Thank you ! All of your videos helped me! I just shot my recurve for the first time ever! I felt extremely confident and hit the bullseye a few time, awesome job very clear on what you have to say!
Hi Tara, I love your content. You are helping me shoot better. I use about 5 old boogie boards taped together for my target. Bless you, Jason Downs Under
Greetings from Australia Tara.. Awesome video for someone wanting to get into archery...like me. Haven't searched for a local club yet but watching your videos , I'm fired up to start. Target gun shooting here in Australia is becoming so difficult from a powder availability point of view We make our powder here in Oz but it's sent to U.S for use in various world conflicts. Leaving domestic recreational shooters struggling. But I'm off subject So now I have your info to start my search for gear. Thank you so much. I'll let you know how I go. Cheers from Oz Tara Neil ✌️
Thank you for all of the great information. After watching several other videos, I like your approach and explanation style. I have earmarked most of your recommendations for purchase, I am a beginner, what chest guard do you recommend?
I grew up shooting Olympic-style archery. For hunting, I always shot a compound. Now that I teach beginners how to shoot , I always have the barebows out! Which do I prefer? I can't decide! LOL I really enjoyed shooting the Olympic recurve bow...but yesterday I shot the compound...and now I want to buy a new compound! LOL
@@ArcheryHouse Broadening horizons is always a good thing for eclecticism can't lie! For me i'm still new to this and only had a mandarin duck phantom knockoff lol but am waiting on the black hunter #60 and prefer bare bow raw except maybe some felt on the shelf! Haven't tried compound but have studied and noticed the arrow speed is generally faster and with the release clip making it more powerful and accurate but i'm also really into challenging myself to the max! Thanks for the engagement miss :)
Thank you for your great videos Tara, I have two questions: 1. As a beginner 30 y/o male, with average strength, is it ok to start with a 30 lbs limb on Samick sage? (I don't want to spend more for a new limb later on) 2. Should I be concerned about the bow breaking because of tension when I'm aiming? How often a bow breaks and how dangerous is it?
Gday Tara...Are the Sage beginner level bows all a similar length ? Or is that a variable we can get confused with, as a beginner Cheers from Oz Neil✌️
Tara, I need help! I shoot a 25# recurve, and I have 500 spine arrows. I’m actually very accurate with these but people keep telling me they’re too stiff. What do you recommend as far as spine? Also, my arrows are 30”, which I thought was perfectly fine, but my draw length is 26.5 so do I need shorter arrows? This is too confusing once I started digging🤦♀️ Also…I have 100 grain field tips. Which apparently is also wrong. Or is it?
I haven't tried the Avalon. Will have to check it out! I do love the cartel...and I, personally, haven't had any of those issues, but thank you for sharing! I wonder if it has to do with different types of limb tips.
Nice! Just ordered a quite complete recurve starter set, but found some christmas-hints in these! Thanks!
Perfect!
I took my first class today here in Austin, I really enjoyed it, looking forward to watching your videos
Awesome! Thank you! What club in Austin? I have a lot of friends that shoot and coach in Texas!
Great post my friend. I appreciate all the information you are sharing here. I'm excited to start my new hobby.
Thank you! I was hoping this video would help new archers!
Today I learned about a lot of tools I’ve always seen but never knew their purpose. Great recommendations.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for this great info. Arrows are so confusing, so this helped a lot! Also, you just gave me lots of ideas for my Christmas wish list!
Glad I could help!

Thanks for the video. Great info. I just started myself.
Best of luck!
Thanks for this survey. My daughter wants to begin archery and I’m having to learn enough to start her.
Thank you much! You are now my goto source to get me started.

you are in my top 3 list among the overall archery channels, just below Clay Hayes, but first for olympic archery lessons :)

What's your bow preference Tara?

Hello, string recommendations for a 58” 35# Sanlida Eagle X9 recurve bow? So many options, I’m just shooting targets out back

You don’t suggest sights for beginners?
Those Cartel bow stringers are dangerous, they sometimes come undone under tension. The Avalon bow stringer is the best.
