go. They began stomping on her enough to snap her bones, and eventually cutting her open and letting her bleed out. Considering this might be true, it's creepy. But it's unlikely considering such a thing couldn't be accessed so easily even through Tor, you would have to get it from specific people

This is probably my most favorite creepypasta. It's literally my very first creepypasta I read/heard that is not horror but a sci-fi and bizarre theme like X-Files and very original. This is no cliché stuffs like Slenderman, Jeff the killer, Sonic.exe which is the worst since I'm an anti-Sonic fandom

This didn't really feel creepy to me. The idea of an alternate reality making a connection via computers however is quite interesting, it's a shame the writer didn't go a bit further with the download.
